I've been living here for 10 days now and I think I have enough data points to write an update. Move In: First off, the move in was extremely smooth. They kept the garage door and an elevator reserved and open for us to get all our stuff it. They also provide multiple carts and dollies of different sizes that are super useful to move furniture in. Staff: The staff here at the Century is extremely friendly. They are very quick and responsive to your needs and always go out of the way to help you. Chris is ready to drop whatever he's doing to resolve your problem, Genevieve was very helpful when I needed an urgent print out and my printer hadn't been set up yet. Marco was the one who showed us our apartment and helped us make our decision within an hour. He was very gracious in repeatedly showing my wife and me 3 apartments that we were considering until we could make up our mind. Matt is the manager and a solid guy. Apartments: The apartments are huge. Honestly they are some of the largest I've seen in/around downtown especially for the price. They have the latest modern stainless steel appliances, beautiful well thought out floorplans and loads of storage space. There are lots of plug points in every room that make it convenient to connect devices. The hardwood flooring is easy to clean. They have lights in all the rooms and a central console to control the heat/air conditioning. Huge windows that open all the way provide loads of natural night and ventilation. The apartments on the west also have a beautiful view of the space needle. Easily the best apartment I've lived in so far in the Seattle area. Amenities: The rooftop lounge is awesome. There are comfortable couches around the TV which were great to watch the SuperBowl in. They also have lots of couches, chairs and tables spread across the room. Because of the fast internet, you will often find folks working/studying there as they enjoy the gorgeous view. They also have gas stoves, an oven, a microwave, kitchen counters and a fridge + freezer which makes it nice to host a part there. The second lounge on the roof is a little smaller but is awesome for smaller groups to enjoy quick meals and play board games. They also have a lot of gas fire grills and chairs on the which I'm sure will be very useful in the summer. Every set of seating on the roof has it's own fireplace so it's nice to stay warm at night. The gym is extremely well equipped with every kind of machine imaginable and is one of the best I've seen at any apartment in Seattle. It's open 24x7 so you can always plan to avoid the evening rush(which isn't honestly much). They also have a nice movie theater that can seat 12 in a very comfortable manner. Pets: I've seen a few folks with dogs here. They have a part of the roof designated as a dog play area so it's super cute to see them running around there. There's absolutely no nuisance from them in common areas so it's all good. Parking: Parking like most places in downtown is a little tight and pretty expensive. On the positive side though, it's covered, assigned spots and there's 2 gates you need to get through to reach your spot so it's very secure. Overall I would very highly recommend The Century to anyone looking for a new home. Absolutely loved every single thing about it and I'm really glad to be living here. read more

The Century is not your typical apartment complex. It is the first apartment I've lived in where the staff treats the residents better than the potential residents. I've lived here for over a year and can't see myself moving. My review is based on a 1 bedroom with den apartment. Location: The Century has a great location with easy access to 5 & 99. For most of the past year I worked in Renton and getting in and out of the city from this location was not bad at all. I now work in SLU and walking to work has been amazing. Safety: There are homeless people around the area but that is to be expected with the area. With that being said, I have never felt unsafe coming home late at night. There are security guards that monitor the building and two gates to get to the parking area. For the few incidents that have happen, the staff sent out an email with the details and what they were doing to make sure it never happen again. The complex also has a community feel and no one lets strangers in. We all know that we need to use the key to get in and not to have someone hold the door. This isn't out of lack of hospitality, it's how we are all keeping each other safe. Apartment Layout & features: I love my apartment. One of the best features is the cabinet space in the kitchen. I moved from a house to an apartment & I was very concerned that there wasn't going to be enough storage space but that isn't the case with all of extra storage in the kitchen. The apartment also keeps heat very well. I have never turned on the heat but I have used the A/C! I don't know how to bold A/C but it was a gift this past summer. Another awesome feature is the heater in the bathroom. I didn't even know I needed this feature but I'm glad it's there. Staff: There aren't enough kind words for the staff. They really are great. The building is small enough that they never make you feel like just an apartment # but big enough to provide great community events. This building gets a lot of packages and the staff goes out of their way to make sure you get your package even if you can't make it home in time before the office closes. read more

