It's still magical and the happiest place on earth, the weather forecast was for torrential rain but surprise surprise it stopped raining and it was pure magic, the air was fragrant, there was no freezing wind like last year, it was so fresh, I inhaled all that oxygen. Due to so much fearmongering, 1/2 of the houses were not illuminated and Santa sleigh was locked and closed. The house w the trains running, they shut it down yesterday. There was a dude from out of town w his car 100% illuminated, a low rider or nice sport car parked there and allowed everybody to take picture, he was so nice, he invited me in and he took pictures of me sitting in his car. It was a nice walk after a big Christmas dinner, if you want to visit, hurry, it will still be open a few more days. I'll post movies and pictures soon, I'm exhausted from all that shopping and commotion but again, this is a solid 5 stars free entertainment. read more

This was my first time attening the El Segundo Candy Cane Lane decorations homes of lights, the location is in between LAX and Manhattan Beach Ca. There is just an few street that every house on both side of the street are fully decorated from the house, lawn, trees and fence. This event is a walk through only, and yes there is a very large crowd, but you get the chance to view the homes up close and personal. So many beautiful homes to admire as you stroll through the neighborhood, there are even owners out selling pop corn, hot cocolate, lights and coffee, plus there is an area with portable toilets. Eddie Murphy new movie Canndy Cane Lane that was release on Dec. 2023 part of movie was filmed in this area / street, this was a great way to get into the holiday spirit. read more

I've heard about Candy Cane Lane for years and this was the first year I got a chance to stop by, and let me say, it is worth the hype! I love how all the houses go all out with decorations and it's fun just being able to walk down the street and appreciate everything with large crowds of people. There was also holiday music playing in parts of the street, which I thought was a nice touch. This definitely put me in the holiday spirit and I plan to come back for future years. read more

For the main part of candy cane lane, it's closed off so be prepared to look for parking in the nearby streets. It is busy but was not impossible to find parking. During the walk, our dog was able to come with! It's about a block and the houses are beautifully and creatively decorated. Great views and for the amazing price of free, it was a wonderful experience! read more

All the lights!! This was my second year coming to Candy Cane lane, this time with a small group of friends. Such a great way to get into the festive, holiday spirit. This community does an amazing job. For those looking to visit, this is a walkable street where the houses go all out with decorations. They have security, bathrooms and of course Santa. There's plenty of street parking. The week of Christmas will be very busy. This year we went the week before and later in the evening and it wasn't that busy. read more

Great place to see holiday lights. Parking can be very hard to come by so just be prepared to walk some to see the lights. It can get quite crowded on weekends. You can bring your dog here but make sure it's well controlled and clean up after your dog. It's a beautiful place to see holiday lights and some of the displays are very impressive. Definitely recommend seeing this place for holiday lights and to get you in the holiday mood. read more

I love seeing all the decorations and lights. It's a super good experience to just park your car and walk and see all the lights. I love it.

We've been to Torrance which we enjoyed, I saw that El Segundo had something similiar so we went to go check it out. The impression.... it was so underwhelming in comparison to Torrance. We went right when the opened at 7pm last weekend and it was so bad... crowed (which was expected) but the decorations were just not there.... So we will most likely be checking other places around the Southbay. read more

Went during the week and it was busy but not super crowded. You may have to park down the block and walk over but it's a great family affair to enjoy the beautifully decorated houses. A few homes were selling hot chocolate and popcorn which was a good treat. It's not a candy cane lane that you drive through so prepare to walk but it's just a block. read more

Gotta give it to all the home owners that put the effort and time into making events like this happen for others to enjoy. Reason for the 3 stars is that the section closed off for Candy Cane Lane is very short and small for what I was expecting out of it. Parking was insane since it's closed off to cars and you gotta find parking somewhere in the neighborhood. Traffic is crazy on the main leading to the event and the cops aren't doing a good job helping guide it. Overall it's cool if you live near by to come but to make a drive for it it's not worth it. Other locations have better spots. read more

Candy cane lane is an experience for all ages. There were about 4 blocks to the left & 4 blocks to the right. Totaling 8 blocks all. There are a lot of house that sell hot chocolate, popcorn, and marshmallows. We got our items from the entrance by the police department. They were really nice, accommodating, and friendly. Hot chocolate was $2.00 & with popcorn $5.00. There are a lot of families, so parking is really hard to find. Other than that ITS WORTH THE DRIVE ANS SPENDING TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY read more

