Maleana Gardens

Maleana Gardens

I will start with, words will never be able to fully describe how magnificent everything was with…read moreour fairytale wedding at Male'Ana Gardens. The property: The Garden itself is the most enchanting place I have ever experienced. The flowers are so beautiful and vibrant. They simply made every detail so much more beautiful. You can tell just how much love and care is poured into that piece of land. It's like every corner you turn is a different photo opportunity. I had a very simple wedding gown and the flowers/ greenery made it pop in the photos. Seriously the place is right out of a storybook and you and your bride/groom are the prince and princess. The bungalow- at first we weren't going to stay because I was trying to pinch my pennies. But I'm glad we changed our mind. The pictures simply don't do justice. It is so stinking cute! And they have everything inside for you. Sooo much room for everyone to get ready! There is the cutest little indoor patio that looks into the garden! We woke up and grabbed coffee/breakfast (literally Next doors) and just enjoyed the breath taking garden. Of course the convenience- We were so tired after the wedding so it was nice to just put everything we were taking inside and deal with it the next day. Like the left over food /drinks/ the cake/florals... Our guests were tired too so we didn't want them taking stuff either. You will realize that there is a lot more to take home than you think. Especially after spending the entires day there getting ready and having fun with your people. When they say it's close to the beach, it is CLOSE! And not just like any part of the beach, it's next to this really beautiful opening that isn't crowded. We walked right down to the beach for pictures after the ceremony and also the next day just to enjoy the sight. The service: We started planning our destination wedding summer 2019 in hopes of being married summer 2020. Then Covid... Cheri was very happy to move our date to a few months later then of course covid cause more and more shut downs. As time went on Cheri helped to reschedule our wedding date 4 times! With no hassle to us at all. She simply accommodated! We were provided with a wedding coordinator (which you definitely need for a destination wedding) she was AMAZING! In those 2 years she stayed in touch with us every step of the way from updating us on the Hawaii covid conditions (shut downs/requirements). She also stayed in contact with our vendors, sent us updated preferred vendor lists as they were added. -The Vendor list is really great! I am bad at trusting people so naturally I also searched for my own vendors outside of the list to see if I would find something better. What a HUGE waste of time that was. Hawaii is sooo expensive compared to Texas. I can assure you that The businesses they have chosen have top notch customer service and literally the most fair pricing. We didn't have to worry about set up or break down of ANYTHING! Everything was taken care of by Male'Ana Gardens. And just an example- I walked inside the bungalow and they even had our cake wrapped and ready for storing/transport. Other places simply don't do that. Last thing, these people care. - we went to Maui a few days later, the news said there was a Tsunami watch because of the earthquake in Alaska. We freaked out. I didn't know what to do. At 9pm I text Cheri (the owner) because we were scared and we haven't never experienced the possibility of something like this. She called me, she talked me down, her and Scott told us what to look for and what to do if it became a threat. (Luckily it didn't) You won't find this level of hospitality anywhere else

The getting-ready space was peaceful and beautiful, setting the perfect tone for the day, and every part of the venue--from the ceremony site to the dinner setup and beyond--was breathtaking. Kellie, Cheri, and all the vendors were warm, attentive, and made everything feel effortless. Their kindness and attention to detail really helped us relax and enjoy every moment. If you're looking for a venue that's stunning and feels like home, Male'ana Gardens is it. We couldn't have imagined a more perfect place to celebrate!

I saw many mixed reviews but I personally enjoyed my time on this course!!! The views, sounds,…read moreeverything was phenomenal. It was peaceful and the pace was a bit slow but everyone was courteous of others. My husband (the actual golfer in this relationship) said he thought it was only alright for the price you pay. He said it's beautiful scenery but they don't do a good enough job sainting the greens. I will say, it also poured down that day. If it wasn't for us arriving after the storm passed, they would've rescheduled us. We paid: $200 per golfer $80 to be a rider $80 rental $30 ball rental $100 Royal Hawaiian golf shirt $60 per golf hat They had a two person per golf cart policy. So if you're a single rider and it's a busy day you might be paired up. The golf cart was nice because it told you how far your in yardage your ball was, it had Bluetooth to play music from your phone, and a GPS. The course is huge so these were all great functions that added to the experience. ALSO, There was tons of wildlife throughout the course that we took pictures of!!!! If you loose your balls you're cooked, it's literally like golfing in the jungle. Overall, we'll check out another golf club whenever we go back. We had fun, but it was good for a one time visit.

Royal Hawaiian Golf Course is one of the most beautiful courses on the Windward side, but don't let…read morethe scenery fool you... this course is no joke. The fairways are narrow, there are drop-offs everywhere, and accuracy is absolutely critical. Bring your A-game because if you're slightly off the tee, you'll be searching for golf balls all day. I would strongly recommend bringing extra balls because this course can be unforgiving. What makes the challenge worthwhile is the breathtaking scenery. The course is surrounded by lush mountains and tropical landscape that make every hole feel amazing. If you're looking for a challenging round of golf in one of the most scenic settings in Hawaii, Royal Hawaiian should definitely be on your list. I'll be back soon.

Inside, it looks like an ordinary golf course restaurant. Comfortable seating and a gorgeous view of Kailua and the Lanikai Pill Box hiking trail. They actually have a good looking menu with a little bit of everything, from appetizers to desserts, and everything in between. Our table had a bunch of appetizers, fried chicken wings, shrimp tempura and coconut shrimp, cold tofu, soy beans, and kalbi. Or entrees varied from, what I could see, Kobe beef sliders, fish tacos, Reuben or corned beef sandwiches, I had the Shrimp Bahn Mi Bao, which came with 3 sweet, Chinese style buns, filled with a fried shrimp, topped with pickled carrot and daikon, and a little Chinese parsley, and a handful of fries. This was really refreshing and tasty! Dessert, there was a variety of watermelon sorbet, bread pudding, and I had a afrogotto, I'm probably spelled it wrong, but it's vanilla ice cream topped with espresso, very good!

All the staff, carts, snack stand, groundskeepers and pro shop staff were excellent. Attentive, professional, friendly, helpful and courteous. After the round of golf, had a late lunch/early dinner at the restaurant. Restaurant staff were excellent as well. Great views of the course, clean and comfortable. Ordered the boeuf bourguignon, fish and chips and Hawaii plate. For dessert the baked Hawaii. All were prepared perfectly and Absolutely delicious. The baked Hawaii was to die for.So good! Michelin star worthy! Compliments to the chef! Highly recommend.
