Kala measured and fitted me with a pair of compression knee highs. These were expensive at $51 and I was relieved that they have sales. I had a really negative experience. The older lady in the front was very short and rude with me. The other young lady with a pixie cut and glasses was super nice and helpful but gave me the wrong pair . I picked a soft material compression sox in black and baige but ended up giving me a pink and blue in a thicker material. Of course I didn't realize until I got home. My leg hurt and and this location is out of my way. I'm very upset. read more

What a great concept! I wanted to find some compression socks for air travel that weren't super hard to get on. Sheniequa was the lady who assisted me and knew right away what to recommend. Not only that, she showed me the best way to put them on and wow, what a difference! I flew with them without issue and didn't feel like I pulled a muscle to get them on or off. They can't seem to communicate with either my surgeon or me to get the documentation necessary for Medicare eligible compression stockings. It appears that as long as the money is flowing in their direction, service is fine. If you have a problem outside of the strict frame set for returns, you are on your own. I was asking for an exchange (actually for a more expensive item) and the answer was a cold, definitive: "no returns after 30 days". No negotiating, no grace. When I sent an email to the parent company, they were no more helpful. So, as they say, you pay your dime and take your chances. First of all, visiting this store, for the first time, was a great experience: Kayla addressed all of my questions and concerns, there was plenty of comfortable seating, and there was no wait time. Secondly, the overall service, provided by Kayla, Sheila and their staff, whether in person or by phone, is always prompt and courteous. Inadequately staffed. Long wait times. Was there at 3:35 on Sunday. Doors were locked with some patrons inside. Four other customers were locked out and one just left. Hours sign on store said they were to close-at 4:pm on Sunday. Yelp had the the same store hours and Google had them closing at 4:30. Employees, I believe just 2 of them couldn't be bothered to let us in even though one lady came from a great distance and I was there only because an employee gave me the wrong item to begin with. Guess the owner doesn't believe in overtime or in adequately staffing or in hiring employees who understand the concept of customer service. read more

clean store with decent selection, but I called the phone number listed and asked if I needed an appointment. When I arrived, Erica J was not very friendly, and 4 other people arrived after me and were all seen and helped prior to me. I asked why I wasn't being helped and was told because I didn't have an appointment. I was told the number was probably routed to a call center in the Philippines to somebody who didn't have accurate information. I recently visited this store and had an extremely uncomfortable experience. From the moment I walked in, the employee at the front desk clearly ignored my presence and did not acknowledge my needs as a customer. One would think if a person enters your establishment the acknowledgement of a simple "Hello" would automatic (first impressions are everything). I literally waited 10 minutes before i gained the attention of the person at the front desk, and when I finally did, I was met with an attitude of annoyance and dealt with dismissively. It is clear that multi-tasking a nearly empty store was not something she can handle, which was evident by the constant ringing of the phone. It is also clear that customer service training is needed especially when dealing with customers in the health care industry. To make matters worse, I noticed that another customer, who did not look like me, was immediately handled with a smile and a likable demeanor. Before writing this review, I spoke to another person who said they experienced similar at the store, and went somewhere else suggesting I do the same. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, and I will not be returning to this establishment. read more

I did not know there were specialty stores for compression stockings, not to mention they could look so lovely and fashionable and otherwise Don't scream "grandma stockings." My doctor recommended it, and I arrived at the store, shocked to see the colorful selection. From the front desk, Ms.Erica (sorry for not remembering her full name) was welcoming and professional and advised me of my insurance eligibility, which was to my benefit. So that was a first start. I didn't even think insurance coverage could apply. I was taken to an inside room where Kayla measured my calf. Yes, she measured my calf to ensure the right size. Unlike OTC selection that often ends with the wrong size. Sadly, they didn't have the recommended stocking in stock but the very next day I received the message that it was on its way. Kayla was very professional and pleasant and showed me the type of sock I'd get and it felt very pleasant. So now I'm just waiting with anticipation. Overall, an excellent experience. Buying compression garment sleeves is an unpleasant yet necessary task. The compression store (first ave near 75th St.) makes the chore as good as it can be. The store is well staffed and clean. They tell you that your insurance company doesn't cover upper body compression garments which is NOT the truth. My Cigna insurance covers this fully but they add not a provider for CIGNA patients. So buyer beware....the ladies who measure you are very nice hence the two stars. read more

This store has, by far, the worst customer service (Sarah Obong and Lily Rivera) I have ever experienced. I have a sprained wrist and ordered a brace online. I paid for expedited shipping because I needed it fast. It arrived but it was the wrong item. I called and then had to spend an ENTIRE DAY on and off the phone with these people because they first refused to acknowledge they sent the wrong item, then they tried to tell me I had to pay 50% more for the replacement item because it was listed incorrectly on their website. Then they said I'd have to send the wrong item back, and once they received it, they'd send the correct item. Which would take weeks. Literally any other company would immediately acknowledge their mistake, and send the correct item via priority mail. That's just normal business practice. Would they maybe lose a bit of money on that? Yes, but they made a mistake and in business, mistakes are costly and not put onto the customer who's fault it was not. I had to fight tooth and nail just to get them to even accept that they even have to do ANYTHING about the fact that they sent me the completely wrong item. I am INJURED and paid for a medical device and am just waiting and waiting and they wouldn't (and still won't) send it to me. I spent hours on the phone with these people and they kept having to call me back with a new "offer". I finally lost my will to fight and told them to just send the correct item to me with normal shipping, because they refused to expedite it and I just wanted my brace and I was so tired of dealing with them. They agreed they would send it right away via standard shipping and I could return the incorrect item once I receive the new one. Well 6 days later, I still don't have my brace so I reach out. They tell me they've been waiting to receive the incorrect item back so they haven't even shipped my item!!! I cannot believe the incompetence of this company and flat out disregard of their customers. Do not shop here!!! You will certainly regret it. Update: it's been a month since I first ordered the brace and they are just now emailing me to tell me that if I take down my negative review of them, they will then send me the correct item that I originally ordered. lol wow. My wrist is now healed so I don't even need the brace any more. I ended up paying hundreds of dollars to go to the doctor and get a brace from them. I wonder how many of their positive reviews have been bought. read more
