Great place for your organizational needs. I came here with the sole purpose of finding a container for my bathroom where I could put all of my skincare products. I left with a bookcase, storage cubby, and two large benches that now hide toys. They were having a great sale that had 25% off the entire store and in the back left there was 70% off clearance items. That's how we walked out saving about the same amount of money that we spent. I have to say I really enjoy seeing this stuff in person instead of ordering online. Many times I've been surprised by either the quality or the size of things that I order off of Amazon, there's something to be said about being able to see it in person. Again, I didn't even know I was looking for benches, but the moment I saw them, I thought that is so much nicer than just having things in boxes. This isn't a place you go to save money, because I'm sure some other organizational thing will catch your eye and you'll decide you need it. I don't think this is a bad thing because a cleanly house helps ease the mind. Everyone working there was so friendly, they saw us struggling with boxes and came and grabbed them to put upfront for us. On a Saturday at around noon it was surprisingly not busy at all. Right now they have a sale on all their storage productstoday. 25% off. There were other items that was also for sale or clearance. I found a lot of. Items that I have never seen before. Worst customer service I've ever encountered. The incompetence and lack of professionalism is staggering. I have been waiting for six months for them to complete the installation of my closet. If doing an Elfa closet install make sure you use their installers which will add 30% to your purchase price. Their system is proprietary and very challenging to install on your own. It took us over 12 days to install. The instructions were terrible, incomplete, inconsistent, and very misleading. We even hired a handyman who couldn't figure it out. Halfway through they tell us about this BILT app which did help somewhat. Bottom line is they are glorified wire shelves. Very disappointed in the entire process. read more

What a huge store--so many containers! I like the different categories that they put them in, travel, office, bathroom, etc. The prices here are high for most items, but you can get some cheap items too, and some on sale. Overall, this is a truly amazing experience! First, this is a very well laid out store. Everything is findable and there are plenty of team members to help. Second, they have everything you could ever think of and plenty more for organizing your kitchen, your pantry, your closet, anywhere and everywhere! Plus plenty you never thought up until you saw it. For us that included several dozen perfectly matched orange hangers. My closest never looked better. Additionally, everything I bought that had to be installed was super easy to do. What is amazingly pleasant experience that is. We decided to upgrade our laundry room and associate helped us with a design in less than 15 minutes. She listened carefully to what we wanted to accomplish and worked with us on a plan that I can't wait till it's installed. By the way, the design and installation service makes it so easy. Decided to come hang out and browse with my daughter as part of our girls day out. I have to say that I could spend HOURS in this store just browsing at all the stuff. There are all sorts of organization items from the kitchen, to the bedroom to the bathroom. They sell closet organization and kitchen items as well as all sorts of containers for your organization needs. We ended up getting some new measure cups, some hangers, and a bamboo shelf for my kitchen cabinet to help with organization of the cabinet. The store is very organized and well laid out. Decided to stop by the place for different unique containers for gift giving this holiday season. I have been in here before and the customer service was amazing. Not today!. Seems everyone was busy talking to each other and not the customers. Several customers in the store but no one was helping them. Take that back one person did get help after having to approach a representative for assistance. I was actually on a row looking ar items. Two representatives came in my row. They did not say a word to me, but was having a full conversation between themselves. After a few minutes I walked off. Walking down the center of the store we now have two more associates standing talking. One looked at me, but no hi, can I help? Nothing! Well guess they were busy talking about the wind storm one of them had to encounter. She said it was cool for what I could hear as well as probably others since it was a not so quiet conversation. So let me go to another area. The Christmas area. Walking around and here comes a guy, the same guy from first conversation with a ladder. Again no are you finding everything you need? Nothing. Where do I begin... I asked for an in home consultation for custom closets. Took a few wks even to have someone come out. I waited despite having other companies come rt out. Consultant Spent a few hours at my house, told me I'd have designs and estimate in a day or two. 2 wks later nothing. I texted, called, emailed... no response. Finally called the store, told them the situation and they were adamant they were going to solve the issue.... Never heard from them again. Life got busy and I let it go... last week decided to start working on my master closet situation again. I decided to give them another chance and they had mentioned the former employee that came out was no longer there. The person I spoke to was very apologetic and promised that this time they would come through and they were going to speak with the manager and get back to me the next day. Crickets... never heard back and it's been over a week. To say they are unprofessional and unreliable is a GROSS understatement. Look elsewhere if you want any type of service whatsoever. read more

