This isn't a thrift shop. Its a side Ebay store judging by all of their pricing. Seriously they get all of this stuff donated and the management that takes care of pricing still wants to get greedy and increase profits by overpricing their stuff? What happens when lower income families are trying to enjoy some of the same commodities that others have and they go to one of these and boom, stuff more expensive than Walmart. I'm also not just referring to "name brand" items, I mean an HDMI cable you can get for 5 bucks when they have em at walmart (cause they sell out) for 5.99 here and its used and you don't know if it works and there is no way of checking cause staff is never around and...Man this place was just a let down. I usually shop on Seniors' Day so as to get the 30% discount. I do think they need to re-think some of their pricing. For example, they were selling Christmas paper and bags for more than what you can get it at the Dollar store. I also don't like the way they bundle their small items. Savers is very similar to a Good Will. This facility is located worldwide that collects new and used goods and sells these donations. Savers also partners with non-profits so the charitable organization and can earn money from members who donate items to support them. I have been in Savers once or twice and they have a pretty good selection of items and books. I didn't find a book I was interested in but should go back and check again. Also if you make a donation, you earn points (or a check on the star on a punch card coupon they give you) to save if you do decide to make a purchase at the store. I'm an avid thrifter, always looking for a deal, savers was always very economical, friendly, clean! Recently that all changed! Now the prices are by far more expensive than any other retailer! They get their merchandise either free or practically free, then turn around and charge an arm and a leg! They are no longer friendly, the employees are usually under the influence of something, and demand that you leave bags up by the register. They do permit women to carry bags but stop men from wearing their back packs! If their afraid of theft hire more staff. The restrooms are disgusting, rarely clean, always out of toilet paper, urine on the floors, graffiti on the stall walls. Do better!!! read more

I'm always looking for stuff at inexpensive prices in new or like new condition. I was hoping I'd get 20 percent off with my points but I don't have enough yet. You give the cashier your phone number and/or email address to sign up for this perk. Once you reach 100 points from purchasing items, you get 20 percent off during a visit. Yelp had it as 8 percent cash back but that didn't work either. Welp! Lol. J/K. The good thing is I'm recycling and helping out a non-profit while buying stuff I want. I could spend hours in this store because they have so much stuff to look at at decent prices. The books are buy 4, get 1 free. The least expensive I saw were 99 cents each. Savers offers 50 percent off if you buy something with a tag that's a certain color. Anything with an orange tag was 50 percent off when I went. The colors change everyday. They'll let you know which color is on sale when you get there. I believe they also offer military discounts...don't quote me on that though. They have a lot of namebrand items like Gap, Coach, Michael Kors, New York and Company, Guess and more! They even had a Rocawear purse! (Jay-Z's former brand until he sold it). If you like 80s and 90s music, they have you covered. The song that stood out most was "Summertime" by Will Smith or DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince. Wow! Memories! I love purses so I spent $40 on 3 of them and brand new socks. I got 2 wristlets (one was Gap) and a smaller purse (New York and Company). I saw some books I wanted by Nicolas Sparks and Judy Blume. I'll have to go back because their inventory changes often. A+ experience here! I prefer this Savers over the one on the eastside. It's cleaner and has a wider selection. read more

This is my guilty pleasure place. I do agree that some items are overpriced but as with any type of shopping it is buyer beware. Savers makes it very clear that they are a for-profit that supports charities. That being said, you get some good deals if you shop the discounts. 30%off senior day, 20% off with a coupon for donation, points added up for 20% discount, military discount, and weekly 50% color discount. It is just fun to go through and see so many different types of items. Retail stores have the same item in different sizes but the selection here is eclectic. I go to find unusual items and items that don't have to be new for home usage. The staff is always nice and love that they are constantly stocking, so there is something different all the time. Don't care for the self-help counters, although it seems every business is going to that. I did enjoy conversations with the clerks at the checkout. The lines have gotten longer since the installation of the self check out. read more

My mom is visiting from out of state. I took her to this location twice during this visit. She was told she could return an item. Not even 24 hours later, she was only offered store credit. A return is different than exchanging for another item. Just to possibly buy something else that's broke or clothes with holes. She overlooked the fact that two employees didn't speak a lick of english. I don't mind anyone who can speak more than one language or has a different primary language. But it's impossible to communicate with anyone who cannot speak this countries official language. Bad customer experience. *Furthermore, Savers only donates roughly 8% of their profit to charity. I'm a take your grandpa's style. And I'm gonna do it at Savers. I'm still questioning why all thrift stores don't play Macklemore's Thrift Shop as soon as you enter the building. It seems like the kind of thing that would set the tone for a killer shopping trip. I've donated a few times already this year to Savers and that experience is the best that I've had when doing a drop-off. Once you pull up someone comes outside and helps you carry in all the too tight t-shirts and high water pants you own. Thanks, guys! Seriously. The last couple of times I donated I had boxes and boxes of stuff and getting it into my tiny car was already a whole thing that was completely draining so it's so nice to causally pull boxes from my car (that feel like every second they're getting a pound heavier) as they're lifted from my arms and dropped off inside. Now as a customer... I've been here a couple of times looking for very particular things for Halloween costumes and what not. They do actually have a pretty decent selection of costumes leading up to Halloween, but obviously you're going to have to find something in your size so that may be a little tricky. I like how organized they are here too. Everything has a place. And the prices seemed spot on. Like nothing marked up to ridiculously high prices that resembled buying a brand new shirt at the mall. Pretty big store. I've never been turned away because they couldn't take any more donations. And it's a good shopping experience for the everyday or casual thrift shopper. read more

