After getting a few quotes we went with Professional Water Systems and I couldn't be happier with their service. A technician came out quickly and tested everything. Unlike the Culligan guy ( who quotes us 3x the price too) these guys found that only our iron filter was bad and the other part of our problem was coming from our water heater. They replaced our iron filter ( for a good deal) and fixed the problem with our water heater for free. Instead of $2000 for the other guy ( or $3400 for Culligan) we spent around $900. The work was done quickly and cleanly. The technician was polite and on time. The new iron filter has been working great. I will definitely go to these guys for any future issues we may have.

The previous company we used couldn't or wouldn't do much to fix the situation. I called Prairie State a few weeks ago, got a quote w/ a new system that didn't require adding bleach or emptying a tank all the time. Their new system was installed last week. Recently the brine control valve started leaking. Made a appointment and was scheduled within a timely manner. Albert, the service technician called with a time he arrived on our scheduled day. Nice, thorough man checked everything I had concerns with....that is testing how soft our water was and the inlet water screen. He replaced the leaking valve and everything is fine now. I understand that costs are going up but from $89 to $139 seems excessive to me. But....they know their business and do quality work.

My main concern is the price: $825 to snake the drain felt very high. Other plumbing companies later got back to me with quotes around $500.
