I wanted a quick photo! We drove over early in the morning, before most of the shops even opened. This meant less people walking around and less cars coming in and out of the parking lot. To get a good photo of the entire wall, you have to step back and into the car path of travel. It's a mural, it was a nice photo op. Nothing really bad to say.

The man checking me out (a Hispanic guy who they said was the manager) didn't bag a single thing. He handed me each item to throw back into the cart--which you can't even take outside. When I asked if he could bag them, he said no, claiming he didn't have bags... even though they were right there and I had just seen him use them for other people. I bought over 10 items and had to bag everything myself while he just stood there watching. It was honestly humiliating doing that in front of everyone. Another employee came to help, but when I asked to speak to the manager, they said it was him--and he just ignored me completely, talking to someone behind the counter like I wasn't even there. I've worked in customer service before, and this was just not okay. When I asked for names to report what happened, they said they couldn't give them out "due to policy." I left feeling disrespected and embarrassed. Not the kind of experience anyone should have.

I tried a new snack at Frontera Coffee Co. It was fun to try something new even though I have visited the outlet mall many times. I felt so adventurous! Frontera is definitely eclectic. You can order coffee, tea, pastries, and items like elote or in my case loaded Doritos. The loaded Doritos were a medley of flavors: peanuts, queso, cucumber, jicama and more all in one bag! That said, I'm writing in hopes that corporate will see this, as their worker hygiene is absolutely horrible. My cashier repeatedly HACK-coughed into his right hand while checking our groceries, then proceeding to touch all of our lemons, avocados, cilantro bunches, etc. individually. I was absolutely horrified - during flu season, in a post-Covid world, no less. Thought about confronting him, or just leaving my groceries at the register and walking out, but the damage was quite literally already done, as within about 36 hours I developed congestion and a cough. Aside from it being gross, inconsiderate and unprofessional, I've got two little ones (a toddler and newborn, both of whom were right in front of him). He didn't seem like a bad person, just completely unaware, but that really isn't acceptable in this day and age. Good to know that shopping here may well be a super spreader event for whatever nasty virus is floating around, and God knows how many other shoppers he is infecting, but management really needs to do a Hygiene 101 for their workers.
