After my wife came home and got me back in through the backdoor, I took the knob apart. The Westlock help line pointed me toward Home Hardware. I had never heard of them, much less been there. When I got there, Craig Tyler greeted me. I told him my situation. I expected to buy a new knob assembly. Westlock no longer makes the one we had. Craig took my zip lock bag with all the pieces and proceeded to rebuild it before my very eyes. He even rekeyed it to our key. It may have taken him ten minutes. I could not believe it. After putting it back together and slipping it back in my bag, we proceeded to head to the front counter. I asked him how much I owed. He said nothing. I tried to pay him for his time. He would not take anything. I joked with him about him being a brain surgeon after hours. No one or no company has impressed me like Craig and Home Hardware did on Tuesday morning in a long long time. I am totally sold on them. They have a new customer for life. As I said earlier, I had never been there before. They serviced a part they did not sell me. Hats off! What a breath of fresh air. This was old fashioned customer service at its best. It made me feel like I was back in the days I grew up in at a store in my neighborhood. By the way, I was able to put the door knob back together in less than 10 minutes without any issues. I tried several different places, and finally decided on Lowe's. I made two separate purchases, two different times. The first time I thought they did a good job, so I purchased three more later on. The first time, they installed a defective window, without a locking mechanism! In another room, you can see between the window frames! The crew never told me about this! The second time, The installer finished two windows however, the third was the wrong size. He called someone who told him to make it fit! So he did. When he told me that he was finished, I asked him why he didn't re-install the outside trim around the windows. He said that wasn't included in the installation and left! I must say that this was a few years ago. However, I just discovered the window without the lock. I was furious. Since this wasn't a recent installation, I guess I am out of luck getting repairs. I just want to make people aware that if they need windows, avoid Lowe's.

Checkout was friendly, fast and easy. Today I went into the same store and couldn't find what I was looking for. I walked the entire store looking for an employee that would help me find it but I did not see a single employee anywhere! Even yelled into the back room but no reply. I did buy something else and went to checkout. There was only one clerk and she was struggling to checkout the couple in front of me. It took her about 5 minutes to get it right with them, although they only had 3 items. I won't be back to that store unless it is the only one left in Tulsa area.
