Jon is the man! I had severe debris damage in apt. and he methodically and professionally cleaned my sofa, my drapes and my carpet. His prices are also very fair. read more

Jon did an amazing job in our loft and brought back to life our 20 year old carpets. He was on time, very efficient, highly skilled and right on with his estimate. He was extremely reasonable in his pricing and wonderful to work with and didnt mind the 3 floors of walking upstairs while our elevator was out. Thank you so much Jon for giving us all the TLC our carpets needed. read more

Jon has been cleaning my apartment carpet for several years and today excellent and dried fast! I highly recommend him as Sweet and professional! Thank Jon read more

Jon does absolutely excellent work at an unbeatable price. I found him 6 or 7 years ago to clean rugs at my old apartment, and I was so happy to reach out to him again for carpet cleaning needs in my new place. He's responsive, flexible, professional, and efficient. On top of all that, he even put my shy cat at ease. I will definitely call him again! read more

Jon is absolute fabulous. He was here yesterday and my 25 year old carpet looks brand new. I'm serious . He is very professional and polite - obviously takes great pride in his work. I had him come into clean stairs and a very long hallway which was gross. I am going to have him come back to clean the carpet in the remaining rooms. read more

I had a coffee type stain running down a hallway and The Carpet Muse was able to clear it up completely - amazing work at a reasonable price! read more

In the past we've had our carpets cleaned by Coit, and this time decided to go with Jon, and so happy we did. Not only was he very responsive, friendly, professional and prompt, he did a better job in less time at a decent price. We will definitely be hiring him again and recommending him to anyone in need of a good carpet cleaning. read more

Super great awesome. Charged me less than quoted and did more work. got stains tout. Was nice to my dog and me. yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I couldn't be more impressed with John from Carpet Muse. His finished work removing some truly horrific stains at the place I'm renting, exceeded my expectations in terms of fixing both appearance and smell. The amount of improvement within a very short time is nothing short of astonishing. He was perfectly on top of all communication including his ETA on the morning of the job and billing at the end of it. Highly, highly recommended. read more

I've used Jon twice and each time his service was great. He was courteous, on time and got to work. Oh and the big one, he's affordable!! Due to my work I interact with all sorts of vendors and when I find one that I will use personally it means that he/she is awesome at what they do and priced right. The carpets looked great and I do believe he specializes in micro fiber couches. FYI - The Carpet Muse and Red Rugs Carpet are one in the same. read more

John is the best. He accommodates your needs, is professional, and a nice guy. The carpet Muse is a sure bet. read more

Excellent, prompt, courteous and good pricing. Could not have asked for a better person to clean my carpets, area rugs and sectional. I am very happy with the way everything turned out. Thanks Jon! read more

John was wonderful. He communicated extremely well in setting up the appointment and about what he could/couldn't do on the first call. On the day he came out, he called twice to confirm and set the arrival time. Our carpets (3 bedrooms, 2 staircases, and a hall) were all done in just over an hour and they looked amazing when he was through. The only thing I would recommend is pulling any artwork off the walls as his machine does tend to vibrate. One of my pictures fell off, but fortunately it wasn't valuable. His machine is also quite loud so you may want to warn cranky neighbors. Otherwise, John was top notch. read more

The first time I called John, I had just arrived from work at 9 pm and discovered my puppy had made a MESS on my white carpet while I was out, and I was freaking out. He calmed me down and told me what to do so the stairs wouldn't be permanent. He came super early the next day at 7 am and honestly, performed MAGIC. He was so nice, easy to talk to and a pleasure to do business with. It was a rented apartment in the city with kind of generic carpet. Four years, two houses and two kids later, we still call him once a year. Now we own and our carpet is much better and he takes good care of it and is very proud of his work. We recommend him highly. read more

I hired this guy to clean off white carpets on a condo for sale. The machines he uses did not do the job. He had to come back to corners and certain soiled areas by hand. His system is not efficient as steam cleaning. read more

Jon was so accommodating of my need for a carpet clean NOW and came the same day. Carpet is beige had oil, red wine and coffee stains on it and after they were done it looks amazing. There were a couple of stains that we knew were never going to come out but everything else was fine. So happy! his colleague was super nice as well and explained the process to my kids. Two great guys and a great company. Price was reasonable and I'll be using them again read more

Jon at The Carpet Muse lived up to the reputation of the other great reviews. He was prompt, neat and thorough. My old worn carpeting looks better than I could have ever hoped. I highly recommend The Carpet Muse! read more

We have been using John from Carpet Muse for close to 10 years. He is reliable and competitively priced. He comes to our house about twice a year and does a stellar job cleaning our carpet and both our indoor and outdoor furniture. He is both a consummate professional and a true gentleman. He always calls an hour before he arrives as a courtesy and always is extremely efficient with his time. I would recommend John for any job. read more

Professional, thorough, on time and reasonably priced. Do I need to say more? Returned my call, scheduled the appointment, confirmed the appointment the day before, arrived on time and cleaned our very well-used office carpet. It had more spots than a pack of dalmatians and he got every single one out. A great experience from start to finish and almost half the price of other quotes I received. A+ all the way. read more

So much dark beer had been spilled on my carpet over a year, and John was a game changer. He's an incredibly detail oriented person to work with and I'll be recommending him to friends in the area. read more

I've used several different carpet cleaners over the years. Then discovered Jon at The Carpet Muse two years ago. He cleaned our two flights of stairs plus the upstairs hall (all runners). The first time we had him do a couple of scatter rugs - two of them are used at the front door. He was done in an hour and everything was like new - even the soiled front door mats. This year we called right before Thanksgiving; he fit us in and (minus 2 of the scatter rugs) he was done in 45 minutes - again, back to looking like new. We have been sharing his number with our friends and will use him again. read more

