We stopped into The Chuckwagon, an Amish bakery and deli, and it is the kind of place you notice right away. As soon as you walk in, you are hit with the sweet smell of fresh baked goods. The store is stocked with staple ingredients you would expect from an Amish market, which makes it worth browsing beyond just the bakery items. I ordered a breakfast sandwich that was made to order and really good, and also grabbed a Danish to go. Everything felt fresh and simple in a good way. Overall, a great stop if you are passing through the area, and a place I would make time to visit again if I am nearby. read more

Whoa! If you want an amazing, tasty, ginormous deli sandwich -- this is your place! Made to order. My hubby likes double meat, double cheese, extra mayo along with all the fixings. Personally, you don't need to double. The sandwich is generously portioned. In fact, we each could only eat half! The store is also chocked full of all kinds of foods and bakery goods. The sour cream sugar cookies are wonderful! Soft, sweet -- almost cake like. Baby boomer "crack" as my hubby says. Seriously, the best sandwich bread we have had. This Amish run deli is amazing. You fill out your order slip, and they have your sandwich ready so quick even when it's busy. All of the bread is made right there. The Chuckwagon. They have white, wheat, and jalapeno cheddar bread. I got the Pastrami on white with horseradish, and it was fantastic. The bread was perfectly toasted, and the veggies were so fresh. He got the Pastrami on jalapeno Cheddar bread and was equally impressed. She got the turkey sandwich and loved it. If you are ever passing through Roberts MT, you need to stop here for lunch. They also have tons of locally made products, pies, and cookies, and you get got a whole loaf of bread to take home too! The parking lot is plenty big and right off the main road on the way to Beartooth Pass. The bathrooms and entire store are kept immaculate. It's just a really great place to stop off for lunch. read more

We found this gem randomly due to looking for some firewood. It was really fun shopping around his awesome place! They have great homemade food and it is all a great price! The workers are all always nice as well. I didn't get a chance to try a sandwich, but they looked very good! The only negative that turned me a way a little bit about the place is that we saw a giant spider on the floor. It was hard to want to buy anything after that. read more

What a treat!!! We are here on Spring Break from Tennessee and we went to Red Lodge Mountain to snowboard. On our way back to Billings, we stopped here for lunch. I am traveling with my teenage sons ages 16 and 18. My teenagers really enjoyed looking around and making their selections. We thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches and got several other goodies as well. Everyone working here was polite and kind. We did stay and eat inside and it was calm and quiet in the eating area. These are a few pics of the items we purchased. My wife and I stopped in before our trip back to Oklahoma. We bought some cinnamon rolls, cheese bread, peanut butter pretzels, and summer sausage. Prices were reasonable and the food is amazing. They have a variety of Amish products to include meats, cheeses, candies, baking products, and dairy products. If I could give more stars I would. The staff are very friendly and helpful. What a find!! Amazing cinnamon rolls, jalapeño cheese bread (so soft) and sandwiches. I can't wait to go back again!

We had very good sandwiches on jalapeno cheddar bread. The bread was some of the best bread I've ever eaten. We bought a loaf to carry with us to snack on and we had eaten it all by the next day! There were so many delicious looking desserts, but we didn't buy any because we would've eaten way too much. They had everything from rhubarb pie to cinnamon rolls to whoopie pies. I did have some ice cream and it was very good. This place is basically a sandwich/dessert place with a small grocery store attached. I would definitely eat here again if in the area. read more

I grew up near PA Amish and their farming, cooking, baking work ethics. chuckwagon touts itself as Amish but their store items are grossly overpriced, the salsa was flat and tasteless and the $18.00 peach pie had few peaches, just tasteless gelatinous goo. a bag of pretzels that goes for less than $3.00 normally was on the rack for $8.00. I had high hopes before visiting the store and will never return. read more

The sandwich that I got today was freshly made from the deli. I had her bag it so we could eat it on the road. Omg. It was awful. The roast beef was do old and brown it smelled. How do the justify its fresh. Total lie about fresh. We could not even eat the sandwich. Threw it in the trash. $15.00 for 1 sandwich. Subway can make a sandwich better than that.
