Mahalo to the staff at Key Project! We had our daughter's graduation party here and everything was perfect. It's the perfect spot to hold an event especially for the price. There's everything you need from the stage, chairs, tables and clean restrooms. Staff goes above and beyond to help with whatever you need and are so family oriented.

I was very amazed by the professionalism and kindness of the staff while at the car show held at Key Project. I attend a lot of car shows and this has been the best experience bar none. The facility is the best in so many ways,... the location is perfect, especially how the trade winds kept the place cool and the back drop is absolutely picturesque. The restrooms were exceptionally clean with more stalls than other places that holds twice the amount of people. Again your staff is absolutely a class act. I hope to see more car show events here in the future. Also, I have spoken with nearly all the people that attended and they all shared the same sentiment. Mahalo Nui.'

    1st birthday pā'ina setup

Partnering with Kalae at Key Project made the preparation for our event (1st birthday) so easy. He and his team were easy to reach via phone and email with quick responses whenever we had questions leading up to our event. Kalae and Uncle David ensured that we had everything available to us the day of. I grew up attending many events and parties at Key Project; so it was a special moment to have our baby's first birthday here as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

But I never stepped in here until just recently. In my office, many colleagues buzz about their Show and Sell event, a bazaar that is held quarterly. I love these events because you can pick up homemade goodies, plants, crsfts, books, home goods and knick knacks, while supporting our Kupuna. Built in 1969, LMPSC is State owned facility that is operated by Catholic Charities Hawaii. It holds various functions but primarily offers a venue for our senior citizens for events, activities and gatherings. LMPSC boasts as Hawaii's largest senior center in the state. My colleagues would rave over the Show and Sell event that is held quarterly here. I made it an effort to attend as it's for a good cause to support our Kupuna and I love buying homemade treats and plants. The event starts at 8am but was advised to go earlier as popular items like plants go quickly. Upon arrival I immediately found the plants section and scored 2 that appealed to me. There are many rooms and hallways with all sorts of items for sale. I even found a nice collar shirt for just $5. Score!!! I then made my way over to the food area where the smell lured me over. There were a handful of ajumma cooking away that also got my attention. Mandoo, chop chae, kimchi pancake and homemade kimchi. Mmmmm...... My eyes landed on the baked goods area where I had a hard time deciding what to get. I ended up with homemade almond cookies, energy bars and Chex party mix. I checked out and realized I spent quite a bit of $$$. I'm supporting our Kupuna so it's all good. The only setback is that this facility could sure use an upgrade. It has seen better days. With Hawai'i's aged population growing at quick rate, it would be nice to give this place a more modern look. Overall, an above average first experience and looking forward to the next Show and Sell event that will be in August 2025. Stay tuned! NOTE: I ended up returning later in the morning as my colleagues mentioned prices are slashed 30min prior to closing. Most of the vendors were wrapping things up and some already left but there were a few stalls that reduced their prices but with a limited selection to choose from.

From the moment you arrive, you are treated with the utmost respect. People living with dementia really need their self-esteem because there's part of them that realizes that he can't remember things that just happened. both my mother-in-law and my uncle were very hesitant to go to a daycare. I drop them off at around 9 AM and pick them up just after lunch. I figured that it would be too long of a day to keep from eight hours. Well, I was wrong. They both did not want to leave. They quickly made friends and clearly did not want to leave at all. This is a Friday afternoon. On Saturday my mother-in-law called me asking when am I picking her up to take her to day care. LOL. Besides activities, like current events, sing-along, seating exercise, And special games like balloon volleyball, hangman, Wii golf, and Wii bowling. they also played blackjack and do puzzles. But the best thing about Live Well at Iwilei is hands down the food! do you see this center is run by Kahala Nui. The chef is amazing. The clients dying on some fantastic food. During special holidays like this past Chinese new year, the clients get to partake in the lion dance then eat scrumptious Chinese food like dim sum, fried noodles, pork hash, and rice cake. The same goes for Obon season. They have sushi, noodles, more Chico chicken and many more. I would highly recommend this place for your loved ones. If you were looking for just a half a day or a full day of day care give them a call. Lynn Wong the manager there will make you feel right at home and will put your love ones at ease.

Located in Kailua in the same parking lot as St. Christopher's church, WSDC is a nice, clean and convenient center. What I like about them is they don't lock you in a commitment like other places do. You can go once a week or every day if you'd like and it's only $65 a day, which includes lunch, a few drinks & snacks, activities from 7:30am-5pm. Additional fees for after 5pm. They have quite few bathrooms, TV resting room with recliners, kitchen, a main room with music and tables and they have the chairs around the table so the Seniors can chat with each other. They give drinks, lunch and 2 snacks a day and 2-3 activities a day. They do have an outdoor garden where they can sit outside, but the helpers are at a 6-1 ratio, so they don't get to get up as much as I'd like mt Dad to. The staff is nice, CPR trained and one is a retired Surgical nurse. Their fairly new director Allison Bean is amazing! She is very caring, professional, knowledgeable and has an extent background in the Senior Healthcare business. Ample parking near the fire station and conveniently 5 minutes from Kailua town and shops. I would reccomend this place if you you ate looking for a Senior day care for a loved one.

She enjoys this new place, although the drive is a little farther for us she has a little more interaction, the nurses/care givers are pretty cool from what I can see.

The center also offers classes for the caregivers from time to time. The facility is clean and air conditioned with a good staff-client ratio. The clients seemed happy. My dad loved the food! My Nana goes there, and we call it "the club" She can get 2 meals a day there and can pick from Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. The caregivers are kind and very nice to her and from what we can tell, the other club members. They do activities through the day, they have television for those who would prefer to watch it, crafts, and learning activities (brain stimulation). I really liked the fact that it is not a center to dump people at....there is an application process, necessary TB testing and other health clearances which helps us know that Nana won't come home with something funky. Nothing bad to say about this place...they are great and we are grateful for the service they provide and the social atmosphere that my "socialite" Nana loves.

But it was really nice and clean. They have water at a sink and many hand sanitizers around. There is no animal products consumed on site so if you happen to have a party, eat offsite or offer to go bentos. They are working on expanding with a learning center but that seems to be an expense just out of reach. Consider donating while you are there or from the comfort of your own home. There is also a spa experience on site that allows you get a massage in nature. It's on the opposite side of the picnic/tent/birthday area but doesn't start until 12 and we were out of there by then. Overall, a really great experience. We learned about each animal, how they got there, and feed them. The founders really care for animals and it comes out in every volunteer there. Parking is on the side of the road but there is a good amount. The entrance is through the gate on pulama road right before the turn.