I have lived in more than ten apartments in the last five years - this is a great building! The staff at the leasing office really make a difference and to echo other reviews treat the residents really well. The apartment itself is the nicest we saw when apartment hunting in Ballard, Capitol Hill, Downtown and Belltown. There are great appliances, great views, great internal heating/AC systems, essentially zero neighbor noise and great common areas. Typically I have discounted common areas as worthless, but at this building they are rarely crowded and people are respectful. Maintenance comes immediately when you let the leasing office know there is something you need fixed. It's walking distance from downtown where I work. My husband and I would buy our apartment and live here forever if we could. read more

Nothing but great things to say about living here and my experience! Staff - shout out to Pascal who has been amazing since the beginning. He took the time to show me the apartment via facetime, since I moved from out of state which helped make a transition to a sight unseen apartment much easier. Everything has gone smooth from the time I moved in until now, no complaints and nothing but great things to say (and I am PICKY!). Everyone on staff is extremely happy, smiles, and a pleasure to talk to and see every day which is really nice. Building- this is the cleanest building I have lived in ever. I constantly come home from work in the morning to see the cleaning staff cleaning the common areas/lobby/elevator so much that it 'smells' clean. I have lived in many complexes with pets, and have witnessed 'accidents', I haven't seen any pet urine or droppings anywhere in the building/elevator, or even on the grounds. This means to me that they respect the tenants, and also the resident pet owners respect fellow tenants who live there as well. With so many pets these days, this is huge. The grounds are maintained as well by staff. Apartment/maintenance- the apartment itself is amazing. Lots of space and tons and tons of storage/closet space which is hard to find and important especially for the lady tenants. I have had a few minor things requiring maintenance and they are taken care of very quick same or next day. Shout out to Roger and the entire team who are always happy to come to work, say hi, are smiling and in a good mood and never annoyed to come take a look at something. Filters are also changed regularly which is great. I have nothing but amazing things to say. I work nights, this building is so quiet in the day despite the occasional maintenance or cleaning on the rooftop ( live on top floor), and I don't hear anything from my neigbours at all its like i don't have any and i barely even see people on my floor. Amenities - The building location is amazing, busy but so convenient to walk anywhere. So close to the space needle and imax theatre, shops, hidden gem restaurants, great roof top with loungers and bbq's, a gym and a VIEW. Great downtown location on a quiet corner. There are always fun events going on, Pascal and the staff make it very interactive for residents with cool fun ideas and theme nights. There is always some kind of food or treat to enjoy, and its a nice thoughtful bonus. Packages- I order a lot of stuff and have never had anything go wrong with getting my packages or anything going missing it is very secure. Either it goes into the amazon locker, mailbox or is delivered to your apartment which is a great feature. This is a common complaint and i've had bad experiences in other apartments with this so this is huge too. Overall, this is a great building to live in and has been a very positive experience for me. I loved living at The Century! The location was great; I was able to walk to work, grocery stores (including Whole Foods), and you have easy access to downtown and bus lines. The units themselves are modern, sound-proof (mostly) and the building has AC. The office and maintenance staff are all super friendly and helpful. The only reason I left is I relocated out of state (in May 2019) for a new job. If I ever move back to Seattle, this is definitely where I would live. read more

I highly recommend the Century! The apartments are spacious with beautiful finishes, the location is amazing and the best part is the staff! Everyone in the staff and leasing team is so kind and they make you feel home. We had a great time living there and enjoyed every day at the community. The team hosts events, programs, brings food trucks to support local business, takes care of residents (even when there is heavy snow and they clear the path, salt pathways to make sure everyone is safe). Since my first interaction with John who helped me find an ideal home and sign the lease I received amazing support! It was definitely the best resident experience I ever had! Century is One of the best apartment in Seattle. I have been living here around a year now, infact I renewed my lease recently. Why Century? in general they care a lot of about residents, cleanliness, good maintenance, high end appliances , value for money , with closer proximity to everything in downtown. Specially the leasing staff are one of the best I have ever seen. I must say Pascal and his team are really friendly, approachable, available most of the time (Monday till Sunday). Pascal and his team makes sure residents are first priority. Century maintenance again is one of the the best I have ever seen. Very clean, well maintained, on time, very supportive. I was one of the first few ones to move into Century in a one bedroom- in the third week of its opening; if I weren't to relocate to California, I would still be living @Century, but in a 2 bed apartment. Everything about this place is amazing - extremely professional yet warm staff, well thought and optimized floor plans, super quick maintenance services, scenic rooftop (best place to be for Space Needle's new years fireworks) and the list goes on. Certainly way better (Overall package) than other properties I toured in the area. My car was to be picked up by moving company after I had moved and Pascal was utterly supportive - he just took care of everything. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a warm cozy place from where everything is walking distance. Keep up the good work. read more

