I brought my 4 children in for their fantastic classes. They're first timers. So we signed up for the month of December only as a trial and paid cash with the owner Roger. We also paid for the introductory classes with no discount as offered on the site. My kids loved the classes and the teachers, once I actually figured out enrollment.
I almost did not get my kids in the classes because I walked into the front office on multiple occasions to ask for help (in signing up as the classes are full and there is a lot of action before classes, and the online system can be hard to navigate for a first timer) and the secretary there, ARI, was profoundly rude and calloused and unprofessional. When I asked for help signing up for the classes the first time, before I found Roger the owner, she ignored me and kept looking at her phone and the computer screen rather than help me. She turned her nose up at me and told me to figure it out online. I explained to her that I had tried but my phone wa snot allowing me to properly enroll all 4 children.
Eventually. The staff Kevin and Malaya helped me by sending me to Roger to sign up directly with cash. I expressed to Roger, the owner. that we would be doing the month of December and I could only pay cash due to the difficulties I'd previously had and not being sure if all 4 would be able to continue. He was kind enough to assist me, and told me that should be fine, and had to rush off to class, as I have said they are very busy with back to back classes.
After 3 weeks of classes, the week of Christmas holiday. I was called by ARI informing me she was unenrolling my children from classes and that they would no longer be able to participate at the cave. This was literally her greeting to me. I asked her why, and she said because I have a balance due. I informed that I had paid $700 in cash plus the first intro classes by card and that I did not owe anything, but that in fact I hadn't even finished the last week of class. She accused me of lying, talked over me and told me "if that's true than I suggest you call Roger". I told her that it is her responsibility to call him, since I am a new client with 4 kids paying for these classes as a Christmas present, I didn't feel in good conscience about her rudeness to me, her accusations and her demeanor. She proceeded to over talk me. Interrupt me rudely on purpose and on repeat (I have a video of the calls to show her character), and the way I was treated was so far out that I began to cry. She told me to provide receipts and proof that I had paid in cash. At that moment apparently Roger emailed her and verified that I had actually paid, and so she switched up her tone real quick.
I was so shocked and confused about
The behavior and the treatment I'd received by the cave front of house, that I felt sick to my stomach and decided not to even finish the last week of classes that we had prepaid for in cash the first week of December.
Fast forward to today. I got another call from ARI informing me that I have a balance due of $519.00. I explained to her again once again that I had paid all in cash to Roger and only for the month of December and she proceeeded to berate me and talk over me raise her voice and interrupt me again, and I have the video recorded so that I can show Roger first hand the person he has on payroll to harass and belittle, and demean his clientele.
I explained to her multiple times that I had paid in cash only for the month of December, and that I would reevaluate, but that my previous conversation with her was so jarring to me that I refuse to bring my kids into a place where families are treated this way and she told me that it doesn't matter because she has already unenrolled my children and we are no longer welcome there anyway. It was the vitriole for the third time with this person who is supposed Ro be helping children and families enroll in classes. I told her she should not be working with human beings at all, but behind a computer desk because never in my life have I
1. Been treated so rudely in all three occasions I've interacted with someone who is employed by the company I am paying for services.
2. Ever treated anyone so rudely in my life even if I had something against them.
3. Paid good money to participate in an activity for my children where the staff is borderline abusive in how they treat me, and I reaches to support or bring my children to a place where this level of blatant negativity and distort is tolerated. read more
