I just bought cedar mulch and their operator gave me such small scoops that it took 4 of their so called "large" 3/4 ton scoops to fill my short bed truck. 1 1/2 - 2 scoops has always filled the truck bed in the past. As a result, they charged me $126 and claimed that it was because the mulch was compacted from the rain. Their operator even admitted that short bed trucks normally hold 1 1/2 - 2 scoops. I'm just surprised and disappointed that they didn't make any concessions... Hardscape has better weekend hours and has always been great, but I will have to go back to Tulsa Sod and Mulch from now on. read more

This is my favorite plant store next to me. They have good prices, healthy plants, and very helpful and friendly employees. I've boughten three of my plants from them. All three at different times. Each time Margret has helped me. She's knowledgeable, kind, and goes above and beyond to help you. I go in for "plant daddy" retail therapy... Always leave feeling happy!! The selection for plants is a smaller selection, but keep in mind some come in an already seasoned terra-cotta pot, the pot alone cost over $10 at any are typical hardware store. I loved seasoned pots where the plant is already "at home" and happy. Their soil is much better than a generic plant from a Lowe's or hardware store as well. It's loose, full of shredded pine bark, and minerals like perlite or vermiculite to aerate the soil. Also the size and quality of the plants are very impressive. When you go thru the front doors that is the indoor plant selection, when you go thru the back doors that's where the pots and outdoor miscellaneous garden materials are. Really nice store! Hardscapes in Bixby is one of my favorite places to visit and shop! They offer hardscape materials for an abundance of outdoor entertainment builds, koi pond materials, a variety of fish, pond plants, chemicals, garden fountains, and more! If you don't have a pond, it's just a cool place to visit & see all their beautiful koi in the ponds and streams! We initially visited the store for educational purposes in preparing our pond for koi. For a minimal fee, you can also schedule an appt for one of the experts to come to your home. And they offer a list of preferred vendors for other services such as pond builds, repairs, and cleaning. The guys are always nice, knowledgeable, and helpful! We visit at least 1x/month for FREE water testing! Pop by and enjoy the scenery! read more

Been coming here for years! I'd guess we've bought over 5,000 pounds of different rocks from here. All rocks either in pond or around flower beds. Crew leader in rock weighing area got to know us very well. Good man. Great staff, either upfront or in pond house. They've helped me many time with my pond issues. OK this is like a wonderland of a garden shop, a pond & koi shop and all sorts of hard materials like rocks and gravel and lots of pots and garden stuff. I came here to get some gravel for a small space in my backyard. I measured the three dimensions of the space and calculated I would need a half ton of gravel. I looked up Hardscape Materials online and visited once just to check it out and was met by very friendly gal named sunshine, And of course I picked up a random garden troll and a garden mushroom. I came back a week later to pick up my gravel and chose the Adobe pebbles that are in my photo below. I called them from my car and was able to arrange a half a ton delivered to my house later in the week. The half ton of gravel came and was exactly perfect for my project. The dump truck guy was super friendly and careful and put the gravel exactly where I wanted it. I am planning now to go back and get some really cool pots - they have really great garden pots! This is out-of-the-way for me but this is my definite garden shop in Tulsa!! read more

I had high hopes going to Hardscapes to purchase a fountain and other outdoor items, but the service is lousy. What's worse is the customer service; when checking out the lady waiting on me was less than friendly--she gave me a "put out" look when I asked a few questions. That's the last time I'm going there and no recommendations to others will come from me! read more

Even if you find out that we are "just looking" at the moment don't then blow us off when we ask questions. Your future business depends on customer service and if you treat people differently just because they may simply be looking at your merchandise then you've got a serious problem. We certainly would have returned to make purchases on some pots and garden decorations we really liked but not now. I'd rather go anywhere else. read more

This place was really neat! I went here after my neighbor told me it was where he bought the rocks he used for his landscaping. The place is located not too far from my house in South Tulsa. They have just about anything for your outdoor needs you could imagine. After speaking to the lady at the front desk, I drove to the left of the office, to the self-serve rock area. They weighed my car, I drove up and filled it with as many rocks/landscaping stones as I wanted, and they weighed my car afterwards. Then, I took my ticket and paid. Easy as that! They had all kinds of rocks and stones- they were very organized and clearly marked with their prices. The stones ranged anywhere from $0.07-0.20/lb. I got 260 pounds of stone for about $50 and my yard looks a lot better because of it! And I never thought I would have so much fun shopping for rocks- who knew! read more

I have been coming to Heartscape for about a year,& the place is awesome. I was House sitting for a friend who happened to have a Koi pond. While he was out of the country I ran into some major issues with the pump system. This was definitely outside my wheelhouse! I was in a panic! I had been to the Heartscape pump house to talk to the amazing, helpful staff. After my 3rd visit , I was visibly upset & overwhelmed. Errin was so patient & knowlege. Not only did she take her time with me on a Very busy Saturday before Father's, she assumed me it was going to be ok. She sent Ben over, & he got it up & running for me. Ben was so patient & kind. I hate leaving negative reviews but in this case it's warranted. We have used Hardscapes for years with excellent results and experiences but today they lost us as a customer forever. With the Covid virus restrictions currently in place we wore our face coverings and gloves and stopped to look for some more paver stones for our backyard. As we walked in the outside area starting our search we were approached by one of the employees who very aggressively demanded to know what we wanted. We explained that we needed more patio pavers and wanted to look at the selection they had in stock. He angrily said unless we knew exactly what we wanted and were prepared to buy them immediately we needed to get in our vehicle and leave the premises. At that point we just got back in the truck and exited the property. The open sign was lit up and nowhere visible was anything posted about pickup orders only or closed to the public and the parking lot had multiple vehicles up front. Regardless the man was extremely rude and with most people unemployed right now you would think he would be appreciative to even have a job. He was cleaning the fish pond up front when we arrived and in his mid to late forties wearing no PPE, unshaven, and unkept appearance. We will never shop with them again after today, could have been handled so much more politely and professionally. read more
