My favorite is their curation of books which also reflects US social/political/economics at any moment in time you are there, although the space holds books on any subject you want to look for. I know that when I walk in there I will for sure find something that would catch my interest. Probably because the store is located right across Princeton University campus, the selection of books is always very educational and diverse in voices and subjects. But unlike in other bookstores near universities, I noticed, Labyrinth still maintains an independant vibe. Once I walked in for books about writing, and found lots of books I have not heard about or seen in B&N or any other bookstores. It was like a breath of fresh air to walk into a bookstore and find something different than what I am used to seeing and discover new material. Books are priced the same way they are in other bookshops. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Labyrinth also offers games, it's own branded merch and art by NJ local artists. If you are or are not a booklover - you should definitely check it out. For example one time I went there with my boyfriend, who isn't as big of a reader as I am due to his busy schedule and doesn't purposely keeps up with literary news as I do - and he still found some books that caught his interest that he purchased! Do you need to know when the next Trenton Eat Local dinner is, who's running for city council, what new business has just opened in town? Or maybe you are joining the Trenton Knit and Stitch...or fancy a spirited game of Scrabble. You can also come to Classics to meet local authors, poets, artists... You need a unique gift... I was welcomed in by the shop's owner, Bobbie, and chatting with her was in itself worth the visit. Learn her story while there. In the end I had to limit myself to three books, but every shelf warrants a day's visit. Bobbie is selective in her curation and rightfully so. All titles I took home were ones she had featured; I'm convinced she can anticipate who will walk through that door and sets out just what they've come for.

I stopped by and immediately found a book I was interested in, but I would have browsed longer if I hadn't been itching to see as much of New Hope as I could on my first visit there. The customer service was very friendly, and the shop is really cute. The owner Chelsea knows her stuff! Can't find something you're looking for? She'll track it down for you. Plus, they advocate for the local community. Recently, they gave away gift credits to local teachers for their contributions to our community. Very cool!
