I LOVE Christmas Brothers. This local 3-brother business has lit up our home for the ho-ho-holidays for four years. Ben & Sean, with office elves Madison and Shelly, are responsive, professional, neat, and creative. Our home looks amazing again this year. We have icicles around the 2-story exterior, plus lighted garlands on two balconies, and lights around our front-door pillars. Spectacular! Christmas Brothers brings all materials to my home. I rent the lights and garlands, which makes installation fast and take-down even easier. Best of all, I don't have to make room in my garage for 11 months of storage. No job too big or too small. LED lights help keep down energy costs. Thank you, Christmas Brothers! read more

I used Christmas Brothers for several years. Nice lighting, but very unreliable -- a bit of rain shorted out my lights, as they did not plug the end of the cords to prevent water intrusion. In 2025, due to a slight rain, I had no lights on Christmas Eve and Christmas night, despite the rest of the neighborhood being lit. The website says, "We promise a perfectly operating display and will check in every now and then. Should any issues arise, our dedicated maintenance team will resolve it for you." They didn't. I won't use them again. read more

It is February and lights still not removed. Cannot get a hold of live person. Leave voicemails no one calls back. Get all kinds of excuses and told I will be given a date for removal. Never happens. I am having new roof installed so I am just going to discard the lights read more

This is my first time I write 1 star review. When I don't like a business, instead of writing a bad review, I don't do business with them anymore. But this one needs to be written. We used Christmas Brothers for a few years now, but this year was a Total catastrophic Rip-off. After leaving several messages, I finally got hold of Mark who emailed me the estimate after a couple of days. I was expecting around 50% increase this year. I was astonished when I saw the estimate. The price gone up from $1,625.00 to $7,768.95 for the exact job they have done previous years. Below are the pictures of previous and new estimates. First, I thought they send a wrong estimate, so I called and talked to Mark. After looking my old invoices, he said the prices are gone up and you did not decorate with us last year. I explain him that I lost my husband last year we were hearth broken and our businesses were lockdown end of November due to Los Angeles Covid-19 restrictions. His reply was cold and ruthless: he said, "sorry for your husband, we have a bigger warehouse and more employees now and this is our new prices". I told him I understand, I was expecting around 50% increase not 450%. He said it again you did not decorate with us last year so we cannot honor previous invoices, and this is our new prices, without thinking that I told him I lost a husband last year and I was hearth broken. I was unable to think of anything to say and I hang up the phone. THIS IS CHRISTMAS BROTHERS read more

BUYER BEWARE. These people ran onto to my closed copper gutter over a year ago causing thousands of dollars in damage. They offered to pay as we have pictures of their truck at the damage. No word. I have called and even hired an attorney to pursue them. They must not have insurance. They certainly have no integrity. read more

WOW. Honestly I am blown away by the job these guys did! I found them through a friend to do my mom's house and I can't believe how amazing it looks! My husband wanted to decorate the 6 palm trees we have at our house. They charged $1,350 to decorate them. Although I am a frugal person, I did feel this was a tad expensive. However they did a great job and the quality of the lights definitely stand out. We've received numerous compliments from the neighbors :) read more

This was our first year using Christmas Brothers and we will be back. They were friendly, thorough, careful, professional, and responsive. I believe Steven was the foreman on our job and he couldn't have been kinder, and really seemed to care if we were happy. The whole crew had smiles, and seemed to work very well together. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. read more

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! After having used them for several years but this year told me my account was flagged?! And, then tried to double their prices. TOTAL RIPOFF. CHEATERS! I spoke to Mark and he promised to find me an alternative since they all of sudden have high minimums. He told me he'd call back since I needed installation immediate before lawns are reseeded. Now no return on several vmail mags and email. They are not even answering their phone. This a a disloyal and dishonest business who takes advantage of long standing clients and CANNOT BE TRUSTED! read more

Sitting here the last day of July and our Christmas lights are still up, they have now started to fall off of the house causing a hazard to people on the ground, my wife has made numerous attempts to contact them without any response. I will now need to hire someone else to climb on to my roof and remove them. Initial install was sloppy as well, lots of spare bulbs and boxes left all over the yard. Poor communication and no follow up even though we've reached out so many times. read more

