Dr. Katz is a hand-wringer and says "I don't know why..." all the time. They charge you for any test they can think of. My cat was forgotten in the back room when they were supposed to be taking blood. They don't call in prescriptions and they won't re-fill unless you go in and take more tests for more money. If you love your cat don't bring him here. Dr. Katz notified me via phone that my cat had kidney disease, she referred me to a website for more information. I was shocked that instead of asking me to come in to review the blood work and discuss the disease I was referred to a website. I read the information on the website and found it was outdated, and many links didn't work. I wanted a second opinion and called the office, spoke to Shannon and requested Mittens medical records, blood work, x-rays, etc. she stated Dr. Katz was not in and that she needed approval from Dr. Katz before she can give me the records. They never provided me the information. I was able to pull together all the bills of what was performed and changed to another Vet. The best decision I made for my baby! read more

My cat and I were made to feel very uncomfortable today at the vet. I could tell the tech was angry that I had the nerve to want to escape this uncomfortable situation the office put me in. I suppose I should have just shut up and accept the treatment they gave my cat and I AND trust them w my cat to go under general anesthesia. The patience was lacking. I am extremely happy I found this vet. The facilities are clean - and things just make sense. They use an app so you can schedule your own appointments etc. - it's actually really easy to use. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They have feliway all over the place which is so helpful (a plug in that signals to cats they are safe, helps keep them calm). They have nice (maybe heated?) mats on the exam tables that seem so clean and definitely are better than a cold metal surface. We've seen Dr. Prescia and she had insights other vets didn't. I am not sure why! I believe she's very good at her job and thorough. We're thrilled about it- I wish I found her sooner! Visits seem way less stressful than other places we've been. We cannot thank her enough - and her wonderful staff - for providing only the best of care for one of our stray "elders" (Two Boots the Tuxedo). He came down with a random abcess on the side of his face (no idea how or why - all of my cats are indoors), had to have a few tubes put in to drain it, antibiotic shot and several other treatments. We were referred to Dr. Katz by a friend and I am SO glad we were! Dr. Katz is knowledgeable, and she is so good with the patients and their "cat parents". I have called her personal cell when the vet was closed and she was so helpful on answering my questions. I have always been able to get an appointment ASAP if needed, and the pricing is completely fair- not outrageous like some clinics and walk ins. I am always greeted with a smile and great advice. Being brand new to the area, choosing a vet was daunting. After a thorough search, and meeting with 2 other vets near Norwalk/Wilton, I chose Dr. Katz to clean my Cat Jimmy's Teeth and possibly to do an extraction. Turns out Jimmy needed two extractions including his chipped Canine tooth. Shockingly he already seems much happier only 2 days after the surgery. The doctor - I am careful about medical care. Dr. Katz is a graduate of The University of Pennsylvania Vet School. For those that don't know, this is the arguably the best Vet school on the east coast and one of the best in the world. Imagine seeing an MD who went to Harvard, that's Dr. Katz. The clinic - a small Cat only clinic where all the latest updated equipment, Digital Dental X-rays, and surgical center. I even checked into a specialist dental surgeon at one point, and as it turned out Dr. Katz was the better choice. Today was my first time bringing Finny to Dr. Katz and her team. Emilee managed to get us in last minute. I am so impressed. The visit was seamless. Everyone was so nice snd caring. Geri was vaccinating animals at a VIP Petcare clinic in Danbury, CT. She injected my cats between the shoulder blades which is a total, scientifically proven mistake. It was well established in the 1990s that cats were getting sarcomas and dying when injected between the shoulder blades. Look it up on Google. Something very wrong with Geri to think that this way of vaccinating cats is still accepted by veterinarians. It is not. How many cats have died because Geri didn't follow precaution and didn't stay up to date on the latest scientific and medical research on this subject? read more

Delia is naturally wary of anyone who isn't me, and while she's never going to love going to the vet's office, she always behaves decently for Dr. Katz, who has such a way with Our Feline Overlords. I took in a stray on a Sunday and Dr. Katz squeezed me in for an appt. at 12:30 Monday. Office is very well cared for, I love that she specializes in cats, she has a very calm nature and is definitely in the right career. She loved on my cat for awhile before getting to work which was sweet. We had to have a whole work up done and I was mentally preparing to be taken advantage of by a vet but the final bill was very honest and fair. Dr. Katz is great with my cat. Sweetest cat but he's so mean to vets and she and her staff know how to work with him. She cares just as much about your cat's wellbeing as you do. I also appreciate that all the work is done in the exam room with you and she takes the time to explain the problem and options for how to proceed. Despite the nice furnishings and atmosphere, the service by dr. Katz was well below par. Our cat was mis diagnosed on a simple matter, charging us for things we didnt need, when a second opinion revealed it to be a much simpler diagnosis and procedure. Her knowledge about cats did not seem to be very thorough, which is troubling when that is what she specializes in. Her rapport with our cat was excellent, but I would never visit her again or reccomend her to anyone else. read more

Dr. Katz was very attentive to my cat, and made sure that she was as comfortable as possible.
