Actually called up to the restaurant and mentioned to the gentleman that answered that I received two small bowls instead of one regular one small and he was slightly rude, a little bit argumentative and said that I was wrong and they were both regular.. My vegan jerk mac was pretty decent, I'd give it about a 3/5. There was flavor but no seasoning if that makes sense. As for the salad, for $6, I am pissed about the amount of salad given. It was gone in like 4 forkfuls, very skimpy. There were like 7 leaves of kale and3 cubes of beets- I could've gotten a better and larger portion for the same price at Panera. On the fence about coming back.

Great addition to downtown Wake Forest food scene…read more This spot shares dining space with the Burger Shoppe on S. White St. Order at the counter, the food is served to your table. It's a fairly extensive menu for breakfast. Time from order to service about 10 minutes. Food is good! Tried chicken and waffle. It's a plate-sized waffle, freshly made, topped with breaded chicken. Chicken is tender but a little dry. Nothing that a nice helping of maple syrup didn't fix. Also tried the morning waffle special. This is a waffle, topped with an egg, bacon and avocado slices. Served piping hot, freshly cooked and a sizable portion. Always good to have more quality dining choices in town. I'll be back!

Ordering is done at the counter, and you are given a number, and it is brought out to you. The Lemon Tree has sandwiches, salads and soups to order. The menu changes weekly. You can order a sandwich, two sides, a beverage and a dessert for a good price. I went with the egg salad sandwich and selected two sides, my limeade and a brownie, all for $11. The egg salad was delicious, as were my sides of basil, tomato and cucumber and the berry salad. I liked that the Lemon Tree offers fresh and healthier options than other places. Both the food and service were excellent this visit.

I visited this location on Sunday, 5/17/26, and overall, my experience was just okay. I do want to…read moregive credit where it's due -- Brittany, the manager, was great. She made sure our food was remade and even refunded both of our meals after they came out cold and were not good. Analise, our server, also did a great job and did the best she could with the situation. The issues we had were clearly on the kitchen side, not them. For food, I ordered the Baja Turkey Burger with house potatoes and a mimosa, and my meal was actually good. My mom and brother both ordered the Trifecta, but both meals had to be sent back because they were cold, and the turkey sausage did not look appealing at all (they had run out of regular sausage that day). My brother ended up getting the BLTE with tomato soup, which he enjoyed. My mom switched to the same Baja Turkey Burger I had but with tomato soup on the side. The biggest problem overall was the kitchen consistency. My mom's turkey burger was only halfway cooked, and both original meals came out cold, which was disappointing. Another issue was the environment that day, it was extremely hot inside, especially with the heavy crowd, because the A/C wasn't working. I really hope they got that fixed in time for the hotter weather because it made dining uncomfortable. One thing to be aware of: they offer coffee, but don't really mention that it's an extra $4 charge, so just keep that in mind. The service and management were great, the food consistency and environment missed the mark during this visit. I honestly think going to the Capital Boulevard location may have been the better option.