I got a postcard in the mail from Christmas Brothets and I called to inquire about pricing. I found their pricing reasonable I and I went ahead and got a roofline of white lights installed. I was blown away at how it transformed our small house and how nice it looked. I was also so impressed by the professionalism and quickness of the installers, so much so that I had them come back to wrap a few trees and a hedges with lights. The main installer that we had was named Geno and he was fantastic! I couldn't find a power source so he quickly help me identify one and made sure to hide it well. We are so happy with the results, and we will definitely be recommending them and using them in years to come! read more

I was contacted after my complaint/review and the problem was resolved. ___________________________________________________ Hey Christmas Brothers, I'm still waiting for you to show up for last Saturday's appointment - what gives?! Backstory: I had you help me put up my Xmas lights and paid you in advance to take them down again. Numerous unanswered call/voicemails later, I finally got someone on the line who said I'm scheduled for Saturday (no approximate timeframe). Nobody showed up for the appointment, nobody answered my (increasingly annoyed) calls. Against my better judgement, I'm willing to take this review down if you guys do the job this week. Christmas Brothers - Lighting Fixtures & Equipment Near Me

We would give negative stars if possible! We used Christmas Brothers to install lights on our clients home this year for Christmas. They are about as bad of a vendor as I can imagine. First off they were advised the budget was $750! They agreed! But did not provide a written estimate!! When done they presented a bill for $1100. We advised them that was not agreed to. Now for the worst part! The home in question is a newly remodeled home with a completely 100% new lightweight concrete tile roof in Newport Coast in fact the home was habitable but is only about 95% complete as of this writing. The Christmas Brothers personnel were advised to not walk on the roof of the home due to a specialized roof tile that is fragile. What do they do? They walk on the roof! All over the roof! Not just a couple of areas. NO! they were all over the roof. To top it off they were literally taking NO CARE to not damage delicate, hard to repair and expensive roof tiles. When caught on the roof they were told to get down. Which they did. But not before damaging more tiles. We advised Madison of Christmas Brothers of the situation and she denied they were on the roof (mind you she was not present at the site!) Madison also denied roof tiles were broken. We went and took photos of the tiles that were broken from various positions (about 40 tiles were affected) that we could access by ladder without walking on the roof and causing further damage. We sent those photos to Madison. Her only real response was when could her crew remove the lights and inspect the roof. We advised her no one can go on the roof she agreed in writing and sent a crew out. What is the first thing their representative (Myles!) does? He goes on the roof! While up there he damages more roof tile! We have photos of Myles going on the roof again without permission and a written representation by Madison that no one will go on the roof. When Madison was advised of all this and was presented with the evidence she STILL denied the situation. When asked for their insurance information Madison coyly said oh its not on this PC I will get back to you. Well guess what she has never gotten back to us despite over a half dozen emails and several phone calls. Very dishonest people! read more

Stay away from this company !!! I scheduled an appt a month ago - they gave me a price and then called me two hours after they were supposed to be here that they were cancelling! Said they couldn't stay in my budget due to the size of my house' they had no idea the size of my house because no one came out like they said. I scheduled my whole day around this appt Now they just called bAck Snd said they can do my house - 2 trees and a lil garland for 900 dollars !! They quoted 500-700 on the phone Do not use read more

I am so disappointed by the customer service from this company. I used this company first 3 years ago and since then referred them to so many people. However, I am so sad to report this company is no longer reputable or someone I would every use again. I called them this year, just like the few years prior to set up service for our Christmas light install for my house and my moms house ( we live 2 blocks from each other). Last year they did my house for $1600 and did my moms house for $750. When I called they notified me that their minimum went up to $850 and so it would be $850 for my moms house but my house price would not change since it met the minimum. Well 2 days later I got a call saying that the min. is now $1k and they cannot do her house for less. She further proceeds to tell me that my house will now also no longer be the $1600 rate they charged me last year but will be $2300. I understand price increases however a $700 increase seems ridiculous. All in all I don't think the girls in this office know what they are doing. No one knows anything, and everyone is just making things up on the fly. seems they are a bunch of kids who have been in placed in charge without receiving proper training or having been informed of guidelines. Its so unfortunate but judging from all the horrible reviews this year, their "growing business" will for sure stop growing. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY read more

What an amazing service! I've always wanted to have holiday lights on my home, but never knew how to go about it. I tried asking gardeners and task-rabbit people, but the costs and risks were too high with a 2 story house. Enter Christmas Brothers- they have it all figured out and had my house up and festive in no time at all. As a nice bonus, they sent me a hand-written thank you card with a soft t-shirt. The best! I highly recommend :) ps: I also got a text from the family across the street thanking me for bringing cheer to the neighborhood with our holiday lights. read more

