We had a basic foundation sag creating a stair step crack in the brick and a hard to open window…read more The very issue that every video, commercial and brochure used by AFS claims to be able to correct. Met with Sean Sellers of AFS on Saturday. Nice man. He explained the process. Stated while there were no guarantees, he was "92%" sure AFS could raise the foundation and close the gap. Sean explained: The crew would place boards down to protect the driveway from the mini excavator to be used. Any damage to the sprinkler system would be repaired. "The crew carries connectors on the trucks". Outside lighting would be repaired and replaced. Any aggregate driveway damage would be repaired The process would required "2X2" holes at each of the pillar locations. The workers did not put wood down to protect the driveway. Damage. The sprinkler system was cut in multiple places, they lost the heads and said they didn't have the equipment nor expertise to repair the damage. Same response for the outside lighting. 2 foot square holes turned into 3' x 10' trenches which they poorly filled back in and damaged parts of the yard they didn't even have to go to. The driveway is obviously load bearing but they are unable to replace the damage areas appropriately. Their response, "I didn't know that was the expectation" And to top it off, the site crew stated they believed their job was to "stablized" the house, not lift it, which was the whole point of undertaking the project to start with. We proceeded on Sean's word that the settlement would be corrected and the cracks closed just like the video he showed us prior to signing the contract. The agreement stated AFS was not responsible for damages to hidden utilities but "Utilities protection will cover repairs to private utilities damaged during installation (cable, sprinklers, private water lines, private electric lines etc). Repairs limited to damaged area and do not include full line replacement." To be fair, Sean did offer to cover the cost of sod. Consider carefully before engaging AFS. Read the contract word for word. Take nothing for granted nor anyone at their word. I would not recommend AFS to anyone

They were the second place to come out and check out our foundation. Maybe overkill on my part, but I wanted a few different opinions before deciding what to do. They walked the property inside and out and even went under our house to inspect the beams and supports. Just like the other companies that came out, they came up with the same response, the foundation looks solid and we didn't need to any upgrades or changes. I booked them originally because of a crack in our bonus room, but the USS guy told us it was most likely due to the crazy weather we've been having. Shout out to the USS team for all of the help!

I have a severely cracking driveway pad and Jason (sales) came out with Evan (worker) to see if…read morethey could help. They said they could. The total was $4000 for about 10 holes on two 11 x 7 aggregate pads, 2 men, and 4 hours of work. The result is no better than when started. The poly gun malfunctioned and injected more than required and also poured out all over with each trigger pull. Evan made a new peak in the driveway and also lifted the steps to my patio both of which were not supposed to happen so that now rain will roll backward and pool. I have already tripped twice. Evan my concrete with a saw and said that would prevent the steps from lifting but they did. After he injected the poly under the worst crack and I noticed a hill, he returned to grind it down but it did not really help. I made calls to both Jason and Evan the next day and day after. Jason said he was out of town and Evan did not respond. I asked for them to return to dissolve the poly in 2 spots. I never received a receipt or signed anything. Based on this, I would tell you not to do it. it is a waste of money. Either lives with the cracks or get a full re-pour. All that it really needed was grinding. Also, my garage door no longer closes because he lifted one corner higher than the other and the rollers are now offline and bent. My belief is they hired subs or they have no idea what they are doing and just want the money.

I sought out all of the foundation companies in Nashville who all offered very costly solutions to mitigate the movement but not to actually fix the problem. Jay was the only one to offer a solution that seemed radical, but with his experience and skill of his crew pulled it off quite well. The foundation was broken in several places, the blocks holding the house up were broken and cracked and leaning. Jay's solution was to lift the house, tear out the blocks and foundation, pour a new one and lay new block. That is what they did and sit the house back down. This house has plaster walls and ceilings. I expected more cracks than were already there but it didn't happen. I was a very satisfied customer and would recommend WFS to anyone looking for a permanent solution to foundation issues.
