I ambled up to the counter and ordered a mocha, hoping the chocolate would mask the undoubtedly bitter espresso... Who expects to get a perfect pull of crema on their espresso in a small town?? Not I--past experience has me expecting very little from rural baristas. When Little T walked around the counter to hand deliver my coffee I was delighted and impressed. What a cute couple! I love supporting small local businesses for interactions like this. But when I walked outside and took a sip I damn near dropped my coffee!
