He said he's descended from Spanish and Italian, so his last name is Tigere, means Tiger. He's really friendly and chatty about the over 100 countries he's been to, the culture and the conversation spans to rocks of all forms including dinosaurs poops and crocodile teeth. It was very interesting and time flies talking to him. The rocks in the store prices 30,40,50+ bucks but there's no pressure from buying. The store covers old comics to rocks of all forms to small cultural artifacts of all kinds. It's worth spending time there but I felt like without Mr Tiger telling you the stories and explanations, it's a lot less interesting. He said he's there into the nights, so the ideal time to visit is probably late afternoon into the evening.

An abosutely amazing find. The building has a few rooms, gatheting items of all sorts left behind. Each piece has a story that Tiger will surely tell. The hours are a little iffy. Very neat to have that kind of a variety. For example you can get a $20 skill candle or a $400 old operating table. See what I mean? It's definitely a great store to browse around. I easily spent 20 minutes just looking between their three rooms. The reason I did dock one star though is that while it was fun to browse, it's not necessarily my kind of merch. To each their own. Even more so I did find some of the prices to be a little high, maybe it's just me. One example I could give was I found a pretty simple necklace with a bat and heart that I've literally seen a hundred times over at Claire's. That necklace easily is about $7 or so, but here they were selling it for $35. I get they need to make a profit but the quality wasn't there and it was giving child's costume jewelry at a more expensive price. Surely they need to make the rent and knowing that a lot of people who come in are more so "just looking around" it makes sense prices need to be adjusted. A final positive to end on a good note is that the staff are absolutely lovely here. There were multiple staff working which I appreciated. Everyone was very very nice and welcoming. I love their passion for this store and enthusiasm. Nice people work here and I'm glad there is a store like this around for those who can truly appreciate what it has to offer.

I would HIGHLY recommend this store if you have any clock repair! I had a grandfather clock that had stopped ever since the northridge earthquake, so i called them and made an appointment for the next day. He came over, professionally took apart the clock from the cabinet, took it back to his store, fixed it, and brought it back the week after. Now it works perfectly and has been ever since he brought it in. He also gave me a 1 year guarantee on the service as well. I also had several clocks sitting around the house that needed to be fixed as well. He took a look at them and oiled and fixed them on the spot! I was amazed of the quality and the quantity of his work! He was also nice enough to keep me updated on what he was doing to each of the clocks. Overall, i had a great experience! That means approximately **36.6%** of the value was kept. For people who may not know: * A very fair/refiner-level buyer often keeps around **10% or less** * A decent local gold buyer usually keeps around **10-20%** * Keeping over **35%** is extremely high I do want to be fair and say this was partly my mistake because I should have slowed down and double-checked everything before agreeing. I had calculated my gold beforehand, but once the pieces started getting separated, weighed individually, and moved around during testing, I got confused and didn't stop to fully redo the math in the moment. It wasn't until I got home and sat down with the numbers that I realized how far off the payout actually was. At the same time, this is also why I personally would not return. An honest buyer who is trying to build trust and long-term customers usually does not let someone walk out with this large of a gap without at least explaining the percentages more clearly or offering something closer to a fair market payout. I'm posting this mainly as a warning for others: if you're selling gold, especially larger amounts of scrap gold, know the approximate melt value beforehand, take your time, and get multiple quotes before agreeing to anything.
