In town celebrating 40th wedding anniversary. Someone recommended we give Clinkscale a try and we are so glad they did. Hubby and I had an amazing meal and the service from every representative was incredible. Our waiter was on the newer side (he confessed) but it didn't show. He was one of the best servers we have ever had. He helped us with our wine selection and nailed it! You cannot skip the filet and blue cheese bruschetta. Amazing. We also had to try the roasted poblano tomato soup and it was yummy too. Our salad was so fresh! We shared an entree (Filet that cooked and served on a black iron skillet) because we had so many starters. They split it for us and we each got a side - amazing mashed potatoes and delicious roasted carrots. We cannot wait to return! Thank you everyone for a wonderfully memorable experience! read more

I have been to the clinkscale three times. Each time the service and food were excellent! We especially enjoyed the salmon and scallops. Our last visit we tried the steak with a lobster tail- awesome. Pay the extra 5 fee and get loaded mashed potatoes- they are to die for!!!! Great restaurant and staff! This place was amazing!! I'd never been to Jerome before. Such a cool town. We're in the area to go on the verde canyon railroad and it was my bday so I wanted to go here for the filet which I saw pics of and read reviews for. I eat steak maybe once a year. Typically steak in the US is crap so I don't bother. This filet was worth it. So so tender. Great flavor. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting. Super cute decor. First time coming to Jerome area. From the moment you walk in you're greeted with an awesome ambiance. The aroma and staff all make it that old tavern style which made it great to sit and eat. Our waitress had been in the area for 27 years and gave awesome fun places to check out and the history of the restaurant (haunted from 1899). To top it all off the food was amazing and full of flavor, the burger was cooked perfectly and had an amazing sauce. The chicken Milanese had the perfect sear and tenderness with a little bit of spice. Lastly, the Pork Marsala was filled with hints of brown sugar and thyme. Overall, great experience and will recommend to friends and family that are coming to visit the area! read more

Love love love this place! We tried to go to another restaurant that was being renovated and a guy standing out front recommended coming here. My husband ordered a Bloody Mary and I ordered the El Diablo mezcal drink to start. It's really cool they have a big glass dispenser behind the bar that is actually their infused vodka for the bloody Mary's. I didn't love my margarita so we ended up swapping drinks but they were both good. We split the Elote to start and it was excellent. We split the Burger and it was also AMAZING (we recommend getting it cooked medium) On top of the really great food and cocktails the service was GREAT. We have been here once for brunch, and two or three times for dinner. Each time the service, food, and atmosphere have been amazing. It's one of our favorite restaurants. We drive from Prescott to enjoy it when we have visitors or special occasions. We've loved the corn dip appetizer, fried cauliflower appetizers, burger with fries meal, tortellini pasta dish, and beignet dessert! They also have a spicy sangria that is enjoyable. They also make the best Shirley temple. All their drinks have had a unique twist that we've loved. Everything we have tried there has been stellar. They are great with walk-ins and reservations. Starting off with the food, it was absolutely delicious. The flavor is unexplainably fascinating, I've never tasted anything like this before. Then the service, all of the staff members were extremely nice, checked on us regularly, and came to our table immediately when our waters were running low. Last the ambience, we truly adored the aesthetic of the restaurant, it was so modern yet old fashioned. The chairs and booths were comfortable as well and the silver wear looked quite fancy as well. I also greatly enjoyed the ambient music playing, nothing too loud or too soft and it's never too busy! We enjoyed this wonderful experience in Jerome, The Clinkscale making it even better! The food and service was incredible!!! We had the Chicken sandwich and Turkey French dip. The Turkey dip was light and delicious. We had it with the soup that was very flavorful. The Grilled Chicken sandwich had Gruyère cheese, mushrooms, and arugula. It was so delicious. The French fries that I had with the Chicken sandwich were the best I have ever had. Old fashion French fries!!!! To top the meal off we had the cobbler!!! Light and flavorful!! Exceeds Expectations on all levels. When you think 5 star, you think about what it takes to impress. Previous (and recent) experience in small towns would dictate that there be compromises in service and/or quality and neither of those are in evidence here. The service here is nothing short of exceptional and the food, sublime. We wish we could take this place, and the people staffing it, home with us to our own 'hood, because we love it here. And that's even after sending our pork chop back twice (once for over, once for way under). I would normally be down on a place for that, but they were so gracious, and once the issue was resolved it was perfection. The pork was tender and juicy, and the Marsala sauce was the kind of sauce you want to lick off your plate. The beignets are made to order and come out piping hot, airy, with the right amount of sugar dusting on top. The sauces that came with it were chocolate, raspberry coulee, and royal icing. They were all delightful. We returned the next day for Brunch and had the burger and chicken and biscuits. It was all delicious - and the portions are generous as well. If you're visiting Jerome, your stay is not complete without enjoying a meal at Clinkscale. read more

