Waited more than an hour for 1(one) pizza. Seriously displeased with the owner. After waiting for the hour we asked how long it would be till we received our pizza, or did we need to cancel the order and leave, due to needing to be somewhere. Owner was in the kitchen and was rude and said "I want to leave too." Unacceptable on many levels. Will NEVER return to this establishment, owner cares MORE ABOUT TAKE OUT ORDERS THAN THE PEOPLE IN THIER RESTAURANT. Keep in that in mind if you choose to come here. Ambiance is dark and a bit moody. Older booths, older chairs. The wait staff was NOT informed to tell the people sitting about the vast multitude of take out orders that the owner prioritized. Very frustrated. Very disappointed. read more

Such a fantastic experience! Our first visit to the Clover bar we heard the tales, but wanted to try it out for ourselves. We sat at the bar and were warmly greeted. The interior is comfortable and just what you expect from us long-standing restaurant. To start we got a full antipasto salad and then a sausage and mushroom to split. The anti-pasta salad was amazing. Heaped high with cheese and toppings. The lettuce was crisp and he was kind enough to give us both regular Italian and creamy Italian for our taste preferences. The pizza followed shortly after and was utter perfection. Crispy, thin crust well flavored sausage and just the right amount of toppings. It may have been our first visit to Clover bar, but it definitely will not be our last. read more

Honestly, I remember this place being a lot better than it was tonight. The pizza was decent at best. Nothing to write home about. Our server was very nice, but a problem that I had, was with our party of 8, they brought out one person's food 10 minutes before the rest of it. I think it is in a restaurant's best interest to serve all food at the same time. Decent food, but an overall, slightly awkward experience. read more

The Clover Bar - Jalapeno/bacon pizza - Pizza Near Me - Grand Haven, Michigan

Great take-out for pizza. The deluxe with fresh mushrooms is the best. We love the cheesy breadsticks too.

Absolutely love their pizza. It's consistently delicious: great sauce, generous toppings, and just the right amount of crust. We've also brought bigger sized groups and the service has always been really good, as well. read more

Been going here my entire life. Their pizza is awesome. We also love the antipasto salad. Great place for big groups and families.

Always great pizza and service! I love deluxe plus ham & onion, they have a full bar. There is an arcade area to keep the kids busy, spacious dining area. read more

Pizza is to die for. Thin crust, crisp and delicious! Love to order their pizza. Quick and easy

This growing up was always my second favorite ‍ Sorry. But the pizza is REALLY good. I would give anything for a place like this down here in FL. All the food at Clover is amazing. The service is always quick and friendly with a family friends vibe. Great place read more

The pizza was really bad. They must have changed their recipe. No flavor and crust was spongy except for the outside pieces.

SUMMARY: I probably won't be back, but it was fine for lunch. The service here was fine. Quick, attentive, very casual. The food was sort of...eh. The breadsticks were fine, just breadsticks with an icing poured into the top. The pizza was also...fine. Without the parmesan and pepper flakes, it would have been quite bland. The best part is the crust stayed crunchy/crispy, which is better than we experienced when we tried Fricano's. But really, it was a disappointing pizza. The prices really aren't justified here. They're clearly not investing in the building itself -- it still has it's original "character" from whenever it was built -- and the food doesn't make me feel good about spending over 19 bucks after tax on the pizza. Compare this to a place like Buddy's, and you'll realize that those prices could get you something worthwhile. Other reviewers say the pizza used to be better. I think it would have to have been for this place to stay in business for so long and to have any sort of following at all. I wouldn't recommend this place or bring someone from out of town. That said, the service was good, and the food was at least sufficient to get stuffed before heading to the beach. read more

Have both eaten in and did takeout. Gf pizza, meat pizza and fish and chips . All good. Fast. Tasty good portions. Will go there again.

Very average pizza that used to be the best in town. I have great memories coming to Clover Bar with my grandparents and spending all my time playing in the arcade while we waited for our pizza. Now the prices have become crazy expensive and the pizza doesn't even seem remotely the same. Even the arcade costs a lot more. There are plenty better options in town for pizza but Clover Bar will always hold many memories growing up. read more

The Clover Bar - a pizza in a box - Pizza Near Me - Grand Haven, Michigan

We had been on a quest for a very late lunch. We had been to 3 other places that were closed for one reason or another. We decided on Clover Bar because I'd never been and my Mr had fond memories of it from years before. I/we were not disappointed. We basically cut the ribbon, 2 of the first patrons in the door for the day. We grabbed 2 seats at the bar so we could catch the second half of the Army Navy game. The gent tending bar was friendly and efficient. We ordered a medium Clover Deluxe (sausage, pepperoni, green pepper and mushroom). It was SO good! The crust was thin and crispy and had flavor l on its own, even without toppings. Not sure when we will be back - but we will definitely be back! read more

Very good pizza, plenty of toppings on pizza. Our service was good. Crust was a bit too thin for the amount of toppings, and not sure how this pizza is cut, but it was the work of a third grader. Was not square cut, which did not affect the taste at all. However a bit hard to handle. Not a hand held pizza, need a fork and knife! Would definitely come back! read more

To be clear, anyone who has left this place anything other than a five star review just did not know what they were getting into. This is an amazing local pizza joint, that serves absolutely delicious food. You absolutely will wait at least 30 minutes (if not 45 minutes) for your pizza, particularly when they are busy, but it is worth every moment when you sit back, enjoy your drink, and talk with the locals. Belly up at the bar, make friends with TJ, and enjoy the drinks. Your food will get here eventually and will have absolutely be worth it. read more

Don't go with a group and expect to eat at the same time. We went there with three other couples. We finally left and went to Fricano's as our friends were almost done eating and we were still waiting for our pizza. read more