A hidden gem in El Paso. I've never heard of Savers before so I kept passing by thinking it was a grocery store. This thrift store is associated with Value Village. This thrift store is amazing. Staff is super friendly. The store is organized and they're always putting new stuff on the floor. Great selection of adult and kids clothing, furniture, and books. I'd probably visit once a week if it were closer to me! My favorite part is you get a 20% off coupon for making a bag or box donation. Definitely will be visiting at least once a month. I find this store ridiculously expensive for a second - hand store. There are sometimes tags on products from the original purchase and the savers tag is higher than the original price. The item is used and they are selling it for more than it sold originally. I'm in total shock people keep shopping there. TJMaxx sold this hat box for $4.99 and savers marked it for $5.99. They are not even clever enough to put their tag over the old one. My friend and I go to Savers weekly. Kind of like a treasure hunt. Recently I purchased a cool looking bottle for $3.99 and when I got it home and started to clean it.... underneath the Savers price tag was the original price tag from TJ Maxx for $1.99. Brand NEW it was $$1.99!!! And I paid $3.99 used. I feel like this non-profit has gotten greedy. These items are donated to them and they are gouging their customers. This has happened to me more than once at Savers and yesterday was the last straw. There were candles on their shelf from Big Lots that when new, were $2.99 and Savers had a price tag of $3.99 (see picture). This time they never bothered to cover up the original price tag. Sloppy work on the employees part but bad for the store. Many of the bottles on their shelves are over priced and many of them come from the dollar stores where I recently found them ALL cheaper NEW than if you purchased them from SAVERS a second hand store... my point here is "buyer beware". Educate yourself on what the retail price is BEFORE shopping here to avoid being taken advantage of. They are taking advantage of the shoppers. read more

I LOVE THIS STORE. It's enormous, absolutely. There are so many racks of clothes. It can be a whole day ordeal to really shop and find your new favorite clothing. My wardrobe has been completely transformed by having access to affordable, cute clothing. I'm wearing an awesome blue dress right now! They also have revolving specials on specific weekdays. Wednesdays seniors and students get discounts, I believe. Monday also has one tag half off. Also, a great source of books. I always find books on international relations and politics that I have on my to-read list. Ignore the smell of the clothes. It washes off. Make sure to try on all the clothes you are planning to buy. I've had several several instances where I've had to not get clothes because I saw a rip or impending rip which I wouldn't have seen had I not tried it on or examined it closely after doing so. read more

The last time I went here my friend and I rummaged through the aisles and found two wedding dresses. Now, the two of us weren't planning on getting married any time soon (if I can help it, I'll never get hitched) but it was nearing Halloween and we wanted to keep our options open just in case we found an epic costume. Didn't end up going with the wedding dresses but we found some other pieces to pull our costumes together. There's no doubt it's a great place with some awesome deals and all the benefits go to a good cause - Candelighters. I've never had a real problem with service here most of the staff speaks primarily Spanish, and there's nothing wrong with that. I got a men's Cashmere coat for $29.99, I really can't complain about that it's beautiful. Not to mention endless amounts of shirts for sale in any number of sizes. They did just remodel the place, and it looks better, but some things are still gross. Also somethings are heinously over-priced (Leather jackets!) I am not sure how the folks here price things, but why a patchy, torn up leather jacket would be $59.99 but a Calvin Klein one in good condition would be $9.99 is confusing and doesn't seem to benefit them much! When they have sales - ARRIVE EARLY - This place suffers from what I call the "border wave", where as tons of folks from Mexico come in and take EVERYTHING. They do not select things, they do not pick through them. They go through every aisle and literally take ten, twenty items at a time and dump them into their cart, three or four carts full and check out. That is really, really *NOT* fair, but I guess there's no stopping it. For the more adventurous thrift-finger, I'd try the Goodwill's of the area, but some of them are a little shady... While visiting El Paso for Christmas, I was delighted to find on my first day in town that they have a Savers there! I shop there locations when I visit back home in Southern California. I wish the New Orleans area would get one! Anyways, this El Paso location was pretty good. I left there with 4 really cool tops for under $20.00. Savers are cool because everything is organized much better than the average thrift store. Plus, they have 5-6 dressing rooms, so you can actually try things on. I am a huge fan of finding old video game consoles or just strange old things I can repurpose into other stuff. Savers has a huge selection of neat old stuff and a pretty friendly staff (which is one of the most important parts). I've been going there for years and will continue to do so. The only downside is the somewhat high prices considering it's all donated. You guys need to bring that down a little, there's no such thing as a high end thrift store! Of course it smelled a little a consignment shop(but let's get serious it's bound to smell like that), but the space was very well organized and clean, and the service was excellent. I stood in line for about a minute with just two items in my hand waiting for a customer to unload a full cart. An associate saw me and immediately opened a register to check me out. I am a plus sized woman, and options in thrift stores are usually limited. This store had some great stylish options, and the options that looked great but had damage were properly discounted. Also had a whole holiday section full of Halloween costumes and festive decor. Worth the long drive and being stuck in traffic on the way back home.
