I ordered a simple lunch of the Newfoundland split pea soup and a bologna sandwich. I really like split pea soup and their version was one of the best that I've had. It was chocked full of seasoning pork, carrots and as a bonus, a big dumpling was located in the middle of the bowl. The bologna sandwich took me back to my childhood days, as not many places these days offer bologna as an option. The bologna itself had a very good flavor and the sandwich was fixed very much like a BLT, with lettuce, tomato and mayo. Based on my experience here, one should at least give this place a try and if I happen to be back in the gander area again, I certainly will be back.

The home fries were not as expected, as they seemed to be from-frozen french fries that came with an herbal seasoning. But hey, it worked, and they were good enough for my wife to steal a bunch of them!