I absolutely love these apartments! The layout & design of the units are amazing and the rooftop has, by far, the best views in Seattle. Everything about the building looks and feels high class & clean while still being affordable. The property manager, Pascal, and his staff are always so friendly and happy to address any needs or concerns I have. I've had bad experiences with property management in the past so it's been refreshing to have such a helpful & approachable staff at this location. tl;dr this is a wonderful apartment building and you will love living here. :) The cards finally fell into place for my move (escape?) from Dallas to Seattle very quickly and I had only a couple of days to rent an apartment here sight unseen, relying on reviews like this one. I've lived in the Century for almost two months now and wanted to give my take on the place to pay it forward! - I second everyone's praises of the management overall and Pascal in particular. They've been helpful, responsive, patient, and caring in every single interaction. When recently some new heavy furniture of mine arrived from Wayfair, Pascal not only made sure it got to my apartment but also double-checked that the movers didn't either squish or let loose my overly curious dog. - The location is amazing - a couple of minutes' walk to the Seattle Center, close to downtown, Whole Foods 15 minutes away, Walgreens around the corner. Also, a glass-blowing studio, for when you need to appease your inner Chihuli. - Dog-friendly! The small off-leash Denny Park is less than 10 minutes away. And the owner of a fantastic dog-walking business, Belltown Dog Walker, lives in the building. - Great sound insulation. You can see (but not hear) the monorail from my window and even though my neighbors have 2 small babies, I was only once barely able to make out their crying through the wall. - Everything is new and a little intimidatingly high-tech. Electronic keys?! European washer and dryer? Me so fancy. - Impeccably clean. - Great layout. Even though I've had to downsize to a studio for the first time in my life (everything was bigger in Texas....), every foot of the space is used wisely and I still have a walk-in closet and a full bath. The only minor downside I can think of is parking, which is very tight - but, apparently, still bigger than average in Seattle. Sigh. So go on, leave your F-350 behind and come be our neighbor! read more

The apartments are comfortable and modern, but we really love the rooftop patio for grilling or just hanging out. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and responsive. The maintenance people are very helpful and have gone above and beyond in helping us resolve every minor issue we've had, from burned out lights to loose drawers. They also keep the property clean and comfortable. They definitely live up to the motto of "Quietly awesome." read more

