I can't believe no one has YeIped this place yet. I just drove back from Islamorada, after spending 2 wonderful nights at Caribbean Resort to celebrate mother's day and my son's 9th birthday. What could have been a 5 star review, ended on a sour note due to the poor attitude from the office girl at the check-out. I hope the manager(Mary) will read this and address your office staff on how to treat your guests. I will not put her name here, but she worked all Sunday 5/8/2011 So, what was the wrong attitude? Here it is. This is the first time at any hotel resort of this caliber, ($500+ per night) where after checking out at noon, we were forced to leave the property. We promtly checked out at noon, and since all of us had bathing suits on, i kindly asked the office girl if we could take a dip in the pool before heading back home. Bags were already in the car, we had our own pool towels (they don't provide pool towels at this resort). the whole resort was pretty empty, we were one of the only guests, so what's the big deal? right? Her answer was, NO. She said, you check-out, then you need to leave the property, She made you feel like you couldn't even breath in the property once you checked-out. Well, as we walked back to our car, we saw an empty pool (beautiful lagoon style one), so, we jumped in. Within 10 minutes, this office girls drove by in her golf cart and said, "Sir, you must leave, i was trying to be nice about it" "Nice abou it?" It wasn't the messege that was upsetting, it was how she addressed it. With a big fart face, saying she is being "nice" as she is asking us the leave? Other than this infamous office girl, everything else at the Caribbean resort is nice, not great. Rooms and furnitures need updates, sheets, blankets and pillows are sub-par level, TV is a 10 year old model. But, rooms are big, airconditioning works well, kitchen is equipped well and you get free Wifi. Grounds are kept beautifully, we loved the pool, fishing pier was great, (Mary, you should put a trash can out there at the end of fishing pier, so people can throw out their empty beer cans, rather than leaving on top of the fish cutting board) By the way, Mary, my kids and i picked up all those cans and threw them in the trash. There are many good things about this place, but it's amazing how one employee can ruin the whole experience. I will never go back! My 9 year old son says, "this place is a big waste of money"

Great place for a relaxing time off. The entire place is built with small beautiful homes/ bungalows and all of them equipped with a full kitchen. Outside of our porch had a gas grill. There are no food and beverage outlets at the property, hence highly suggest to bring your own food and drinks. They have a beautiful pool and deck, but no beach access. Another great amenities are the complimentary bike, kayak and paddle board. Definitely a cool place that we would like to go back once in Islamorada!!!

The least expensive room available was a One Bedroom King Room Resort View. I was advised I would be charged one night's room and tax approximately $322 (the price was somewhere around this amount) per night. My husband advised on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday the charge did not hit my account. I booked the deposit using a debit card. That following Tuesday morning I called at approximately 7:35 and got routed around to three different people who told me they could not find my reservation, couldn't/wouldn't make me a new reservation and then sent to in house reservations. After getting passed around by three different people I kept trying to make a reservation to correct the reservation that was clearly not made on Friday and my call was disconnected. I called back immediately and the person who answered the phone seemed to know who I was and not only would not help me make a reservation, told me NO. She would not make the reservation; it had to go through in house reservations. I then asked if I should call back at a later hour assuming no one would be in in-house reservations and she said yes. When I called back at 8:50AM Tuesday, a lovely person was able to help me however, the least expensive room in the wedding block was almost $900 for an oceanfront room. I had to settle for a Golf Course with two queen beds for $100 more than my original reservation. I understand things happen but I am very upset that my now room is far away from the resort for a lesser room at $100 more per night and the appalling treatment I received from three members of the staff on Tuesday morning. I sent this exact letter to guest services on Friday May 7th to explain and try and get back my original room and to be put back in the block. I have no idea how Cheeca Lodge managed to lose my first reservation but I am disappointed. I haven't heard a single thing from the resort since.

On the positive side,…read morethe room was clean and well-maintained, and the check-in process was very smooth and hassle-free, which we appreciated after a long day of travel. However, we felt that the property is quite highly priced for what it offers. Unfortunately, our comfort was affected by a few issues in the room--the bed made noticeable noise even with slight movement, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Additionally, the air conditioner was quite loud, adding to the disturbance. Overall, while the cleanliness and easy check-in were definite positives, the noise issues and pricing did not quite match our expectations.

The hotel itself was very clean, and the room looked like it was recently remodeled. The bed had a European style bottom on it where I kept hitting my ankle and toes. The mattress was kind of soft, but the pillows were really nice and comfortable. The bathroom looked rather old, and the shower itself didn't have a door on it. So you risk getting water onto the bathroom on the floor when you're just taking a normal shower. I liked the rear room door which led to the pool area. The pool was a saltwater type and very inviting. This was a major plus for this Inn. Get the towels from the front office and pick a nice spot around the pool. This area really was well done Shopping is a breeze with the Publix grocery store just one mile south. Many great choices for restaurants are all within 2 miles. There are no places to cook inside the unit, but there is a microwave outback in case you wanna warm something. A small refrigerator is provided along with a coffee maker and Keurig coffee pods. Try not to book a room facing the street, as it gets rather noisy at night. Also, foot traffic during was rather loud up until midnight. There is a great value in staying here as the price for rooms are very reasonable. I think I paid $136 for the night. The two women at check-in were very polite and attentive to my needs. Questions were answered, I think I would stay here again if I didn't have a room up against the highway. Be sure to inquire first.

Check in was quick, and very friendly with recommendations. Our room was on the second floor again, this time an ocean front and wow - it's worth it. We had the courtyard view last time and it's also a very pretty view - you can't lose. The pool area and bar is so wonderful - very scenic, and the service at the bar is great. They have a great menu for lunch options that they bring out to you. The room was very clean, modern, and spacious. You can request a microwave if you need too! There are bikes, paddle boards, and kayaks for rental for free. Lots of things going on in between the three resorts - we wish we'd had a chance to try the yoga! We will be back for years to come.