We were planning on eating at Bobby D's, but stumbled upon this place and were drawn in by the menu. Specifically the steak and blue cheese bruschetta. We ended up ordering the bruschetta and the turkey french dip with a salad to share. The steak and blue cheese bruschetta blew us away. It is one of my favorite dishes I've ever had. I would return just for it. The amount of blue cheese was generous, the onions were amazingly caramelized. Everything about it was amazing. Even the steak had a smoky flavor. The turkey french dip was good, but I felt it needed a bit more kick from the horseradish. The addition of cranberries to the sandwich would have helped also. The salad that came with the french dip was excellent - specifically the dressing. Our server was great. Very attentive, but not snobby at all. He was fantastic about refills and had a fantastic demeanor. When we come back to Jerome, we WILL be eating here again. A very well deserved 5 star restaurant. read more

Had a side of grilled chicken and some of the most tender delicious grilled chicken I've ever had! My husband had the turkey club and said it was outstanding. Even the drip coffee was delicious. Our server, Jeff, an absolute delight! We had fun speaking with him and learning about Jerome. He was prompt and authentically pleasant. Would eat here again in a heartbeat! Love The Clinkscale. Brunch w/1¢ mimosas, so long as you order from the brunch menu. My wife loves the lemon ricotta pancakes. I always get a few bites. They are fantastic. I prefer more savory breakfasts however, so I go with the Eggs Benedict. We both have sides of their cheesy grits, piping hot, in little steel tubs. The grits alone, are worth the drive, and the parking. The music is a nice jazz mix. Give the place a feel of elegance. Friendly staff, that works their tails off. read more

The town of Jerome is enough of a vibe. Coming into The Clinkscale was a very nice upscale feeling in town. The food was delicious and the menu has many nice options. We sat at the bar and Robert was our bartender and informed us he doesn't bartend but the bartender was out due to weather. We stayed here while in route to New Mexico. I cannot say enough praises for Clinkscale! The room was beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is very small and in an old building- just above the restaurant, but it was quaint, classy, and so conveniently located on the main street of the town's downtown. We had both dinner and breakfast there. Both were wonderful but I will say dinner was suberb! The food was amazing!!! My boyfriend had the filet mignon it was so tender,tasty, and cooked just perfectly! I don't like beef but loved the taste of this dish. We also had their peach cobbler bread pudding- so, so, good! The service was friendly, professional with just the right amount of attention. A huge shout out to Noah, the manager there. He was so helpful with everything and checked to make sure our experience was great! I didn't expect such a wonderful experience in such a remote and small town. We recently heard about this boutique hotel and restaurant in Jerome, and did a one night stay. Hotel: there are only a handful of rooms, and the objective they are each unique. We stayed in the Daisy. Well done and appointed, though the faux brick wallpaper on one wall did not seem that high of quality. The bathroom was huge, nice walk in shower. Wi-Fi was very inconsistent and the tv reception was poor. We were able to see a couple of rooms at the front of property and they had amazing views. Restaurant: we had both dinner and brunch the next morning. Food was awesome. Whatever you do, make sure you have the grits, especially with breakfast/brunch. Best we have ever had. It was our first time visiting Jerome. After walking around and visiting a few shops we started to get hungry. We came across The Clinkscale cafe, so we put our names in for a table. Instead of waiting 45 minutes for a table we asked if we could sit at the bar. After a few minutes we were able to belly up to the bar. I ordered the Turkey French dip and my husband ordered the Clinkscale club. We each got a local beer on tap. Our server, Shawna was fantastic and very accommodating. The beer, food and service were all on point! We highly recommend The Clinkscale! The beds and linens made for a comfortable nights rest and the lighting was so elegant and set a nice mood for the room. Very relaxing The staff was fantastic and the food was A+ The only complaint I have is that for breakfast my friend and I ordered what we thought were the penny mimosa's but were charged $16 I just wish the server would have been clear that that promo was only good Mon-Friday other than that, it was an experience I look forward to have again soon!!