Christmas Brothers - Lighting Fixtures & Equipment Near Me

This is a huge bummer to write, because we used Christmas Brothers for many years. We have a simple string of lights around the roof. Last year we were charged $410 (to do early). This year they want $750. I called and said we don't mind a reasonable annual increase, but this is almost double. They would not go lower... I reminded them that 3 years prior they had us (and all their customers) "buy" their lights to use every year. I asked if I could have the lights I bought, which might reduce expense for me. They said they did not. Anyway, I told them I was going to write this review and it didn't seem to matter to them. Very nice woman fielding this call (and she said they were getting many of these calls), but bad result. Bah humbug! read more

The team came to install Christmas lights this afternoon. It looks amazing and they were super efficient. We weren't totally clear about how we wanted it to look and we're still making last minute decisions when they arrived, but Stephen was totally understanding and offered his expert opinion which was helpful. The final product exceeded expectations. read more

Completely ruined my Christmas tree decoration. I had my Christmas lights installed by this company. The very expensive price included decorating a tree up to 30 feet. They missed the first appointment without a call indicating they were not coming (this should have been my clue to move on). I let them know at installation time this was not what we agreed upon. Installers indicated I contact the office. I contacted the office and showed them in writing what services I paid for and they agreed they would correct the problem. They made 2 appointments and never showed. On December 22nd they informed me they would not fix the issue but would mail a $200 refund check for compensation. I never received the check. They called for installing my lights this year and informed them I had not received the check. Donna indicated she would talk to her supervisor. I have yet to here from anyone. Extremely unprofessional business practices read more

We have used Christmas Brothers to light up our home for 12+ years. In fact - we were one of their earliest customers. After several attempts to schedule our service this season - Christmas Brothers informed us that they have significantly increased their minimum order and therefore cannot accommodate our home. While we certainly understand inflationary price increases and were prepared to pay 50% more - they were requesting triple. read more

These guys are some virtuoso holiday light installers! My experience with this company was nothing but spectacular from beginning to end. The lovely woman handling the phones was very informative and helpful when it came to scheduling and the group of boys who put the lights up even showed up 15 minutes early. The lights are gorgeous, like a horse is. My wife and kids have been nagging about lights for the past 2 weeks so it pleases me to make them happy. As we all know, happy wife = happy life! I am particularly pleased with the stellar appearance but even more so with the bargain price! I paid only $350 which is much lower than the other quote I got this season. I didn't have to fudge up any commas for this service. These guys also use extra products such as timers so you can rest easy knowing it ain't nothin to cut that switch off! read more

Christmas Brothers - The amazing job done by the Christmas brothers! - Lighting Fixtures & Equipment Near Me

Last year I bought my first home and for Christmas I wanted to decorate it with lights like my new neighbors. However, I'm not as handy as most and I know nothing about installing Christmas lights on anything other than a tree. I did some searching and I found this company and was impressed by what insane on their site. Their pricing is fair and they let you schedule when they come do the work and everything is really easy when you stop and think about it. By the time the sun had went down I was thoroughly impressed by how my home had looked and wanted to use their services again or at the very least recommend them to someone else. Fast forward a few months and now my cousin is getting married and named me the best man, yay me. His bride had asked if I knew of a company that specialized in lighting arrangements and I remembered that Christmas Brothers also installed lighting at weddings and other events as well. Again, the service was amazing. The wedding looked beautiful and the price was more than fair. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone for their lighting needs. Definitely worth checking out. read more

Was having the in-laws over for Christmas time and I needed to show these bible thumpers that I have family values and "love" Christmas. These reliable and trustworthy brothers came over and the light work on this house ended up looking like a Kanye concert. Synchronizing lights with dubstep Christmas music? Check. Robotic Santa with laser sensors to wish these shitty kids a merry fucking Christmas? Chiggity Check. We used Christmas Brothers in 2016 and 2017. In 2016, they were amazing so we rehired them in 2017. We pulled out the bin of lights we had used in 2016 and they put them up in 2017. What was odd is that it seemed like we had fewer light coverage on the house than the year before, which seemed odd, so we just passed it off as our memory being faulty. Fast forward to Jan 2018. They are taking down our lights in the middle of the afternoon and I just happen to open to the trash can on the side of the house. They had put a full string of lights in there. I asked what they were doing in there and they told me that they were bad. I'm not sure how they expected me to believe they would know they were bad when they were never turned on, so I waited outside with them until they were gone. When they finally left, I took the lights out of the trash can and tested them. Sure enough they worked just fine. I'm sure they were going take them at the last minute after I had gone into the house. I spoiled that plan by waiting for them to drive away. I also have no doubt that someone in Nov 2018 would have been sold my used lights as new. I don't know that all their teams are like this, but this was enough to sour me on Christmas Brothers forever. They will never get a dime from us again You won't trust them if you value your money read more

