We visited this location on Thursday to check out their Black Friday deals. It wasn't too busy as we stopped by around 11:30 pm. As soon as we stepped in we had an employee quickly ask us if we needed help. I was in search of a good foundation and she took the time and showed me the ones she thought were good for my face. She sampled a few on me and we found the one that was right. I went with the Becca foundation which was about $45. I then went on to get a new mascara from benefit and some face powder from tarte. We had a different employee come on over to help us find those items and she then showed us the deals they had for Black Friday. This location is by far better then the Sephora locations that are inside the Cielo Vista mall. Employees are friendlier and the store is by far more organized. read more

False advertising and none of the discount signs are in the correct area. Horrible service. Most of the employees were not doing there job at just talking in the corners with one another. Manager was not doing her job and had the worst attitude. Will. Not be going back in the future. No one was supervising the fitting rooms and there was clothes everywhere the mirrors were very dirty only one person was working at the jewelry department the line was extremely long. I honestly thought the mall JCP was bad this one is awful between the fitting rooms being awful and gross..not to mention trash and a used dirty diaper in one. The racks are over stuffed even in the jewelry area it's just so hard to navigate through the place. The line although long went pretty quick But the cherry on top was when I was browsing the handbag section a manager came and pushed me out of the way then told the girl to move these X brand over to A brand area. The JCP at the mall maybe messy but at least the customer service is better. read more

This store used to be clean and a good majority of staff actually cared. Now...The store grossed me out. The floors are disgusting and dirty. There's merchandise on the floor. The store experience wasn't good either. I placed an online order for pickup and three employees got pissy over it. They said it wouldn't be ready until tomorrow. The website and email said today which is why I went in. I ordered 2 polo shirts for work. I ended up buying another polo shirt, blouse and a shirt for my son. They were on sale so I got them. The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because of the cashier I ended up with. She asked me if I found everything and if I was ok. I told her about what happened and she apologized. She sounded sincere instead of acting like the situation was my fault. The other three ladies I dealt with were not helpful and seemed annoyed. I could've easily paid with two of them but they didn't bother asking! They kept me waiting after being told to go for my order today. I won't be back for a LONG time, maybe never! So i think the biggest reason i like this spot is the fact that its further away from the border, thus there are less folks from Chihuahua who visit this spot. The jcp off Hawkins is almost always littered of people and stuff everywhere just carelessly thrown around. This spot though, its definitely less congested and more organized. Its smaller though so there is pretty much only 1 or 2 designated check out points on each floor. And i was looking for a particular bikini i saw at the other location and thought this place would have more if less folks come here. Boy was i wrong lol. They literally had only one rack worth left of bikinis and none of which i was looking for. Meh, no biggie. Still love this spot a tad bit more. Parking is also wayyy easier! No mall hagglers tryna steal your spot or having to wait on a parked car who is waiting on a parked car to finally leave. Those bozos grind my gears lol read more

I went to the salon @ JCP Joe Battle location. I clearly stated I only wanted a haircut. After the stylist talked to me about my hair, she asked me to go with her to the shampoo chair. I thought maybe you get a shampoo with a haircut, so I kept quiet; same thing when she decided to blow dry my hair. When she was done and I looked in the mirror, I thought "OMG! This is awful!" I asked her to take a tiny bit more off the bangs because, as we had discussed, when the hair starts falling on my forehead and parting, I know I need a haircut. People, I have short, baby fine hair - I just needed a little shaping. I do not wear bangs, nor do I wear a part. The biggest surprise was when I was told my bill was $45!!! I can go to WalMart and get a better haircut and it will cost me less than $20!!! read more

This is by far the worst JCPenny's I have ever been in.... If you are a big and tall guy you might as well look somewhere else. It looks like all they have left is close out clothes from years gone past. What a shame as I use to like shopping here. read more

Terrible return experience - I thought it would be easier to return an item I had ordered online to the store than to return it by mail. I had done so in the past without any problems, but this time was very disappointing. Instead of giving me credit on my VISA card, the clerk wanted to give me cash. Several phone calls later the clerk insisted I had to take cash because the transaction had already been "rung up". So now there is no credit on my VISA for the return, and I will have to take time off from work and drive quite a distance to my bank to make a $30 deposit. The sales are great, but returns are not worth the wasted time and trouble. read more

Immediately after purchasing a King size mattress, we went to JCP to purchase one set of the corresponding-size sheets. We quickly found them in the home section of the store and easily moved to the register. Friendly cashier Ariel rapidly rang up our sheets and sent us off with a great smile. I'm for sure not a mall shopper, so this stand-alone JCP was perfect, and Ariel was the perfect employee. She is a true credit to JCP! You would enjoy shopping here, too. read more
