The har gow had plump shrimp inside thin, delicate wrappers, while the siu mai were generously filled and really satisfying. The xiao long bao had soft wrappers with that little burst of soup inside, and the bean curd skin rolls were silky and soaked up the savory sauce nicely. We also had the beef with silky scrambled egg and rice noodles, which was rich and comforting, with the soft egg almost becoming a sauce for the beef and noodles. The fried rice was darker and more intensely seasoned than the usual Cantonese fried rice, with bits of meat, egg and vegetables throughout. Even the stir-fried Chinese greens were done well, garlicky, fresh and still crisp. We ended with the pork buns, warm and fluffy inside with that sweet, crumbly golden crust on top. I also adore their iced cappuccino - there's just something yummy about it that is the best way to start the day (ironically as this place is next to a coffee shop). The wait staff are attentive and generally pretty friendly. They speak limited English but I always am able to communicate what I would like and they always get it right so we make it work. They have both indoor and outdoor seating so its great to have those options too. I really like this place, and would recommend it for family, friends, or any sort of group looking for some good, casual food.

Some of my favorites are the sweet and sour fried fish, braised lion's head, spicy beef in pungent sauce, and the fried prawns coated in salted egg yolk. From presentation to taste, the sweet and sour fried fish is thoughtfully prepared. The fish is succulent and fried in a batter that remains crispy in the sauce. The sweet and sour sauce is well balanced and really compliments the fish. I like the lion's head here because it's flavorful and not as fatty compared to other ones. There's just the right amount of fat in the meatball to create a very soft and tender texture while not making it overly greasy. The sauce that it's braised is also delicious and hearty. The spicy beef in pungent sauce is a family favorite. It's served boiling hot and extremely spicy! It comes with a ton of beef and Mung bean sheets. All the flavors are strong but delicious and warming in the winter. I have to say that the fried prawns in salted egg yolk are also my favorite. The size of the prawns here are impressive and they're cooked to perfection. They also don't skimp on the salted egg yolk. In our recent visit, we also tried the scallops with mushrooms and vegetables served in a truffle sauce. I was a little skeptical about the truffle sauce in a Chinese dish at first but it was delicious! I was mind blown by the different textures of the mushrooms, vegetables and scallops. That allowed me to taste more than ten dishes of their food. They all tasted great without much to complaint. And the bill ended up at 1500$ that fed about 12 big guys. I particularly loved the fish dish which they cooked the entire fish with spices and additional meats and mushroom on the it. It tasted great with lot of flavours while the texture was smooth at the meat and crispy at the skin and bones. In comparison to the Peking Duck, the duck was a bit too thick cut. Other dishes are not big, so you may try more dishes with our limited space of our stomach. The service was attentive, even during the busy lunch hour with a lot of tables to fill, the waiting staffs gave us lot of attention to clearing our plates and even changing our dining plates as well. For the price of 100$ to 200$ per person, I think the overall service was outstanding. However, there is still room for improvement. For food, although they all tasted wonderful, I have a feeling that some of them could be better, such as the peking duck. As for service, if they are to welcome us verbally, I think they should have done it with greater enthusiasm. Anyhow, I will come back when I ever need to drop by in the weekend.

Greyhound Cafe is a franchise originated from Thailand and now in Hong Kong. Food is Thai Fusion. So you will find quite an interesting menu but the flavour profile is mainly Thai. This has become one of my family favourite place for gathering and of course I ended up coming here when I am in town. Reservation highly recommended as the restaurant is small and you will have 90 minute window to enjoy your meal. We tried quite a few items with some hit and miss. Just be warned they uses fresh thai chili pepper to season quite a bit and if you cannot eat spicy, there are non spicy dish that you might enjoy more. Spaghetti Cha Cha Cha ($128) seems to be the crowd favourite. Chicken Satay was meh... and the raw vegetables skewers that came with it was fail. You must not miss dessert! Mango Sticky Rice and Pandan layer cake both really good! They also offers Afternoon Tea Set which is much better value than dinner a la carte.