Come on people, show The Clover Bar some love! I've been going here with my family since I was little, and let me just say now I'm at the age where I have more than a few grey hairs! The pizza here is the best!! Even better with Parmesan and red pepper flakes on it! We will drive 2 hours on a Saturday to have Clover Bar! Please enjoy this great local business. Our family has made many fond memories here! read more

First stop when back in town is Clover Bar pizza! It never disappoints! Love the thinner and crispy crust. Their sausage is so well seasoned. The deluxe with olives added is my personal favorite. Will be back before leaving town! read more

My family and I have been enjoying Clover Bar for over 40 years.Everything we love is still delicious. We usually get the large deluxe pizza and an antiI pasta salad. We always get the large so we can take it home. It takes us 2 hours to get here, but it's worth the drive. We haven't lived in Grandhaven for 32 years but we still think it's the best. p.s. the Musials are great! your friends,Buck and Bevy. read more

I used to love this place growing up, and now I am starting to realize why. The service is incredibly slow which gives kids much more time in the little arcade area. The last time we were there we ordered a pizza and asked for it to be over cooked (due to past experiences) and it came out extremely under cooked. So we asked them to cook it longer. A hour later our pizza finally came back out... read more

Forget one of Grand Havens best... this is one of Western Michigan's best pizzerias. The staff, though frequently slow, is always pleasant. Even in their off hours/season, we've sat 10 minutes + for a waiter/waitress to come take our order. They might not have the best lighting and, it probably isn't the cleanest restaurant in Grand Haven. But, it's a bar and none of that matters once we get our Pizza... we've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed with the quality of our food. Great thin(ish) crust, tavern styled pizza, cut into squares, that never ceases to be delicious. If you're planning on dining in then I'd give it a 4/5 because... you'll probably wait a while. If you're taking it to go/delivery then it's a solid 5/5. This would be an easy 5/5 if they could over come their inconvenience of slow service. Regardless, this is a place we happily drive out to from GR -- fantastic pizza! read more

WOW. worst service I think I have ever had! We got to the restaurant and sat at the bar till our table was ready, bartender took almost 10 minutes just to make eye contact... once we got our table, getting a refill on our water or tea was a chore just to get the waitres' attention. We ordered our pizza and it's almost an hour and no pizza still??? This place needs to be on bar rescue. With this service I'm amazed people come here..... read more

Our first time at the original Clover bar. We read and heard great things about their pizza. We ordered a 10" meat lovers pizza and a meatball sub. We both split the meals and I loved the sub. The pizza was great as well. I was confused as to if we should seat ourself or wait to be seated. I had to hunt down a waitress to ask. It did take a while for the waitress to discover she had people in her section. But once she came over, she was grea read more

I was referred here by a friend from work that also steered me to Mr. Scribs, which was a solid choice. I found the pizza here to be average and to slightly above average, but nothing more. I found the antipasto to be substandard and flavorless. Maybe I'm ruined and spoiled from growing up in the Detroit area with Loui's and Buddy's at my service, but I can't see ever going here again. For thin crust pizza fans, I think Fricano's, Mr. Scribbs and the Glenside Pub in Muskegon are better choices. read more

If pizza is what you are after then this is your place. Menu is rather limited. Not a real family friendly restaurant-leave your kids at home or prepare for a long wait. Just beware...the service is horrible. We waited over an hour and pizza was still not ready. I recommend calling order in ahead and picking up and taking home. Rather pricy too. Not sure if the horrible service is the staff or poor management. I'd rate 0 stars for service but 4 stars for thin crust pizza. read more

Pizza and anti pasta salad are both great, beer selection is pretty good, but the "game area" really irritates me. Games are over priced and most are scamming "claw machines" that do nothing but waste money. It would be a great if you could give your kid $5 and have them be entertained for a little bit, but instead the money is gone in a few minutes. read more

Came here for dinner last night and although I HATE the physical space/building i.e. not a single window, very dark inside, furniture although decent shape is from the 70's at best. But I digress, the pizza was actually very good and timely. Having said that it was very slow there and did take a while so I could see if it's busy how it could take quite a while but didn't happen to us. Service was fine and quality of pizza is maybe 7/8 out of 10. Would for sure go back but to be honest if it was busy I wouldn't stay, only because of so many comments I've read about timing. It did take a while to get ours and they were the small pizzas so I'd be frustrated if we had to wait longer. read more

I went on-line, ordered my pizza via telephone. Told to pick up in 45 minutes. When I went to pick it up, it was ready....but the price was higher than the website. When I explained the website price vs. the price I'm being charged, I was told: "that website hasn't been updated in over a year" No apologese, no price break. Reluctantly paid and got the hell out. I wish I would have just walked out and left them with the overpriced pizza. Bottom line: I have never been back, nor will I be. read more

SECOND poor review of this place. I thought we'd try one more time. We walked into an otherwise empty bar area, aside from a bunch of kids who were running all around. I asked the waitress if we should seat ourselves. Without looking up from her phone, she nodded her head and gestured toward the dining area. We waited for at least 15 minutes before she came to ask us if we wanted WATER. Annnnnnnnnd, we left. That's it, Clover Bar. I'm not going to try again now. read more

Low carb pizza! If you're on a low carb diet you need to come here. Only 8 grams net carbs in the entire 12" crust. And tasty!

Highly recommended - these pies are Delicious!!! There are many good pizzas out there, this pizza is on the great side. Though, I find the medium size to be the best choice no mater how many people are chowing on it. Just order multiple pies of medium size. read more

For decades we have been going to Clover Bar for pizza. The consistency is time and again, the same high level. I can attest that they use quality ingredients and toppings because the taste is superior to other establishments. A couple pizza places are close to the quality but this is the best if the best. We like to go out to eat, so we've tried many. read more
