The wings were also excellent--cooked just right, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the visit. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the service could have been a little better. It wasn't bad, but it felt a bit slow and could have been more attentive throughout the meal. I have to admit I haven't been much of a fan of Chegg in the very limited amount of visits I've had over the years. Recently some family members went for happy hour to watch a Phillies game, and they had a great time. We decided to give it another shot for happy hour. We really enjoyed ourselves and thought the value for what we ordered was outstanding. We arrived just after 5pm (happy hour weekly from 3-6) and were greeted by one of 3 bartenders who helped us throughout our visit (all 3 bartenders were great). I asked about their current down east cider on tap and she poured us a taster without having to request it. I ended up going with a happy hour dirty Kettle martini which ended up being super smooth. My wife had a Surfside, also on happy hour. The happy hour food consists of 1/2 price appetizers, fries, 10 piece boneless/bone-in wings and fingers. Drink wise it's $3 off all draft beer & house wine, $5 seltzers & teas, $7 margaritas, and $10 kettle & espresso martinis. I love a good deal and this is it! Chegg also has a fun Phillies special where each game there is a player of the game. If that player records a hit there are drink specials the remainder of the game! We ordered a bunch of food also on happy hour; Garlic Parm Boneless Wings, Fried Pickle Spears, Cheesy Bay Fries, and Bone-In Zapper Wings. I typically prefer smaller wings. These wings were on the bigger side and were meaty and juicy, but they were also crispy, cooked well throughout and not fatty. The wing sauce was really good! Very hot but not overbearing which is just what I was hoping for. The fried pickle spears were also a hit, and seemed to be breaded in house which is a huge plus if they were. The boneless wings were very good, however, we've had better Garlic Parm sauces elsewhere. Still nothing to complain about. After finishing my Dirty Martini I ordered a Jalapeño Margarita which was delicious. The bartender muddled jalapeño in the shaker prior to making the drink. It was limey and refreshing with a subtle jalapeño kick. Well worth the price tag and something I'd definitely order again. I finished up with one of my favorite all time beers, Tonewood Fuego (this drink not on happy hour). I mention this as all of this food and drink came out to ~$65. Again, value-wise I was impressed. I think Chegg has the potential to be great place to watch games. Their bar is very large with plenty of TVs throughout. They also have a great patio bar for beautiful days/nights. I'm sure during big Philadelphia sporting events the atmosphere is pretty great inside and out. I can definitely see myself coming back again for happy hour as the food and drink specials are great in my opinion. This was my first time at a Chegg happy hour. I still feel the prices are a bit high outside of happy hour. If you want decent bar food at a good price Chegg happy hour could be a place for you. read more

I went there twice in one week ! Everyone enjoyed their food including my kids who loved their kids meals . One had a burger the other had the Drummies ( chicken nuggets) . In my 2 visits had the bee sting wings and breakfast tacos my first time and then a chicken cheese steak with bee sting sauce and blue cheese my second. I LOVED the wings ! Outside of a traditional diner not sure where you can order a legit stack of pancakes and wings anyway you want them with your choice of hot and sweet sauces at the same time ( and a Ship Bottom beer on draft). We were seated quickly on a Saturday night even with the Flyers on and the food came out really fast which is solid for the little ones that may accompany you. We old timers from Beach Haven knew Chicken or the Egg as the somewhat bizarre breakfast/lunch joint that made customers sign a liability release before participating in a Ludicrous Chicken Wing Eating Contest. Many of us accepted the challenge and promptly lost our shit when the spice quotient was so off the charts that it blew out our mouths in flames. The newer CHEGG in Marlton is a lovely hangout, more sports bar than full blown wing spot, still capable of blowing you up, but less dependent on that gimmick to bring you in the doors. The menu is broad and deep, with plenty of choice any time of day. My son and stepson still wanted to try the killer wings, but were smart enough to order real food as well if the Ludicrous Wing contest fell apart, as it inevitably did. One had a Turkey