We have bronze doors and with problems relative to the salty air, and he knows how to polish my doors and clean my windows. They also clean all our exterior lanterns. This was the first time I had my windows professionally cleaned in a very long time. Colm and Anita arrived on time. They put on shoe covering in entering the house, a nice touch. I was astounded at my windows and screens when they finished the job. You can hardly tell that there are screens are the windows and it my my house look so much cleaner. Ken and his sons did an excellent job on my windows, screens, frames and tracks. They were very courteous and accommodating. But what made them stand out were the extras. Ken called ahead asking if it would be convenient for my family if he showed up early versus other vendors who show up early without calling and then want you to adjust your schedule because it was more convenient for them. Ken also cleaned my garage door as well as removed some calcium water deposits without charging extra. Moreover, the initial quote did not cover the cost of the job because of some confusion. Instead of trying to renegotiate the price, Ken took responsibility and honored his quote. No fighting or squabbling. He made it right - fair and straight forward. Super professional and thorough. I called Ken for a gutter cleaning, and they came right out the next morning. They cleaned all the gutters from top to bottom, and even washed away the debris. These guys are, hands down, the best in Santa Barbara. Not only is their work absolutely meticulous, they are generous, flexible, and an absolute pleasure to have around. I told this to Ken and he helped me keep the price down and wrote me a quote with the cost for the "must have" and "want to have" windows, which was such a big help. I thought they only did windows, but they power washed my old chipped patios and teak chairs with a low pressure, high heat process that removed the mildew, restored the original color, and did not damage the concrete. They had to stay well past the sun went down to finish the items that I unexpectedly added to their list when I saw how well everything looked. Ken, Tate, and Tad came out to do my windows. They were very punctual, friendly, clean, and polite. I recently had my house painted and figured I was due for an extensive window and screen cleaning. I have about 12 year old Milgard Vinyl Windows so I didn't expect any major problems. I did not get any other estimates but I had a receipt from when I did it a while ago with another company so I had an idea what to expect. (Old company $130, new company a discounted $300!) Nothing personal about they guys, they were very nice and personable although not very thourough, they had skipped three windows until I reminded them (2 in front and a back bathroom window). The screens and windows were cleaned very well, a couple of them that were left to air dry still have minor spots but that was easy to fix. What bothered me was the vinyl and the gutters. I may have had too high of expectations that the windows INCLUDING the vinyl and tracks would look like new. I also should have been watching them more closely and explained what I expected. The window tracks were vacuumed but the vinyl around the glass did not look cleaned. On one window there were finger marks where they touched the very dusty top of the window near the latch but did not clean the vinyl at all. In another window, they vacuumed the track but did not even wipe it down, there was literally mud in the track where the inside and vinyl got cleaned before they washed the window. I remember when I had the windows cleaned last time it took 2 guys about 3/4 of a day to do everything. This time it took 3 guys 2 hours. It took me about 2 more hours of work after they left to clean the vinyl and tracks how I wanted. Bottom line, my star rating is higher than I should because I liked the guys and they were young, but I would probably get some other estimates before I used them again. read more
