I purchase my home in 2020 and have been trying to get it renovated since then. Every roadblock and obstacle one could imagine, I have dealt with trying to find a contractor to complete the job. My project is large, funded with an escrow account, and budget locked in back in 2020 so that complicated the process even more. Fast forward to Jan. 2022 after yet another contractor backed out at the last minute a Google search lead me to James and my world changed! He went through every step required by my escrow account quickly, regardless of how ridiculous some of the steps were. He gave solutions and options that fit the budget, and kept me in the loop on everything, even before work started. Fast forward a little more to April 2022 when work started and I'm in awe of how well his team worked together and every single person that entered my house was beyond respectful. Again James kept me in the loop on EVERYTHING. There is not a single thing to happen during my project that wasn't communicated with me. There were a few design options that needed to be changed/tweaked but I absolutely understand why- and the alternatives that James (Team) gave were better. We are in the final days and I am in love with my home, and I will actually miss having the team around because they are family now. I have been living in this house out of boxes since Nov. 2020, but as of July 2022, I will finally get to unpack my home. I say all of this to say....when you call James please don't suck- because you are going to get a contractor that is accountable, consistent, knowledgeable, patient, reputable on top of an amazingly beautiful product.

What was initially…read moregoing to be just a leak repair, me and my wife decided to go ahead and remodel the master bath shower since it was on our list of goals anyway. We requested quotes from 2companies. JC (SHR owner) had his quote completed and sent to me within 48hrs. I tried waiting for the other company to return their quote to compare, but after 2weeks, I simply couldn't wait any longer...and am so thankful we didn't. JC was extremely transparent throughout the entire process, from the in-home estimate to the post-project review. During the in-home estimate, he laid out the project as a whole and each sequential step within the project to better help us with expectation management. The fact that he did this shows he understands, and has, a concern for his clients/customers being informed & satisfied and how to avoid any possible miscommunications. His ability to anticipate client's inevitable irritation at losing their "space" drives his commitment to transparency and ensuring his clients that he is moving as fast as he can given the unavoidable logistical factors/concerns. After each day he would he would explain what happened that day and what was coming up for the next day. Anything that would be further out than the next day, he inform us of that date as well. When his employees completed their task(s), he would swing by again to ensure quality work was done and would have his assistant record any & all "touch ups" for them to complete the next day to ensure quality work and his employees always followed through. Ray and Rachel (employees) were always on time and had the greatest attitudes, not to mention their skills were top shelf. He used a sub for tile installment named Brandon and that dude was the most professional "tile guy" I've ever encountered. He LOVES his job and will tell you about it too! Lol! Knowing that the people working on your home love what they do and are very good at it, means the homeowner(s) can rest easy knowing they're getting quality work. It's also a reflection of JC and his high business acumen, showcasing his ability to create and sustain great business relationships with other skilled tradesmen/tradeswomen in his field. No one ever abused our house or our time or were short with us...they were people I would actively conversate with if I saw them out in public. Like a previous client/customer reported, everyone from SHR became a form of "extended family". We will absolutely be looking to hire them again in the future.

Both owners came out separately and were interested in our needs and concerns, professional, knowledgeable, and were able to provide a competitive and reasonable estimate within a day or so. We accepted the estimate and work began as scheduled. Both the wood work and painting were of high quality affirming their high standards and work ethic. Before they left they assured that if there was anything we discovered that need additional treatment they would happily return. Nice couple, great work!