UPDATE: Almost 2 years in and I wouldn't change a single thing! It's amazing how everything I've mentioned in my previous review still holds true. I continue to see improvements in the building and it was already hella good! The Century staff always put a smile on my face, whether it was a simple welcome home message when I come through the front door or a mini cuddle session for my dogs right before our walks. Speaking of dogs, the Century is a very welcoming community for people who love or don't love dogs. As a dog owner, I see many dogs in the building regularly and I have NEVER, EVER met an aggressive dog. Some dogs are more shy and some are more outgoing/excitable, but NEVER aggressive towards humans or other dogs. The building staff are also very aware that some people may not be that comfortable in the presence of dogs so we get emails regularly reminding us to keep our dogs on leash at all times inside the building and to keep a good distance from other people and dogs. During this pandemic, I was genuinely and pleasantly surprised that the staff took action so quickly to send out emails and put up signs regarding social distancing recommendations AND to install hand sanitizer stations in the lobby. I see maintenance staff refilling those hand sanitizer dispensers almost every single day and I'm honestly so glad to have them always available during this time of shortage. Elevator buttons, door handles, call boxes, pretty much every single thing you might touch gets sanitized on a regular and very frequent basis. Honestly, it just feels like the Century staff really care and I'm so glad to have found such a nice place to call home. Considering all the benefits I've mentioned above and below, I would 100% recommend this place to anyone and everyone! I love where I live! I could not ask for a better management and maintenance team! They are some of the kindest and most capable people I know and they're always here to help with anything I need! The lease signing process was very swift and simple. The building has lots of awesome amenities and is kept very clean and beautiful. The apartments are very modern and well designed. The deck on the roof has a sick view of the Space Needle and plenty of grills for outdoor BBQ. There are lots of fun events being organized so you can meet your neighbors (and their adorable fur babies). Moved in to The Century a week ago. Notwithstanding the gorgeous apartments, well-designed communal spaces and thoughtful amenities, the best part about The Century is something you can not see in a photo. It's the management team that truly makes living here a terrific experience. Vy, who handled our lease signing and move-in was great--responsive, transparent and kind. Although we've only interacted briefly in our week here, both Pascal and Jerrel have been warm, welcoming and patient (despite inundating them with packages). Roger and Mike, who oversee maintenance at the building, have been quick to respond and very thorough. Overall, we are so thankful that we moved into The Century and, most importantly, that we get to interact with such a lovely and caring management team every day. read more

Love living here! Pascal, John and the rest of the team provide excellent customer service and go out of their way to make your experience as a resident top notch. They're always available and make it a point to get to know you rather than letting you feel like just another renter in their building. This is the best apartment building I've ever lived in. The apartments are designed well to optimize the space and are very quiet. Our apartment is right by the elevator and even when I'm working night shifts I can sleep during the day without hearing any building noise. The staff does a wonderful job - including the maintenance staff and the leasing office staff, and they make a point to get to know you. It's very dog-friendly, and our dog loves walking by the leasing office for a treat! The rooftop deck and amenities are great and come with an awesome view of the Space Needle. After having a horrendous experience living at a building managed by Grey Star, living here has been a luxurious experience. An exceptional experience. We visited and considered a half dozen places but decided on The Century because of 1) the professionalism and courtesy of the staff. They are friendly, personable, and they know youby name. If you have a repair or concern, they address it right away. Maintenence staff is fantastic. Everything is always *clean and working--be it in your apartment or in community areas. You can tell the staff work hard to build a sense of community too with regular events--coffee or snacks, little meet and greets on a weekend morning or holiday. 2) the amazing amenities --1 large community room, theatre, a really lovely rooftop patio, the biggest dog run, gym, storage option 3) the convenience (walking distance to Seattle Center, SLU, BellTown, Westlake. So close to buses and link. No need for the car anymore.) There's also a dry cleaning pickup and delivery service. 4) the safety. Security guards at night, doors always locked even during the day. Residents must have their key to get in during business hours. It's well lit and surrounded by a busy street on one side and apartment buildings and businesses. No issues with homeless so far. Mail is secure and packages delivered straight to your door, so no hassle of trying to sign in or out or wait for business hours for pickup. Parking garage is very safe with double gates. 5) Dog friendly. Many people here have dogs of all sizes. Very few young children. With that in mind, the pet owners are all very responsible and thoughtful, and they keep their dogs on leash all throughout the building. If your pet has an accident, you clean it up. If someone doesn't, they can (and have been fined). Everyone cleans up after their dog after it does its business in the dog run area. There's also tub/dog wash area in the garage. This is a pricey place but you get what you pay for. read more

This is a belated review. We stayed with Century for one and a half years, moved out last year. We have lived in multiple apartments around downtown area. Hands down Century is the best out of all of them! It was a brand new building when we moved in. The common area was clean and entertaining. My favorite one was the pac-man machine. Having AC was another plus. You can hardly find anything you don't like about the building itself. But the reason for me to love this place was the great management team. The staffs are super friendly. Maintenance was always on time. They even delivered packages to our door when we had urgent needs. Our move out process was very smooth. They were flexible with our time frame. They charged reasonable cleaning fee. If not for getting our own place, I would have stayed with Century! read more