If you are looking for a family friendly activity I would recommend coming here. People from all ages come and enjoy this event. It's awesome to see everyone have lights music and the themes are amazing to see. If you have been here before most homes would have the same to similar themes from past years. Some homes you will see are selling snacks like popcorn, candy and even beverages like hot cocoa. It's a wonderful reason to get out of your home and just take a stroll to see the lights. Parking is not horrible if you go during the week day but the weekends you might have some trouble. If you have a smaller car to take I would recommend take it for easier parking than a truck. read more

Candy Cane Lane is where you go to see Christmas lights. I have been before so when I went 2 months ago it wasn't what I expected. Everyone's homes were decorated but quite a few weren't. Some were over the top and some were not. Don't know if I would go again. read more

Kids wanted to see Christmas lights, and boy did the street deliver! Every house on the street was decorated. Loved the homes with the themes, my son's favorite was the Star Wars house. All the lights just really puts you in the holiday spirit. There were folks selling glowing toys for little kids. We even saw a house put out hot chocolate for all the guests. Police barricade off the street so that people can walk in the street, which is needed given the crowd size. Parking gets a bit challenging, but if you're ok w/ a few minutes walk, it's less stressful to just park a bit farther away on a residential street and walk to Candy Cane Lane. read more

This is SO beautiful and festive and fun! My toddler loved it so much but honestly I wish I had gone previous years because I enjoyed it so much myself! I will say it is extremely crowded. Like park 3 blocks away, police barricades, drive around so slow you're barely able to move the car type of crowded. So be prepared to come early, walk far and bring jackets and masks. We did the first block and it wasn't as crowded but the farthest one down (the most famous and oldest part) was so crowded you could only see people as far as I could see, couldn't even see the street. With COVID still reigning supreme I didn't want to risk diving into that but there were people selling popcorn and hot cocoa and light decorations. I'd stick to coming on the weeknights instead of Sunday! But highly highly recommend! read more

One of the things I love about Christmas holiday is seeing all of the pretty lights and decorations. I highly recommend stopping by here because it's a very convenient stroll down a neighborhood street. You'll need to park off the street because they close the roads or if you happen to live nearby, you can just walk down the street as well. Some of the houses have extravagant but yet very creative decorations, I love some of the cute cut-out decorations on their lawn. Some of the themes range from Disney characters to Snoopy characters and even Looney Tunes. Overall, a great opportunity to take a nightly stroll and also spend time with friends and family. read more

What a fun and free outing to do with your family during the holidays! We arrived on a Friday evening at around 6pm. During this time, the festivities just begun and there were only a small handful of people (mostly families). Candy Cane Lane is a short block and we were able to see the entire block within 30 minutes. My toddler loved it! Each house is decorated with lights and decorations. There were a couple themed houses - Snoopy, Disney. One house had a movie playing and another house was selling treats and drinks. At the end of the block there's a sleigh for photo opportunities. Unfortunately, Santa wasn't there that early. What's nice is that the block is closed off so patrons can roam on the street and is especially nice for those with strollers. Parking: Residential Parking. Come early! I recommend this place if you have a relatively short drive to Candy Cane Lane. I probably wouldn't drive over 30 minutes to visit this place. read more

Went here last night, their hours are daily from 5-10pm, they have blocked off a block so you can park and go enjoy the lights while sipping on some cocoa and taking a stroll down candy cane lane. I been here before, there wasn't very many people, that's because I normally go on the weekends, so, if you're trying to avoid the huge crowd, I suggest to go during the week. The houses are very pretty, the Christmas vibes are definitely there. read more

Great place to be to catch a glimpse of holiday lights in the area / El Segundo. The neighborhood puts in a lot of effort with their displays so you won't be disappointed making the trek. One can catch a Griswold Christmas complete with Uncle Eddie, to Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang to a traditional gingerbread house and Hawaiian styled theme (Santa on a surfboard) complete with Mele Kalikimaka playing in the backdrop. You can catch the residents getting together for holiday cheer while sharing the exterior of their home Christmas lights with you. Tip: The place is very crowded, so be sure to plan accordingly and park off the beaten path (4-5 blocks away). read more

It was okay, not great. The majority of the homes on the 3-block stretch made an effort but not all. Really only a few houses went all out. Easy parking. You can walk it or drive it. We walked. Frankly I don't know why anyone would drive these things--you need to get out of the car and walk it to appreciate it and feel it. The most interesting thing was that in this short walk, 4 homes were for sale--coincidence? or something else going on? That was weird. Give yourself at least an hour to walk it. read more