It's a gigantic store full of bins and boxes and baskets and cubbies and shelves and hanging things and drawers. It's a great concept and I enjoyed browsing the store - but it's way too expensive. I'll end up going there to get ideas and then reproducing them with items purchased online or (what?) at the dollar store. This is one of the stores I try to avoid. Not because I don't like it, but for whatever reason when I go in for one thing I end up having the urge to organize something I didn't even think needed organizing before I came in. This place has all types of containers for organization. It's also inspirational. You feel like you can be a better, more organized person...at least until you get home and have to actually organize. Then I still don't feel as organized as I could be in the end. Which has me coming back for more! I try to come in with a coupon as these containers aren't the cheapest in town. You have to search for help if you need it in here. As a matter of fact the price point and lack of customer attention is the reason I can't give it 5 stars. The store is large and it's not too hard to find what you need if you look long enough because, well it IS organized. I like this store, and I was one of the many who was excited it was coming to Tampa. I rarely go to this store when I am specifically looking for something; it's the type of store I go to and wander around, then discover all these little things that I needed, but didn't know I needed them. It sells far more than just 'containers'. They have multi-unit closets, travel, bath, kitchen and office items, shelves, shoe boxes, decorative hooks, etc. Part of the appeal of this store is that they seem to have interesting items that I don't see in any other store. The holiday season is an especially good time to shop here, because they have tables and tables of stocking stuffer type items, for reasonable prices. Items like selfie sticks, tea infusers, mini knife sharpeners, cork decorating kits, USB wall chargers, etc. They also have a large selection of both Christmas and Chanukah gift wrap, boxes, tins, and bows. I'm more than a little embarrassed to admit that for a period of time I was the duke of The Container Store. I was confused when I first read about how this chain was coming to Tampa and the level of excitement that was generating for its loyal fans. "All this for a store for boxes?" I remember thinking. I was foolish enough to come to their opening weekend and it was a madhouse. We ended up leaving quickly without looking around. On a subsequent visit it was nice to actually be able to look around. I can't say that The Container Store blows me away, but browsing the store is fun and whenever I go I always seem to find something that I didn't realize that I needed. Well hello wet-bag for storing your not-yet-dry swimming trunks in a suitcase. How are you Mr. pill box that separates my vitamins so nicely? Nice to meet you desktop cord organizer. I could go on and on. It can be painful getting out of the parking lot onto Westshore Blvd when you're done shopping. If you go to the right side of the parking lot you can actually turn right directly onto Spruce St. That makes it so much easier for me when I'm leaving. read more

Two stars because I don't think The Container Store offers any unique storage or organization items that I cannot find elsewhere (or cheaper). One would think that The Container Store would be your one-stop shop for any type of organization or storage needs, but I have walked away empty handed on numerous occasions because I cannot find the item or brand that I am looking for. This past Saturday I was searching for glass food storage containers because I wanted to toss out our old plastic Tupperware. The store carried numerous shelves of plastic food storage containers, but I could only find one small shelf of glass storage containers and none of the containers were large enough for what I needed. (I make large batches of soup and stews and needed containers that could hold 6-8 quarts of food.) I ended up finding what I was looking for at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I wouldn't mind paying a little more if The Container Store offered one-of-a-kind products that I could not buy elsewhere, but that is unfortunately not the case. read more

This is a super spot for all kinds of shelving, hooks, containers and other organizational tools. It's bright, modern and clean. The employees are friendly. They have dozens of garbage receptacles to choose from. For your garage, closet, kitchen or office this is a fun spot to get ideas and work up your Martha Stewartesque organizational and design ideas. If you want more antiquey or traditional looks I would maybe try estate sales or Goodwill instead. But for all new modern order, you won't find more glass jar sizes and box varieties elsewhere. read more

The thought of a store dedicated to storage seemed a little odd but I found myself wandering the aisles in complete awe. I think I may have a crush on the Container Store. There's more to this concept then a bunch of bins, heaps of hooks and hangers and stacks of racks. There's even wrapping paper and packing materials in case what you get there is a gift or has to be shipped. The centerpiece/showcase displays of closets offer some great ways to get the shoes of the floor, loose items in a drawer and still leave plenty of space for clothing items that have to hang. These closets are so stylish and well put together you may have to go out and get a new wardrobe that is worthy of such a well designed space. There are lots of nicely designed items for the office as well as other rooms in the house, like the kitchen and bathroom, as well as great cases for travel, sleek trash cans and even lovely laundry bags. read more

The closet organization systems are pretty great. Priced decently, simple to install and easy on the eyes. I hate having too many storage bins but the two I did buy are sturdy and weather proof. They can get expensive depending on what you need but shopping on Amazon and having to return things can be tiresome.
