    Soccer Field #1

Great soccer complex. There's bathrooms and a snack bar. Parking gets complicated when there are games so make sure you get here way ahead of your game. Lots of green for little ones to run around and easy to find location from 121.

Well maintained fields, we've never had an issue at this location. There are facilities near the concession stand and a playground which is located near field 3. These are soccer and football fields, and nearby are softball/baseball fields. I haven't had the opportunity to go at night but there are lights for each field. This is located right across the street from The Colony High School.

This is the best place to be morning, noon or night. Love jogging on the jogging trail hearing the cheers of soccer, baseball, lacrosse, softball and football teams as they play. Love watching the kids play on the playground and soaking up the sun or moonlight for a great workout. Only wish would be people pick up their dog's poop. So awful especially in the summer heat. The wind picks of that smell and knocks you out. The good definitely outweighs the bad.

The actual name is Five Star Sports Complex because it's a multi-sport facility. Actually it's a multi-use facility (site of American Heroes festival and other city sponsored events). The fields (football, baseball, soccer) are all well maintained for tournament play and must be reserved through the Parks Dept. Amenities include: shaded seating areas, Veterans Memorial, restrooms and a nice paved trail that wraps around the entire facility. Everything is well lit at night and parking is easy.

Now, without further…read moreado, onto the review: I absolutely love these smaller, charming ballparks, and Riders Field was no exception. Home of the Frisco RoughRiders, this place was clean, easy to navigate, and genuinely fun from start to finish. Parking was a breeze, entry into the ballpark was quick and painless, and there were plenty of giveaways and activities happening throughout the evening. Sadly, I did not get my big Jumbotron moment this time around (heartbreaking, honestly) but I still had a great time with friends old and new walking around the ballpark before the game and during innings taking in the atmosphere, even if we didn't get to go into the lazy river! The game was, a baseball game - "Yay, Baseball!" The RoughRiders ended up winning which didn't hurt the experience :) One thing I was slightly confused by was the timing of the Friday night post-game fireworks. I assumed they'd begin shortly after the final out but there was a long delay while families and attendees were allowed onto the field. By the time the fireworks finally started, we had already started heading out and only caught a few bursts from the parking lot. Not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind if fireworks are a big part of your evening plans. Also worth mentioning: the gift shop had some fantastic merchandise, especially shirts featuring my favorite president. Prices were definitely steep though - but wow I was tempted! I believe one of my friends was persuaded to make a purchase, even if it was after the fact. All in all, Riders Field delivered exactly the kind of fun, relaxed baseball experience I remembered and was hoping for. Might I dare say, minor league baseball could be one of life's underrated joys ;)

First class experience here, delivered by some great people who work here. Beautiful ballpark that…read moreis well- designed for great seats with great views from everywhere in the park. My only complaint is that in Texas it gets hot watching the game in the sun, but hey, that's kind of baseball, right?! Review #2127
