    Just sat down!

The best Old Fashioned in the city (made by Brian) and a burger that is so good I can't eat burgers anywhere else anymore... Overall the drinks are just fantastic and I haven't had food I didn't like. If you like the type of atmosphere they have (dark, stuff on the walls, old-timey feel) then you will like it here. If you like places that are bright and simple then this is not your atmosphere. And my water glass was always kept topped which is a must for me at a cocktail place. It helps that this place is local for a friend of mine so there is plenty of reason to visit frequently, but it is also now the place I recommend to anyone who is in Toronto for just a little while and looking for great cocktails.

Came here for the Prime Rib Burgers and Damn it was really good. The quality of the meat and the extra pickles were great. I wouldn't order the chips again as they were soooo salty. The atmosphere is pretty cute, I would definitely have a date there. It's really small and intimate. The service was also pretty good! I'm going back! Keep Eating, Angela

The Comrade is my favourite lounge in Leslieville! Great beer selections with 2 full pages, for sure you can find something you like! Cocktails from $10 were nicely crafted. My Elderflower Frizz ($10) was well balanced. Staffs were attentive and not being overbearing. I love the different seating options. The armchairs we lounge in feels homey and comfy...... Cheers!

Lovely cocktails, great vibes! The East end continues to impress me. You can't go wrong with any cocktails they have. The drinks were made fairly fast considering how much effort and detail each drink takes. The burger was also very delicious. It's topped with a pickle! Only issue is that we ordered something else on the menu that took way too long, and had to cancel it because we were on the way to a concert.

Their new bar menu is visually and gastronomically beautiful.

Yes, yes, yes! One of the best bars in the east end. The name threw me. No offense to mother Russia, but vodka bars ain't my scene, and I assumed that's what the Comrade would be. Nope. 20+ excellent beers, a page of classic and modern cocktails, and another page full of whiskey. They've got a new bar menu with tacos, ribs, fried chicken, and something called buttered kimchee. The space is cozy but not crowded and the prices are perfectly reasonable. The Strokes, The Cure, Queen, Metric - I had to ask. "Where are you getting this excellent music?" "Mostly from the 90s." Staff with wit, that pushes them over the top. 5-stars. But don't tell everyone, okay? Let's keep this place under the radar, leave the riffraff over at Jilly's. It's run by the same folks who run Goods and Provisions down the street, so expect tasty food and lots of Bourbon. Pro-tip: Get a table by the front on a nice night, and you can roll up the garage-style windows to watch Leslieville go by. Pro-tip: Their special in-house cocktails are surprisingly great. Last night it was the "Rosada," a dry hibiscus and pernod sock-rocker of a beverage. Pro-tip: Kalbi beef tacos. Keep it on the DL.

The ambience is lovely and the seating is exceptionally comfortable--perfect for winding down after a day in the city. Since it's in the hotel, billing is a breeze as you can just charge it to your room. While the food was decent, I did find it a bit pricey for the portion sizes/quality. The staff are very friendly, though the service was a little on the slower side. A solid, easy choice for hotel guests, but perhaps not a 'destination' restaurant on its own.

I've always enjoyed the elegant and modern decors of the cafe on the 1st floor, and Dia Restaurant was just as nice! We made a reservation on OpenTable, and was seating right away when we arrived. We had a cozy booth in the corner with a nice view of the restaurant. Our server was friendly and welcoming :) and the manager also came by to check in on us during our meal. Our server recommended the Mushroom Garganelli, and it was SO creamy good. My partner had the Caribbean Salmon, and she really enjoyed it too, especially that coconutty jasmine rice on the side! The fried pickles with the sweet and chili sauce was yummy too! Overall, a really great experience! I would definitely recommend this spot to my friends and family :)

Popped in for a beverage after having good times elsewhere and two staff killed that vibe in 10 minutes. In all the decades of my food and beverage experience, this was, by far the most arrogant, self entitled and out right rude service I have ever personally experienced. This is unfortunate for the owners as I heard good things, but after my saucy bartenders myopic, naive and rude insulting communication style, I could not help but feel unwanted and worse actually insulted. 0 score for customer experience. myellf and friends plus area neighbours will not be back unless the rude dude is not front of house staff anymore.

We arrived around 4:15 pm at which time it was fairly barren inside and a 2-piece band (singer/guitarist and pianist) were performing. As there were only 2 musicians and the lady was playing an acoustic guitar, the music wasn't too loud so my friends and I could converse comfortably. My friends and I ordered drinks only and I chose to have 1/2 pint of Spearhead's Hawaiian Style Pale Ale which is one of my favourite beers. It was only $5 (+ tax & tip) which was a good deal. It was quite enjoyable to pop into the venue for a drink and some live entertainment.
