Roberto rules my shoe world! The "before" picture of my 12 year old beloved cowboy boots doesn't do justice to the over worn state, the sole was literally coming apart at the seams. They were worn in and perfect, except y'know m, they looked like trash. They are the most comfortable shoes that I own that also used to look good enough for work etc. I am beyond thrilled. They look brand new. Italian leather souls, still super comfy but ready to be paired with a grey trouser or a pair of jeans for dinner. My wife brought her Dior shoes for a sole replacement. We previously came here over 20 years ago. We remembered the work done here was good and it was a woman running the business back then. We moved so we tried a couple of other places that were closer and the work was not as good as the work we received from this little shop. This time, Roberto greeted her with a friendly smile. My wife asked if this was the same owners from the time she came previously and it was. Roberto explained that his wife was the person she met before. The sole on the front and heel of her shoes needed replacement. Roberto quoted a week. We brought it in Thursday. He finished on Saturday, gave us a call saying it was done and allowed us to pickup earlier than quoted. The work was good as before. The soles were replaced with high quality German replacement soles. The work was tight and neat. I definitely feel his work was better than the 2 places I tried recently. I plan on continuing my repairs with Roberto. His work will keep me coming back. read more

This place is great. Near my house. Needed some heels repairs. One time needed new back tips. Another time needed scratch removed and coloring. Last time needed side scuff repair, really deep scratch. Waiting time goes from 1-3 days. Which was fine with me as I have plenty of other shoes to wear. The couple there is really sweet. Very to the point. Only problem is the hours. They don't open early enough for me to go before work. And they close early and I'm not off work yet or off work but they'll close if I'm on the way!!! And they don't open on the weekends. Not that I recall. Because 3 weeks ago on a Saturday I walked passed going to Walgreens they were closed. read more

I took my vintage Louis Vuitton bag here to get the strap fixed. I was given a week for pick up, came back and he didn't start it due to a busy-ness so he told me to come back in a few days. When it was time for pick up, I was very impressed. He did an amazing job repairing the strap on my purse, see photos. He matched the original straps and it almost looks identical. Occasionally get my work boots resoled and found this place as I was driving by, they did a great job and gave me advice on keeping my boots looking good. Pricing was fair and boots were ready at the time they had told me. Had a great experience, chatting with the owner and his wife, I learned that they've been working on that same corner for 31+ years and immigrated to the US from South America. I am amazed this place has such low ratings. I have been going there for a good 10yrs and NEVER had 1 issue with them. I have had boots repaired, heels re-tapped, shoes re-soled, totally re-worked toes on heels that I thought were ruined, emergency jobs done in 5-10min while I waited....They have done it all for me! This place is a small little shop right next to Walgreens. I recently brought 2 pairs of shoes here to get repaired. I had a pair of Calvin Klein boots that needed the sole reglued because it was starting to separate from the upper. The friendly man at the counter quoted me a price per shoe. For the shoe where the sole was splitting more, it was $5. For the matching shoe with less splitting, it was $2.50. I also had a pair of cheap heels where I'd worn the shoes down all the way to the nail on the heel. The heel tips were completely gone. The cost to add rubber tips onto the heels was $10. Turnaround took 2 days. I called beforehand to see if my shoes were ready and the woman I talked to on the phone wasn't all that friendly, but I think that might have been because of the language barrier because she was okay when I went into the shop. The quality of the craftsmanship is just okay. The heel tips look cheap and I can see some of the dried glue spilling out where they were reglued. But my shoes are now wearable again so it's fine. I'd recommend them for simple repairs but I wouldn't bring in my designer shoes here. They close at 6:00 and it's cash only. read more

The hubby gets his boots shined here from time to time and he's always happy with their service, but then again, he's very easy to please. The only way he would complain if his shoes came back with taffy, gum and glue on them, otherwise no complaints from him( I wish everything in life were that simple). I've been coming here for around 3 years. The service has always been friendly/good (then again, I know what it's like to work in the service industry and always treat people as I'd like to be treated), never had any communication problems as an English speaker, and the shoes they have fixed for me have always lasted. Maybe it is not the place to go for super-high end shoe repair but I've gotten vintage shoes re-glued (and they did not fall apart as at other places I've gone to), new heels and rubber soles put on shoes (the last time, the soles actually outlasted the shoes themselves), as well as leather straps repaired, and I'm always happy with their work. read more

