Did not aggressively treat my cat's illness-causing her to go into great distress and had to be put down. Not RECOMMENDED......

As a Health Counselor for humans, I was excited to find a place and a person who respects animals…read morein the same fashion. I have been to so many vets that treat my pets like a text book condition verses and animal who deserves specific attention. Dr. A uses chinese medicine, nutritional therapy as well as other integrative techniques that treat your whole pet. Dr. A took the the time to explain his theories and made us and our dog feel comfortable. This is the kind of care I would want for myself and my children and I am thankful that I have finally found a place where I can get this level of care for my pet. If you are the kind of person who pops a pill for every ailment and doesn't realize that food can be medicine, this may be slightly out of your comfort zone but if you are open to a holistic treatment of your pet, this is the place to go!

Save yourself the heartache and frustration. One of our dogs is diabetic and has IBD. We went to…read moreDr. Peter Antosiewicz for nutritional/alternative therapy consultation to complement his western medicine regiment. The first meeting was great and we held high hopes, ready to transfer all our dogs to him. Once we left, it became a nightmare. We brought a second dog in for review, blood work was taken and they never called us with the results. We called, emailed, faxed and were told they would leave a message for the Doctor. We received no response. Finally, in frustration, we asked what we have to do to get an answer. They said to just schedule a time for the phone call. We did and they ended up billing us for $80. They never said the follow up phone call would come at a cost. We later needed to adjust the diet of the first dog and had to make an appointment for a phone consultation. We couldn't get past the front desk until we gave a credit card. Dr. A hadn't reviewed the files before getting on the phone so we spent a large portion of the time waiting as he read the records. At the conclusion of the consultation, Dr. A promised to call or email us with a couple of suggested dietary supplements. Several days passed with no contact. I called, the desk said they would leave a message and the doctor would call back; nothing. I called again and the desk said to fax the questions and they would give them to the doctor. I did that, another week passed; nothing. The office called, left a voice message asking how the dogs were doing. I called back, tried to get the tech who called on the phone, she couldn't speak and they told me to email the questions again, this time they assured me the doctor would respond. I emailed again; again no response. It was now more than a month past the phone consultation with absolutely no communication from the office. I decided to drive to the office to get the answer sto the 2 simple questions: what are the supplement suggestions for the one dog and what are the results of the blood test of the other? The front desk asked me to sit and wait for a few minutes. A tech came out and said the doctor was busy and couldn't see me. I told her that I just wanted the answers to those two questions. She became rude and told me I had to make an appointment. I told her that these were just follow-up questions we had been trying to get answered for months; Dr. A never got back to us with the answers; there was no need for another examination. She said they would not answer the questions without another appointment. She wouldn't listen to any plea and I left still without the information the doctor promised more than a month earlier. Squibnocket Animal Center and Valley Veterinary Hospital (its sister location) are nightmares. They will promise the world but, in the end, care nothing for you or your animal. I hope this saves another pet owner from the pain and frustration it has caused us.

Soooo sooo soo awful! Don't ever bring your babies there ever!!!!!!!! The front desk is soo rude and doesn't even look at you or even say hello to the animal then the vet tech Pricilla was the worst!!! Just a miserable grumpy angry women! Not a smile if you paid her I bring my cat she grabs him so hard with these huge gloves and towel doesn't say hello or anything! The vet was just as bad! Rude unfriendly uncaring just horrific! I have had animals for my whole life! I grew up with a little farm we had horses cats dogs etc so I know animals very well and I have been to many vets in my lifetime! This was the worst experience of my life! I would never bring my baby to that awful place ever again! The vet didn't even touch my cat other than jab him with the shot she said she couldn't listen to his heart or look at anything? Meanwhile they have done things yearly for ten years no problem! Anyway do not ever go waste your animals time and stress to not be showed any love or care or kindness! I will tell everyone I know and all the people I sent there to never go again! I don't want anyone else's babies to go through that treatment ever again! You guys need to be shut down! Idk anyone who would want to bring their babies to a place so full of anger and just unhappy miserable people! Who don't seem to care about the animals or the people who are bringing their babies there! You need a whole new staff and or retraining and some happy pills or therapy for them! Seriously it was that bad! Get it together!

We started going here in 2020, and initially had a good experience with both our dogs…read more This year has been a disaster though. When I brought in my dogs for their vaccinations, they completely missed the date of one of my dogs rabies vaccination and he ended up being unvaccinated for months. When I called them about this, the person who answered the phone didn't apologize and was very flippant about it. I had to advocate for an apology, and it was only at that point that they offered to comp the cost of the appointment. Then this month, one of my dog's was sick, and I had to wait three days for an appointment b/c they had only had one vet on staff. We finally got bloodwork done and I was told we'd hear back from the doctor the next day. I called at 4pm the next day as I hadn't heard anything (mind you, my dog still is sick), and they weren't able to tell me anything. I then had to call back again at 11am the following day, and a diagnosis of diabetes was delivered over the phone by a receptionist - with no empathy, no explanation, no walking me through a care plan, or what to expect, etc. They then told me I had to go to ANOTHER vet down the road to learn how to administer insulin. It was horrendous, and to this day, no one has called to follow up to see how he's even doing or what the status is. All that to say, we're now happy customers down the road at Noah's Ark Animal Hospital. They are kind, professional, knowledgeable, caring, and generous. I recommend them as an alternative to this place.

Her wisdom and forethought went above and beyond my expectations, and believe me, I had rehearsed this terrible day many times in my head. My call was promptly returned, a convenient time scheduled, and the process discussed. During this time of social distancing, some special accommodations needed to be made, but they in no way interfered with the love my dog received that day. Dr Dale played music made for dogs ears only and was extremely comforting to me as well. She made a clay print of my dogs paw, which I will cherish forever. The support Dr Dale gave that day extends far beyond as she checked in on me and provided access to support groups. When I picked up my dogs remains, they where surrounded by meditation gardens and considering the circumstances (pandemic restrictions) I couldn't have asked for anything more comforting and reassuring that my dog was truly loved and that I had made the right decision. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Kathy Bremer at XTerra Dalmatians
