This review is long overdue as I've been wanting to sit down and write a proper review (didn't want…read moreto just write a few short liner & be done with), but was so occupied with many things and kept delaying. I've relied on Yelp for all my needs when I want an honest, unbiased review. So when I need flooring done in my sunroom, I went on yelp and stumble across this company after MANY contacts. Most contractors charge flooring & base board labor separately, but Daniel just gave me one quote for EVERYTHING (material & labor), including moisture padding. I almost thought I heard him wrong as it was soooooo inexpensive (should I say ridiculously cheap & unheard of). Come to find out that he is also a builder, so he got his supplies at a very, very good price and just pass on the savings to his customers. Trust me when I said I'm a bargain shopper, and yet, I think this is a steal bargain. He could have charged me more, but was honest enough to give me a very good price. Also, I only needed to do one room and most contractors wouldn't even bother to come and if they do, will upcharge my cost. However, Daniel was nice enough to do me a favor and did one room, with the same cost that he quoted me. His employee spent a good 5 hours to do my laminate wood flooring & baseboard, done in one afternoon. After they are done, the guy cleaned up well after himself, took off his shoe and mop my floor (wow, didn't expect that!). Since he's a builder/general contractor, you may also want to contact him for other services, as he does more than flooring. In all, I like that Daniel is accommodating, honest, and gives an unbeatable price. BTW, the reason why he hasn't got many reviews YET, is because he's just recently list his business on Yelp, but it's worth giving this company a chance...so glad I did. Doesn't hurt to check them out, before you go with other contractors.

I had prior experience speaking with other realtors and I couldn't help but notice that we were just a dollar sign to them, a possible commission. There were a lot of fake smiles and pretending to care. It wasn't until we bumped into Mary that I realized there are people in this industry that make it their business to take the time to really connect with a client, to have a true interest in the people and families they work with. She was always on time, incredibly diligent about responding to us, and even when we went through escrow and hit a few speedbumps with the sellers' realtor, she handled the stress of mediator with grace and determination. You would think that after you bought a home that would be the last time you heard from your realtor. That was not the case with Mary. In the following years she would send cards during certain holidays and little gifts (i.e. knee pads for my almost crawling baby boy) here and there just to reach out and see how we were doing. When COVID hit (a year and a half after escrow closed) she sent us a care package with a thoughtful card, air filter, and masks. She's not only an incredible realtor, but an all-around genuinely good person. I think it's an understatement to say we trusted her completely, which only made the huge decision to buy our first home that much more special. Thank you Mary, you're the best!

We used Christmas Brothers for a few years now, but this year was a Total catastrophic Rip-off. After leaving several messages, I finally got hold of Mark who emailed me the estimate after a couple of days. I was expecting around 50% increase this year. I was astonished when I saw the estimate. The price gone up from $1,625.00 to $7,768.95 for the exact job they have done previous years. Below are the pictures of previous and new estimates. First, I thought they send a wrong estimate, so I called and talked to Mark. After looking my old invoices, he said the prices are gone up and you did not decorate with us last year. I explain him that I lost my husband last year we were hearth broken and our businesses were lockdown end of November due to Los Angeles Covid-19 restrictions. His reply was cold and ruthless: he said, "sorry for your husband, we have a bigger warehouse and more employees now and this is our new prices". I told him I understand, I was expecting around 50% increase not 450%. He said it again you did not decorate with us last year so we cannot honor previous invoices, and this is our new prices, without thinking that I told him I lost a husband last year and I was hearth broken. It smashed our 8' X 12' skylight and blew out the 5' X 12' window wall under the skylight, and damaged our back deck, roof, firplace, and several walls of the house. JM Construction were recommended to us by our insurance company. Our home is architectural, built on a slope in the mountains, and not easy to work on. It has taken over a year, and we are very happy with the expert workmanship provided by JM in repairing our damage. Both Ben and Jeff were great to work with as well as all the JM staff workmen. This was one of the most DISTURBING experiences we've had with a contractor…read more We hired Rigo and his company, ArtLux, to build and landscape the front and back yard of our home, including a pool, outdoor kitchen, driveway, and landscaping. First, the project had serious workmanship issues -- uneven tile installation, incomplete grouting, unfinished lighting, incorrect installation of pergola leading to water damage, and many other things. Second, the billing and accounting was extremely difficult. As the scope of work changed, additional costs kept being added, but when items were removed from the project the price did not appear to decrease accordingly. We asked SEVERAL times for a clear accounting of the work completed versus unfinished items but never received one. Third, when we raised concerns and withheld the final payment until the project could be completed (which is standard practice), the situation escalated in a very alarming way. While we were out of town over the holidays, Rigo and his team entered the property without our authorization and removed installed pool equipment and outdoor kitchen appliances. In a message to us, he stated that he REMOVED the equipment to "GET OUR ATTENTION"! Because the systems were disconnected, flooding occurred and damage resulted in the backyard. Our pool does not circulate, which may lead to further damage. The experience left us feeling extremely violated and unsafe in our own home. Homeowners should expect disputes to be handled professionally and through normal communication. But this was NOT our experience with Rigo and ArtLux.

We called a few and finally found one that is registered, bilingual in Spanish and was able to come next day.