I love living here at The Century - beautiful building, great location, and wonderful staff. I've lived here for almost 2.5 years and don't have any plans to move. Pascal Coufal and his staff (Jerrel, Vy, and Adriana) have fun resident get togethers going on every month - from wine tastings and grilled cheese nights, seasonal events, to this month's macaron baking class. On the very rare occasion I've had a maintenance issue, Mike and his staff (Dan, Roger, and Ben) are quick to resolve the issue. I can say I've never gone 24 hours without my need addressed. One area I'm acutely aware of is the dog run. The residents in the building have a strong love of animals and with all the dogs, the dog run has the potential to become dirty. Dan makes sure it is in tip top shape every day. I, for one, am thankful for his attention to this area. Move here - you'll love it! read more

I've lived in the Century for 2 months and couldn't be more impressed with the facilities and staff. I first lived there in corporate housing for a relocation, but liked it so much that I decided to make it my permanent home. The primary reason is the staff. They are incredibly friendly, helpful, and really make you feel like you're home when you see them. I love that the office/desk is staffed 7 days per week (9a-6p), and that on-site security is there the rest of the time. The maintenance staff is just as good. I've had a few small issues that needed some attention, and in both cases they were responsive and handled them immediately. I love the package delivery to the apartment door, as well. The building itself is great. Nice gym (2nd floor), theatre (1st floor), 9th floor common area, and rooftop deck. The rooftop has great views of the sound, Lake Union, mountains, and the Space Needle. I like the neighborhood, as well. It's a 2 minute walk to a few pizza places, Thai restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Very easy access (less than a block) to the 3, 4, and 8 bus lines, and a few blocks to D, E, and other lines. The only negative I can call out is the noise level of the neighborhood. It's in the middle of the city, along a busy street (Denny), so the traffic and siren sounds are probably to be expected. Fat City German Auto makes a bit of noise during the day (high volume beeps as cars enter/exit the garage). I've gotten used to it, but if one works from home, sleeps during the day, or has very small children I'd probably stay away from the first 6 floors on the southwest quarter of the building. Other than that I've had no concerns about the Century. read more

The century is a nice apartment complex that is relatively new; however, the management practices make me not recommend this to others. When moving in you think you are getting a great deal by only paying a $300 deposit. However, this is just a smart business practice on their part because when you move out (you can see this is other reviews too) you will likely be charged to repaint the entire unit, as well as anything else they can charge you for. If you live there less than 3 years you will be paying for a fresh coat of paint because they repaint before every new tenant moves in. Now since you only paid a $300 deposit you will owe them money instead of them withholding your deposit. Therefore, going to small claims court is not an option because they will report you to the credit agencies after 30 days. So your options are to pay, or take a hit to your credit report while you wait for your case to be heard in small claims court. The management defines "normal wear and tear" as if the apartment is not lived in for 3 years that is what it should look like. However, this is not a definition that anyone else I talked to uses to determine normal wear and tear. Furthermore, in Washington, if they repaint every unit before someone moves in anyways they are not supposed to charge the tenants for this, but that is besides the point. When I went to do the final walkthrough the property manager started laughing as I walked up to the door, and whispered something into the assistant property managers ear. He did not even bother coming outside for the walkthrough and sent the assistant property manager to do it. She told me since over 50% of the walls had damage (we had to turn on the lights and get low to the ground to see the "damage") that a full repaint was required. The damage to the walls faint scratch marks and light scuff marks form furniture. There was one wall that had damage from hanging command strips which I was fine with paying for. The assistant property manager said in the same sentence that she was not an expert in determining what needs to be repainted; however, then said it is impossible to just paint one spot on a wall so if one scratch is on the wall they repaint the entire wall. The other incident that happened with the management is that I booked the guest suite over the 4th of July. I paid the cost to reserve it and went out of town without my laptop for a week. There was a holiday fee I needed to pay which was fine; however, after 3 days the property manager threatened to send me to collections if I did not pay immediately. This was a bit ridiculous considering I had already paid $1200 to reserve it and the holiday fee was another $200. Also, they could have just said they will cancel my reservation if I do not pay, but no they love to threaten you with collections. The only reason I could not pay it as soon as he emailed me was due to not having my laptop on vacation, and their website is not mobile friendly at all. If you do live at any of Pillar Properties locations, I suggest living there for at least 3 years or not actually moving into the unit because that is the only way you will not be charged for paint. If you are going to live there for more than 3 years then maybe it is fine, but any less than that and you will be paying for new paint. It seems like this is common throughout all of their locations and not just the century, so I don't think the people who work at the century are bad at their job, but likely just taking direction from the corporate office. You should really provide the "move out" sheet when people move in so they know all of the charges they could have. Most of the residents here seem to live there for multiple years which is why they likely never face any of these issues. If you are planning on only staying for a year make sure you watch out for this, because it really sucks to pay that much money when you move out on top of moving expenses for moving into a new property. read more