Took a pair of boots and a leather bag in for repair. Had new heel pads put on for $8 and the bag strap replaced onto the bag for $5. Prices are reasonable. They are pretty disorganized with where they put your stuff. So I had a mild heart attack when they couldn't find my bag at first. Their turnaround time is pretty good. But again, sometimes they get backed up so they fix your item when you go pick it up. If it's convenient for you to go here, then it's fine. Otherwise, nothing special. read more

I have been taking my stilettos, boots, and flats to this cobbler since 2009, and they always have done a fantastic job on every repair I have requested. I have a ton of shoes, so I bring an average of 3 pairs of shoes a month to have retapped or repaired. They have even been able to fix other leather items of mine such as purses, and I've always received quality work. Their prices are great for the craftsmanship and they turn around in less that 24 hours or even while I wait. I've never had any issues with them... Awesome! read more

I have been using this place for years. I don't go regularly, but as I grew up in the neighborhood I've used them several times. That being said, I am now of the mind I will never use this place again. In the past they've lost my shoes but eventually found them. They have done an excellent job on altering some sandals that were too long. So my experiences with them varied, sometimes good, sometimes not so much. I am a designer and used to take my hand made hand bags to them to join straps to the bag with rivets. They would charge me $5/bag and occassionally not charge me at all (I was going in pretty regularly at the time). I went today bringing in several bags for riveting. First the woman looked at me as if I were crazy. I told her they had done it for me in the past (admittedly it was about 3 years ago), but still it should have not been that difficult to ascertain what I needed. Anyway, she asks her husband about it and he tells her $16 a bag. That's $4 a rivet!!! Crazy. I mentioned they used to charge me $5 and she couldn't have cared less. Needless to say I took my bags and left. The sad thing is I am adamant about using local resources. I am wiling to pay a bit more to local merchants but don't take advantage. They are not doing the other local merchants in the area any favors by being rude and driving off local custom. read more

My experience: I needed the sole of one of my dance shoes re-glued, "how much", I ask, shoeman ponders a while and then proceeds to rip the sole of my shoe all the way to the heel-need I say more!...it was detached about an inch and a half from the toe and I was still able to practice in them before he took liberties. First of all, there was no price negotiated before he ripped the sole off, second, I can't stand when it feels like someone is making up a price as they go along, and third, he took no responsibility for his actions. Brought my shoes in about an hour after I spoke with a female she charged me eight dollars when I brought it to her attention that she quoted me a price of seven dollars A guy that works there said we normally charge $10. I had taken a stiletto here before and it took only a day. This time my snowboarding boots needed some repair and since I needed it the next morning I asked if it can be done ASAP. Heels re-tapped, great job. Two pair where the sole was splitting from the shoe (Bornes & Merrells that I loved.) He fixed em right up. I'll get another year's worth of wear out of them for sure. if i can put zero in my rating i would do it, bad experienced for me, bad business, bad owner and bad attitude. i went there monday morning to drop off my wife's boots to be repair. simple half inch heel came off and they asked me for $15. i think it was too much but i just don't really care about the price because its my wife's favorite boots.they told me that they're busy and it's probably finish by friday noon, regardless they will call me if its not done yet. i went back there friday afternoon and thinking the shoes are already done. first they can't find the shoes, buried with the others and realized it wasn't done yet. i was really upset because i wasted my time, gas and ruined my day for this people. it's unprofessional, they laughed when i told them that i wasted my gas going to their shop and why they didn't call me.i took the shoes unrepair and left...i went to brisbane hardware and bought me some shoe goo and free sole and cost me only under ten bucks. please don't bother to go to this shop. the place is unorganized and customer unfriendly. read more