Bad customer service. Very bad. We've used them for a few years. Each year we paid more, not less. Lots of discussion as to why we need more etc. One installer continued to smoke cigarettes during the job, stinking up the place while another one had a broken arm. We still tipped generously. We are that customer. That said, enough with them. We won't use them next year. Be warned. Several lights went out. Getting them to return calls? Doesn't happen. Getting them to come back and remove the lights, even when they are charging an additional $50 to do so when other companies don't since other companies include that in their overall price, well, good luck with that. It's February 5th 2016 and although we've been told a date for removal and excuses as to why no return emails, phone calls, or a removal team, our lights are still up. read more

A TOTAL SCAM. Worst company I have ever hired for ANYTHING. They rip you off for hundreds of dollars every chance they get. I cannot emphasize enough how disgraceful their business practices are. Example: they stood in front of my house and quoted an installation price. After installation they claimed I owed them more than $500 above the quoted price. Also, they promised that the "take down" fee was $50. When the lights were falling off my house in January, after I had left them 9 messages to schedule a take down, I received a return call... where they told me they would only do it for $100. Criminal. SAVE YOURSELF THE CHRISTMAS HEADACHE, use someone else. read more

This company is absolutely terrible at responding to phone calls. They are completely on top of trying to book houses to install the lights, but try getting them to come back out and take down the installed lights? NO RESPONSE! They did an okay job putting up the lights but had major problems with light timing and had to have them come back to the house a few times before they fixed the problem. Now I'm trying to uninstall the lights and guess what nobody has called me back, after two weeks of calling and leaving over 7 voicemails. I really wouldn't be surprised if this terrible (customer service) company has gone out of business. read more

From the initial call- the experience was great. Madison did a great job explaining the plan and the options. She was friendly and professional. Carlos was quite professional and courteous as we walked the property and discussed options. I appreciated his graciousness as I was unsure at first about some design options. He even wrapped the lower portion of 2 trees to give me two options. His team was also friendly and professional. The lights look amazing, and I am super thankful to have hired Christmas Brothers to do our lights this year. read more

Christmas Brothers - Lighting Fixtures & Equipment Near Me

I spoke with Christmas Brothers on Monday, December 15th to inquire about a free estimate. I approved the estimate and was told by the gentleman on the phone that, due to a reschedule, they could be at my house @ 11am on the following day, Tuesday, December 16th. Stayed home from work, and Christmas Brothers never showed. I left a message at their office @ about quarter 'til noon, asking if they intended on coming, and that message was never returned, either. They stood me up, and they never called to explain why - so, with the holiday approaching, I just bought a roofer's kit for $100 @ Lowe's - which is about $300 less than it was going to cost Christmas Bros to put up and take down the lights, per their own estimate - and I'll put up the lights myself. Happy holidays, guys. Considering this is the second such incident Yelpers have experienced within a week, I'd steer clear of this business. Who has time to spend an entire day getting stood up by someone who isn't willing to take your money during the holidays? Not me - I bet not you, either. read more

When I called to make my appointment I established what the total fee would be to install in late November, and remove the lights after the holidays. It was a little pricey for simply stringing a single row of lights along the roof line, but I was so happy to get an early season appointment that I consented. When the workmen arrived timely to install my lights I didn't even mind them charging me an additional $25 for a couple of extra strands of additional lighting (my own lights) be added to my front porch. Before the workmen began, I confirmed with them AGAIN that the total fee covered installation and removal of the lights. The work was completed, and the servicemen paid in full. We called to set an appointment for the lighting to be taken down this morning, and was told the cost would be an additional $30. That's when the mushroom cloud exploded! WHAT A SCAM!!! I was pretty hot and ready to wage public relations war using every weapon in the social media arsenal. This story has a decent ending though. After hearing my complaints, the owner, in the interest of good public relations, decided to remove the lights at no additional cost. Will I use them again? Hmmm.....