Wrap, and the other a Standard Burger and French Onion Soup. Those five conflagrationary wings proved too much to consume even with multiple glasses of milk to extinguish the fire, came home as three, with full episodes of gasping, sweating, tearing, moaning and running to the restroom. Their other food was fine, if not exceptional, and my Farmers Breakfast Melt (eggs, sausage, ham, onion, pepper, cheese) in a bowl, actually a quite good first meal of the day. Better than I recall available in Beach Haven. So, the Marlton shop is an upgrade for sure, with plenty of space in either large barroom or separate dining areas. Colorful, loud rock, and friendly servers in black Ts, making the experience as attractive as possible. Although close to an hour from home in Bucks, worth the trip to Jersey for the fun and flames. We agreed we would come again, despite the $100+ price tag for the three of us without a bar tab. read more

I wasn't sure how much I'd like this place when I read about it, but it has turned out to be a pretty solid option, especially since it has a lot of outdoor/semi outdoor seating. Food is consistently pretty good, they have a pretty decent beer and drinks offering, and service is pretty good as well. The waffle is really good at any time of day. Despite the inside being empty, there was a wait (I'm assuming due to short staffing). I ordered the 10 wings with the ludicrous sauce. The waiter suggested I order one step down (the obscene) since the one I wanted is insanely intense to the point it isn't enjoyable. The obscene had a very strong kick and I did sample the ludicrous sauce and holy moley was that thing HOT. I'm so surprised by the amount of poor reviews on here! My friends and I came last night for dinner and drinks, we had an awesome experience. Our server Des was so sweet and kept checking on us to make sure we were good on drinks. Started with the nachos, which were great! Loaded with toppings and a perfect shareable. I got the BCW with their "Beesting" sauce (reminded me of a more mild version of hot and honey) which was delicious. The fries were perfectly crispy. Great drink menu with a lot of options on tap, good mixed drink menu as well. After our meal we hung out in the outdoor area where there were couches, fire pit seating, and cornhole. We spent a beautiful Mother's Day here with my brother, sister-in-law, niece and her boyfriend. The menu was extensive. It took us a long time to decide what to eat. I ended up just settling for a vegetable omlett. It was a good size with a side of home fries and toast. That was the only meal we had all day and it kept me full. The other meals were just as filling. The atmosphere of this place was beautiful. We sat outside on a sunny, 70 degree weather day. There were big screen TVs outside playing sports. We came in as a larger party and service was great!! 8 peoples orders and we did not wait a million years for food, drinks, boxes, or a bill. Food was solid, pancakes were a hit all around (blueberry, chocolate and jersey) and the cinnamon bun French toast is not to be missed for French Toast fans. Only thing that came up is a personal issue, not anything on establishment. My older son is ASD and it was louder than he liked but we solved this by getting his noise canceling headphones from the car. Although there is a bar right in front as you enter with multiple screens tuned to sports. That surprised me. We were seated quickly. Got a booth that seated the 6 of us comfortably. Probably best part of the experience. Food was meh, acceptable nothing to go back for. Better option for breakfast would be a diner such as Ponzios a few minutes West on Rt 70 and you can actually converse with one another. Service was good in spite of difficulty of server hearing us and us hearing him due to the blaring music. I asked the server about the loudness of the music and he said yes it made it difficult to hear the customers when they were ordering. I don't know about others, but when I go to a restaurant whether it be for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner I want to be able to hold a conversation with others in the group without having to yell across the table to be heard and even then we missed quite a bit of what was being said due to the volume. Even the 2 teenagers with us complained about the loudness. One of them suggested we immediately leave and go elsewhere before ordering. Music should be in the background adding a serene ambiance to the dining experience permitting the diners to converse with one another. If the music was not so overpowering I'd go back in spite of the mediocre average food. The staff was very attentive and on top of our orders.