I absolutely love living here. I have renewed twice already just because the location and staff are amazing. Very walkable to get food, to Amazon campuses, and a lot of bus stops nearby. Although there are pets in the building I have yet to see any doggy accidents anywhere in the building in my 2.5 years here. The rooftop is amazing and the Space Needle is your view. Lamp heaters, fire pits, and grills make the rooftop that much more enjoyable during the summer. Pascal and his staff are very professional but also very friendly. Always greeting me and my dog and offering us delicious treats (don't worry human treats for me). Highly recommend! (Sorry the review is so long, but calling a place home for so long comes with a story of course) Having lived here since the very opening of this building almost 3 years ago, and having lived at several other complexes nearby, I have a pretty good perspective on renting in Seattle and particularly at The Century. I had high hopes upon moving in. It was brand new construction, some things not even finished yet when I'd toured, with nice finishes and amenities on par with other buildings in the area. What sold me on The Century (Pillar Properties), however, was their stated commitment to treating their tenants as people and not as dollar signs- "Quietly Awesome" is the way they like to put it. In the first year, through a few changes of managers, things were great. The staff knew you and treated you as friends, packages were securely accepted and held at the leasing office, and I even recommended living there to several people. A few of them moved in as down the hall neighbors, but along with many other original tenants, they are leaving shortly. With the last change of management, things really started to deteriorate. Unfortunately, it has turned back to a nickel and diming regime like nearly every other property management company in Seattle. In my three years, I've stayed at the Century through many major and unpredicted life changes because it was, at the time, such a great place to call home. I first moved here with my long-term boyfriend to a small studio when I was working part-time retail and not making much money. When I got a better paying and more stable job, we transferred to a one bedroom to have a bit more space for the two of us. The transfer process was nearly seamless with the last manager. I felt he cared about our situation and was really on our side in making it happen. It involved signing a new lease though our old one hadn't expired, paying a transfer fee and ensuring the unit was clean, minus normal wear and tear. This is pretty standard in any move out and I didn't feel like I was under any special scrutiny or penalty. That long term relationship ended last year and management was again super helpful in getting the lease transferred over to a new roommate to make sure legal liability was with the correct parties. However, living in a ~700 sq ft one bedroom apartment with a non-romantic roommate of the opposite gender for a year can be an exercise in patience. So when we recently had the opportunity to move into a 2 bedroom unit down the hall, we communicated our desire to transfer to the new manager, Pascal. First we were told "We don't do transfers anymore," even though it's outlined in an addendum to our lease. Then we were told it was only for "extenuating circumstances" so, maybe, but they'd have to get special approval. Already I felt I was a nuisance just for wanting to continue my tenancy here. When the approval came through from the higher-ups, I was asked to come into the office to discuss the additional paperwork and transfer fees. That sounded fine to me as I'd transferred before and was pretty familiar with the process. This time, however, it was entirely different with the only goal seeming to be keeping, taking, and charging as much money as possible. I was given a 5 page list of every instance in which I would be charged for something, or for not cleaning something. What I find very interesting about this document is that it outlines what is and is not normal wear and tear, the lifespan of appliances, fixtures, flooring and after how long you are no longer responsible for their cost of replacement. If you're at all familiar with the Residential Code of Washington Landlord Tenant Law (RCW 59.18), normal wear and tear is not something clearly defined and can be interpreted in many different ways. When I pointed this out, the manager told me that normal wear and tear is the damage that would happen if a unit sat empty for a year. I'm not kidding. I was told that normal wear and tear is what happens if no one lives there. I'm not supposed to live in or use my apartment according to him. We would be held responsible for the cost of painting the entire unit, having the one room of carpet professionally cleaned, and if we didn't take down/shine light fixtures, clean heater vents, individually dust every mini blind, clean under the refrigerator etc, we would be charged for a full professional cleaning. After nearly three years of living here happily, I knew after a ten minute conversation that given the option, I'd move out immediately. I was no longer interested in transferring nor in any future interactions with management. To be honest, I have hesitated posting this review for fear of retaliation by a manager I have to pass by every day. How can I possibly feel at home in such an environment? I encourage you to look at the "not currently recommended" reviews too as many of my same sentiments are echoed by other reviews that "magically" have been silenced. read more