I used John to clean the carpet for a rental property during the transition between tenants. He was extremely responsive to get started. Able to get there almost immediately to assist. We had to reschedule the night prior to the scheduled work and he was very nice about rescheduling to a new time that was convenient later that week. He was thoughtful in keeping me up to date on the work yet worked directly w/ the new tenant for getting in and performing the service. He called me back to let me know the work was less than expected and so billed me less than his estimate (which he bills in 1/10th of an hour). Most importantly, the work was fantastic and saved from needing to replace any of it. Will use again. read more

The reviews are right! After Jon finished the carpets were cleaner than I had ever seen them! I rent and they had been cleaned just before I moved in. The previous guy soaked the carpets, didn't get the dirt and charged more. Not Jon - Clean, fast, fair price and the carpets were great! felt better on the feet too! Also did a great job on our dining room chairs! read more

Jon was able to get a child's marinara sauce vomit stain out of a cream wool rug. Need I say more! He's professional and his prices are quite reasonable. I'd hire him again in a minute! read more

He got stains out of a rug I never thought would come out. I would definitely use him again!

Jon was really friendly but the experience hiring him was really horrible. The scheduling of appointment was fine, however, even till 30 min before the appointment I did not get anything. I thus called him to confirm he was still coming. He returned the call in about 15 min and apologized that he will be late. At the end he was about 1 hour and 5 min late. (but when he charged me, he claimed he was 55 min late, that's fine). Soon as he arrived, he apologized and claimed he will give us a discount. I thought it was fine. He starts the work. The way he cleaned the carpet was using a machine and a towel/mat to clean the whole carpet. Before me he was working in another 2 places already and after me he has another 4 clients to go. I counted the mats he has and the travel time in between, there is no way he can use a clean one for me and the rest of the clients. Indeed after he cleaned my carpet, I noticed there are some fibers on the carpet that did not belong to me. Very clearly he had to use a dirty mat to clean my carpet. In my situation, I just hope to hire a carpet cleaning to deep clean my house. My carpet was not very dirty to start with. His clean very clearly made my carpet dirtier. He was 1 hour late already and had to rush to the rest 4 clients. Other than the time I was watching him, he could not stay longer and clean carefully. He did not charge a very high cost, but hiring someone to make my carpet dirtier was not a good idea. I assume he cleans his mats everyday and thus I guess the first person per day can get good service. Sadly I was not and clearly he tried to sacrifice me so that he can still be on time for the rest of his day. read more

The best service we could've asked for. Jon's carpet cleaning is the example of how other business should treat their customers: professionalism, quality, respect and honesty all in one. This is the third time we are using his service in the last 2 years (we have very light beige carpet and it gets dirty easily). After every John's visit the carpet looks as good as new, and the cost is very reasonable. Thank you John! read more

John is the best in the biz! I've been using him for the last 3 years. I've tried a few others due to deals and last minute needs and no has done the quality of work that John provides. I have two small but very active children, our house gets lots of traffic and lots of spills . There isnt a stain that John cant get out, he's professional, always within his window, and his prices cant be beat for the quality of the work that he does! Best thing about his work , your carpets aren't soaking wet, and full of chemicals basically when he is done you can walk on the carpet!! I highly recommend John, his work, professionalism and results cant be beat! read more

Amazing and affordable service! Jon definitely goes above and beyond. Jon made sure to call me 30 minutes before his arrival and is always on time. My carpet is immaculate!!!! Thank you Jon! :) read more

It is so great to find someone so reliable. Our carpets look fantastic! Jon really goes the extra mile to make sure the job is well done.

Finally - someone who understands good service! John was courteous, patient, thorough, and professional. All 6 carpets look great. The price was right, and came in a few dollars below his phone estimate. He called to tell me when he was 45 minutes out, and came during the 1 hour window he'd set with me previously. Heads up that his equipment looks kind of beat - this is not fancy stuff. But the result is terrific. My hall runners are still damp, but they actually look lighter even wet - that's how much cleaner they are! Really big, enthusiastic thumbs up. read more

John, at The Carpet Muse (San Francisco and Emeryville), did an excellent job ,and was very fair with his price . He charged $75.00 for in -home cleaning of an 8 x 10 foot wool rug. He was friendly, professional , efficient, and punctual. I am happy to write a 5 star review, and to recommend this company to anyone who needs their carpeting cleaned. Of the 6 places I called , he was hands down the most fair with his prices. read more

This guy is the real thing. Absolutely fantastic service. Competent, professional, efficient, honest, fast and knows his carpets! I had a bad stain I was about to give up on and replace after having a bad experience with another carpet cleaning company who said nothing could be done. However I felt that someone who knew carpets might be able to help and decided to look further. I found Jon online and based on his years of working in this field, called and explained the stain to him. He was personable, straightforward, and said he would do his best. He came out the next day, called me when he was on his way, alerted me to any traffic delays, and arrived when he said he would. And OMG he got the stain out!! He got on his hands and knees and scrubbed with different solutions until it came out! Then he cleaned the rest of the carpet beautifully. It looks better than brand new! And he did the entire job in less than an hour, all with a smile and a great attitude. He also charged an incredibly reasonable fee, actually half of what the other cleaning company wanted to charge (the guys who said it couldn't be done!). Ofcourse there are no guarantees on things like whether a stain will come out, but you want someone who cares about their work, has experience in the industry, a positive attitude and understands value for service. This is the place! read more
