I was there for a friends's birthday party bash so we had the whole basement to have fun in without the public there. Really awesome service from the bar staff there, nice little stage for the DJ, and booths along the side made it perfect for that event. If you go to the restaurant, maybe check if the basement is open for business as part of the establishment.

A well run restaurant should know that you never take away someone's meal without asking them if they are finished with it first. It was really disappointing as I could of finished it while there but really want to take it home so I didn't have to worry about making a meal or spending money on another meal.

She checked in on us just the right number of times, making the service feel attentive but not overbearing. The Alpine isn't wheelchair accessible. The main entrance is narrow, and there are a few steps to go up before reaching the seating area. A fun note is that they offer karaoke every Friday night from 9 PM to 2 am. Overall, The Alpine offers a great atmosphere for a casual night out, but some of the dishes could use a little refinement.

It seemed like she was in a hurry to finish her shift. I don't know if I'll ever go back to this place, as I'm eager to explore other restaurants in downtown Toronto.