The biggest strength of the Century is the staff, always friendly and always helpful. The views are amazing and coupled with the fast internet that is available here through Condo-Internet it was a no brainer to select this apartment as my home. Used to be the best place in town, such friendly office staff would know everyone by name always be helpful. Now its just all new management. The struggle is real. 1. Location: Location is great, but since they have given the open parking to diamond parking to park, now all guests must pay to park. 2. Security Security was great, after hours staff was consistent, visible, helpful. Now they are no where to be found. 3. Pets Building had great pets, friendly people. Now I don't think they check breed or temperament, people don't clean up after their pets. 4. Homeless people Yes that is real, lot of them, alley behind the building gets shady. 5. Staff This was the biggest differentiation. It was not owned by Greystar (if you don't know what that means, look it up). Now all the good folks have left, and the company brought in folks who just don't care. They are more worried about nickel and diming. There is one good person left, sadly he is too low on the management food chain of the building. There used to be times I would feel guilty bugging office people for packages and other things and they would totally smile and stop what they are doing and make you truly feel like it was their pleasure to help you. Now its hard to even get a cart to move stuff in, you get mean looks when you ask for packages, it's a hard life. 6. Update: They no longer accept packages for residents. Amenities: They are standard (minus pool). Good luck though on the weekends. People bring everyone they know around town and its like a college dorm. Ask any resident the condition of the roof after new year's eve. Sidenote: if you work for any big company ask if they have a preferred employer discount. They do with most places. Also they have low income housing in the building. They won't tell you that when you go to lease. Just a good thing to know. The residents are great though no issues.update: They no longer accept packages for residents. As I said, continues to get worse. read more

Three years later, and we still love living at The Century! Hands down the best apartment I have ever lived in. I am pretty sensitive to neighbor noise, and that has never been a problem here. All of the staff continue to be awesomely awesome. read more

Great place to live, friendly staff great amenities and we love the location in Seattle, kind of in the middle of everything with access to the monorail. We are actually looking to move to a one bedroom from a studio, does anyone have a picture of the white cabinet finishes in the apartment we were curious what they looked like, and can't find a picture anywhere. read more

I lived at the Century for almost 3 years. I absolutely loved this place! Great amenities. The leasing staff and maintenance were always very friendly and helpful. I lived in a townhouse and I loved the layout and features within my apartment. I would have stayed here much longer but I am moving out of state. read more

I relocated to Seattle in November from Florida. It has been an enormous change of pace and transition for me. The Century has been an incredible home since day 1. I purposely waited a while before sharing my thoughts to see how it would be over time. Pascal and his team from top to bottom have been the most helpful and welcoming team of people that I've ever experienced. Maintenance has been quick to respond and always willing to help. Me and my 14 year old dog have adjusted to apartment living and hope to be a resident at The Century for years to come. Me and my husband have been living in the Century almost two months and we are loving it. Our apartment is beautiful, spacious, with a lot of natural light and facing a quiet corner. The building is quiet during daytime and also in the evenings. The only sound we have heard was the neighbor's dog barking but it has been only couple of times for few minutes and that did not bother us at all. The amenities are also nice. The best part is the rooftop terrace. Can't wait for the summer to enjoy that space. I have also been using the gym, which is nice, spacious and well equipped. Last but not least, the staff is also really nice and have been responding really quickly to our requests. read more
