Primark at Cielo Vista Mall - First Impressions…read more I hadn't stepped into Cielo Vista in ages, but curiosity got the better of me when I saw all the ads for Primark, one of the mall's newest (and biggest) stores. It's tucked upstairs in the corner with its own bright, welcoming entrance, and honestly, it feels like a cross between H&M and Old Navy. What Stood Out The store is huge with wide aisles and tons of associates ready to help. They carry everything--clothes for men, women, kids, bras, beauty products, shoes, home goods, even luggage. Prices are undeniably cheap. I snagged a pair of pants for $10 and a jacket for $20. Not the best quality, but perfect for refreshing basics or quick trends. Shopping Experience The checkout system was... interesting. You pick between regular or self-checkout, and while they charge for bags, there are free paper ones hidden at the bottom if you look closely. On the way out, you scan your receipt at a gate before leaving. Very different setup compared to other retailers. Overall Vibe Primark is fast fashion through and through. If you need affordable, on-trend clothing in a pinch, it delivers. But if you care about longevity or sustainability, you may find the quality lacking. Personally, I don't usually shop fast fashion because of how quickly it ends up in landfills--I prefer secondhand--but I wanted to check it out. Would I go back? Maybe if I needed a quick, budget-friendly piece. But for me, it felt a lot like items I could just order online from Amazon. Still, for El Paso shoppers who love variety at low prices, this store is going to be a hit.

I did it at both this place and the one in the outlet and it worked both times. They said the size of bag doesn't matter as long as it's not ridiculously small. So I took 2 Walmart bags. From the childhood days of exploring the WB Store and Discovery Channel store (yes I'm showing my age), teenage years working at Abercrombie and Hollister, to my 20s buying every damn 1MX shirt at Express for the clubs and bars, this mall was a staple. Situated smack dab in the center of El Paso off of I10, it has still held its ground in the dystopian closures of malls and when the grand structures of what once held down America are becoming few and in-between. This mall is still running strong and I have to say that free parking at this mall is such a blessing. It's a tad surreal how you get used to paying for parking to shop in other cities, so it's refreshing lol. Yes some stores might not be ideal and someone is bound to offer you a "free sample" in a kiosk, but it's a fun place to experience time to time.

We decided to stay and tough it out though and check out their black Friday deals. Place was crowded and so hard to get around people since all the stores fixtures and shelves are crammed together. Employees looked irritated and they didn't even bother saying excuse me when trying to walk by. We found a couple of things and walked towards the line. The line was long but hey it's Black Friday so we didn't care. They had a huge fan pointed towards the register but it wasn't helping. It just made the smell worse. They have everything by color and not sizes which I don't like but can get used to. They have a kind of creepy guy who was obviously their "security" because he was walking around trying to look like he was shopping but obviously wasn't.
