Anyway, as I mentioned, it happens to be pretty cool. It has a nice atmosphere, and while it is sort of outside, it is also undercover. After lunch we wandered through the garden and down to the creek. Their use of local natives has inspired us for our own garden at home. It was deliciously melt in your mouth, nicely charred on the outside, tender and moist on the inside and packed full of flavour. If you have room for something sweet, you can admire the dessert selection which is akin to admiring a form of artwork. The delicate intricate design was something you'd expect to see from Heston Blumenthal's kitchen - and the taste is there too! I helped organised a gala event dinner for a work conference a few months back at the function room and it was spectacular. The rustic, old world charm with the stone walls, wooden barrels, against the glow of tealight candles just sets the mood for a beautiful intimate event. The staff were delightful to deal with and was efficient in our communications and catered towards every need. I would highly recommend Saltrams for a wedding or special occasion.
