I didn't even have lunch I was looking so forward to going back... I showed up AT 5 after calling and being told they open at 5. I waited OVER an hour for someone else to show up to get my food. After 40 min, the guy was like, "we will take care of you for waiting so long, promise" not only did they NOT "take care of me" dude didn't even tell the lady I wanted catfish before he left so that was another almost 10 min on top of the hour I had to wait! And then. I get three of THE smallest pieces of catfish I have ever paid for. Not cool. Won't be back for a looooonnnggg time.

It's a minor thing but it makes the wait go by fast and you never have to wonder if you should ask about the status of your order. So far we've tried the chicken strip basket and the potato salad, both were amazing! I am surprised but so so grateful we've got a place this good in Maricopa Forgot to mention that we found this place yesterday and we're already back tonight.

A few minutes later the food was brought out. I was very pleased that the enchiladas were packed with cheese! Every bite was delicious. My burger was only warm with barely melted cheese. The meat looked old and the patties were dry. It looked like an old piece of cheese was on the bottom patty. I'm guessing there was cheese on a patty in the warmer and they added fresh cheese in between that and the extra patty for my double. When did they start placing cooked patties in a warmer? I thought their burgers were made fresh to order! This was the worst tasting and looking burger I had at any Whataburgers'! My wife's burger was no better. I spoke with the manager and I guess once the patties are cooked, they cannot be stored in the warmer longer than five minutes. Well, my patties were definitely in the warmer longer than five minutes. Take a look at the pics. They don't get hard dark old looking edges in five minutes! They really deserved two stars, but I was lenient. This place is a hit and miss. I never had a problem at the Chandler location. The bark and smoke on the meat was beautiful. I thought the meat was a tad bit dry, my wife thought it was fine. Looking back at my pictures I think I got the leaner cut of the brisket. Saw others having an issue with the menu board location. They have a cashier off to the side and some people went to order at the trailer. Instead have the board near the cashier instead of the trailer. I think that would create a better flow. Future - MEAT PLATE YES!!
