Everyone says this place is expensive, but let me give you a common example of their price gouging. $39 for a hand lotion that retails for $12. Not joking. If you're going to rip people off AND be rude on top of it, you will continue to lose customers, like you permanently lost me after my visit last week. Cashiers are indifferent and owners and management are flippant, crass and obviously don't care about customers. Avoid this cramped, overpriced pharmacy with rude management. read more

I checked on it after a few days to see if it was shipped and when to expect it and found out it was canceled without any reason or notification. I've been an Eisler customer for at least 6 years and have spent thousands of dollars annually with them. They are nasty, rude and uncaring and take no responsibility for their actions. They failed to deliver my prescription and did not feel the need to let me know. They could care less about their online customers. They are condescending and rude. I had to get a full refund from my bank because I was highly allergic to the products they sent. I'd specifically chosen those items because the online descriptions and the ingredients lists did not have my allergens mentioned. I just checked my credit card and saw a charge of almost $200 and I hadn't been in the store in months. I called and they said an employee made a mistake and charged my card instead of someone with a similar name. If I hadn't called they admitted they would never have caught the mistake. I buy my Caswell-Massey shave soap here. The energy of the place is decidedly NYC: lotsa banter and lotsa chaos I'm surprised to see the accusation of "not caring." I always am given room to browse but given help promptly when needed. Eisler is more expensive than most drugstores. They have treated me very rudely and with disrespect. I have many medications ordered monthly and when I asked them for a statement with the names of the medications and a total amount. They pretended that they didn't understand me. They protested over and over again and said they gave me the small little print outs for each medication . Those little pieces of paper the size of post-its is not satisfactory. If I have 6-8 prescriptions per month over a 12 month period, that means I will have to deal with approximately 96 small little post-its.I repeatedly requested a statement from them, finally I was promised such a statement. But I have now been waiting three weeks and no statement. They are rude and mysogonistic. Take your business elsewhere. A customer does not need to be insulted. read more

On Dec 15 2017 I ordered 5 Crabtree and Evelyn gift sets of 3 soaps each for my 95 year old Mom for Christmas. It is her favorite soap. I received an email the same day from Eisler Chemist confirming my order, and advising me I would be updated on the status. Christmas came, and no soap for Mom. This morning when I called Eisler Chemist I was advised they were out of stock, and usually would have sent an email informing me of such, but apparently the email was accidentally sent to the wrong place. I do not recommend using this company. Even tho everyone is busy during the holidays, I would expect more care to be given to orders. Having MS, online ordering can be tougher for me. I see I'd be better off not doing it again. read more

I love this place. I wish it were closer to where I lived. All of the staff members are so helpful and friendly. I used to see a doctor around the corner from them and needed a prescription filled once per month. They remembered my name and would greet me every time. Wonderful customer service. One time, they were out of my prescription so they mailed me the pills (it was a large box) to Brooklyn at no extra charge. I really wish I lived closer! read more
