The milkshakes at this location are genuinely and confoundingly bad. The consistency of the "shake" is essentially just liquid. No mass or weight, no peaks or solidity. The ratio of milk to ice cream feels like 99:1. Devastating from a renown and respected brand. What a waste to use a fantastic product by basically diluting it down to flavored milk. I now know what NOT to order at one of my favorite chains and find it sad that I've found a gaping hole in the menu.

We were helped by who we assumed to be the owner, who was friendly and also keeping things moving as groups (understandably) hemmed and hawed over their flavor choices. While we weren't here for cookies this time, they piqued our interest and we'll explore that more on our next visit. I wasn't asked for a review or anything in exchange for the cookie cake. My review would be the same if I had paid for this myself. I am, apparently, just the luckiest person on Instagram this week. The cake was delivered to our home on Tuesday morning. It was well-packaged in a sturdy box, plastic wrap, and a plastic collar to keep everything contained. Though it looks like I benefited from local delivery, I have no doubt that the cookie cake would have been fine through courier shipping like UPS. I bake quite a bit so it's always an extra special treat to have something made by someone else, especially something that's adorable *and* delicious. And this hit both marks. The cookie cake is colorful with rainbow sprinkles throughout the cookies and also used for decorating. I was slightly concerned that this would be too sweet. You know, that kind of cloying sweetness that makes your throat ache a little or your tongue feel fuzzy? There was no reason for concern. The balance of the cookie and buttercream is perfect and it's clear they've spent a lot of time perfecting that buttercream recipe to be a complement to the baked good rather than something trying to steal the show or mask inadequate baked goods. The texture of the cookie is perfection - soft enough to bite into, sturdy enough to not be mushy or sponge-like. When I initially won the giveaway, a few friends asked me for a review because they saw my entry and were intrigued. The 5 pieces were warm and delightful. Although they were not as fluffy and were thinner than other naan we've had, they had crispy, crunchy bases and were packed with garlicky flavor in every bite, seriously addictive! Just for the Mango Lassi and Garlic Naan, I would absolutely come back. We also ordered Butter Chicken ($19) and Goat Curry ($22) to share. Since their entrées do not include rice, we also got an order of Basmati Rice ($4). The Butter Chicken was creamy and buttery, although the sauce was a bit on the sweet side. The chicken pieces were all meat and not dry. The Goat Curry was spicy but flavorful, with tender meat attached to the bones, except for one chewy piece. There's plenty of interesting chocolates to enjoy and many of these are seasonal.