After 3 days my wife had to threaten the front desk staff with using towels to wipe her ass if the maids didn't restock the toilet paper in our room. Totally unacceptable for a resort. They kept assuring us the rooms service maids were coming in daily, but they never did until she threatened to come down and make a scene. The staff seemed unmotivated to complete even the basic cleaning tasks. We only asked for two coffee k cups, clean towels and the two room garbage cans to be emptied on a daily basis. That was just too demanding and the staff tried to mean-mug us when we came and went but finally got it done for the final two days of our visit. I'd advise you visit another property because the service is nonexistent and a total disappointment. Their on site restaurant was a joke as well. Completely overpriced and out of touch given the location. Every other restaurant we visited in the area was excellent, but theirs was almost always empty. The menu was way overpriced and there were countless local options that were much better and less expensive. Nearly all the staff on site see to be unwilling to provide service to customers and displaying a shitty attitude overall. Leadership changes need to take place or this property will crumble. Good location, just bad service with inadequate leadership supervision.

As Hilton Gold members, we were fortunate to receive a small room upgrade at booking, which we definitely appreciated. Let me start with the highlights the resort amenities are wonderful, especially for families. There were plenty of complimentary activities for kids during the day, and even fun nighttime events like dancing that were adorable and well thought out. It truly felt family-friendly, and there was always something going on to keep everyone entertained. The cutest was Santa pics with cookies and milk! The staff was attentive and kind throughout our stay, and honestly, that goes a long way. Great service can elevate an entire experience, and they really delivered on that front. That said, at nearly $1,000 per night during peak season, I did expect the facilities and rooms to be in better condition. The property has so much potential, but parts of it felt a bit rundown for the price point. The rooms could use some attention and deeper cleaning. I completely understand that this is a beachfront resort and sand is inevitable however we noticed quite a bit of sand throughout the room, even on the bed when it had been freshly made. I've stayed at other beach resorts where housekeeping was a bit more thorough in that regard. However nothing crazy but cleanliness is big in my book. One morning, there was also a cockroach at the coffee cart. My husband reported it right away to the front desk. The next few mornings the cart wasn't out, and I'm assuming they were addressing the situation, which I appreciate but it was still a bit off-putting. The on-site restaurants were good not extraordinary, but enjoyable and I felt the pricing there was fair considering it's a resort property. Overall, we had a great experience. The resort has incredible potential, and with a little more attention to upkeep especially considering the premium nightly rate it could easily be a five-star stay. The friendly staff and activities made a big difference.

So Baker's Cay was unable to contact him to let him know the suite he had booked for us with an amazing looking bathtub would not be available due to it not being fully completed with construction. So when we arrived they told us the room wasn't available. My heart sank. I know his sank twice as hard. He has his new wife with his wonderful plan to give her a beautiful bathtub and suddenly it all fell apart. The front desk was so kind though and I truly felt like they cared and felt terrible about this mistake. They really made up for it by giving us so many perks throughout our stay, including a beautiful room with the most amazing view. A shout out to their concierge, Ashley, who really assisted us in booking things! Now that aside, the resort itself is just soooooo relaxing! It is the perfect spot for a honeymoon or any kind of romantic celebration. We loved the love locks they sold in the gift shop and hung ours on the love lock arch. They offer floats, which we were gifted complimentary because of the mix up, and we had a private one. I haven't been that relaxed in a long time, just floating out in the water. Everything we ate was fantastic! Including room service, which was always quick to arrive. My favorite thing was the quesadillas at Dry Rocks! And the chicken dish at Calusa. One day we were going to head down to Key West, but just decided to stay at the resort because it was so wonderful to chill at. We reserved a daybed that day right at the water's edge. They set it up with towels and water and we were able to order food. Even the aforementioned quesadilla. I was in heaven. They have bikes you can use too. Those were fun to ride down to Shell World and get some souvenirs. There's also a pool with a wonderful jacuzzi that is hot, private and has strong jets! This was just the most wonderful honeymoon! Despite no tub, I was a happy wife! And happy wife, happy life, right?

The tiki bar does not have a liquor license ( margarita was made with wine), and the food was subpar for the price point (delivered to you in to go containers only with plastic forks). The atmosphere felt chaotic with children running and screaming throughout the property, yet staff were quick to police adults - even interrupting us for quietly playing cards on our own balcony after 7pm. Water sports were another frustration: staff were unfriendly, offered no guidance, and only appeared to yell at guests for touching equipment without a waiver, rather than having someone present to assist when guests of any kind are on the beach. Nothing on the property is open past 7pm, and guests are pushed out of the hot tub before 9pm. Overall, the experience felt overly restrictive, poorly communicated, and not worth the cost. You can tell that they really take pride in every area of the property, rooms, pool and grounds. What a joy!! It was a fantastic experience where we could forget about work and enjoy each moment. We had room 4 which was a kitchen, dining area, king size bed, and bathroom located near the dock. It was clean, up kept and we enjoyed our entire time there! The bed was comfortable and it had a nice TV. My husband brought fishing tackle so that he could fish from the dock and was extremely happy!! Next time he plans to bring his small boat so that he can dock it there. Upon our arrival we were greeted and checked in quickly and efficiently. Our questions about the area, restaurants, etc. were answered and he said he was only a text away if we had any questions at all. This was impressive to me and I was grateful. The sunsets were gorgeous and we were happy we brought our camera. We did not use the pool or the many hammocks and chairs on the grounds but we're happy they were there. We enjoyed the dock and porch area just outside our room and we are looking forward to coming back next year!
