I've been to BarWare three times now, and each visit has been its own little adventure…read more Visit #1: Absolute perfection. The female bartender was on it--friendly, fast, and she introduced me to my new signature drink, the Hold On To Your Britches. If you like a sweet cocktail, prepare to fall in love. I only needed a small bite, so I tried the grilled cheese... and honestly, it was silly good. The kind of good that ruins all future grilled cheeses. Trust me: get it. Visit #2: Stopped in just for drinks. Still good, but service was slooooow. I would've ordered another round, but eventually tapped out. Visit #3: Visited for Downtown Dining Week. The Caesar salad was basically lettuce in a monologue--no cheese, no croutons, just lonely leaves in dressing. Entrées tasted good but were tiny. My pasta was so spicy I couldn't finish it, but the short ribs with mashed potatoes were legitimately delicious. When I go back for visit #4 (and I will), I'm sticking with what BarWare does best: that fruity cocktail and the holy-grail grilled cheese. The ambiance and seating options are too good to stay away, even if the service and a couple dishes miss the mark now and then.

I had the sangria mixed with margarita. We had to sit at the bar because apparently you have to RSVP on certain days of the week. I enjoyed!

I came here to grab a couple of drinks with friends and was not disappointed. I got the "Walk Me Down/Adios MF". It is a variant of the Long Island. They made the drink extremely strong and I only needed one drink. I tried the Southwest eggrolls which tasted good but could have been fried harder. Peep my pics for some funny shots of your random white boy synchrony in nature. I have had several meetings out here as well. They do serve some small plates and other items to snack on during normal times. They do have some inside seating as well, but I dig the patio. They always seem to have something special, most unique, and damn tasty on their taps. My wife loves finding the fruity and funky beers that will carry. Me.... Just give me a damn IPA and let's move right along. Once, she had a beer thick with orange pulp and it as the most unique brew I have ever tasted. She has been chasing it since to no avail. To me, it was shit, to her, it was the next pinnacle to which nothing else has compared since. We come during Cooper Young Festival every year and the service can be a bit snippy and rushed. It actually pisses me off sometimes. I do understand the need to get people through the place quickly, but you can do so without being as curt and laconic. We will return, without a doubt. I do love beer. My only suggestion would be a corral of puppies to pet while you get wasted. That would be pretty rad, maybe like a puppy rental system could work. '24 - 3/100

The interior is not pretentious by any means and as a matter of fact there's a very neighborhood feel. You have to order for the counter and the young man running it (one of the owners I'm assuming) was exceptionally kind. I immediately picked the catfish and grits and it came out to my table in about 6 min. The fish was perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. The grits were amazing. They went from saying it was gonna be 45 minutes to an hour, they didn't have a drink machine so they had a very limited amount of drinks , they ran out of ice, and the food was good, but it lacked a little bit as far as seasoning goes. I ended up getting the strawberry Crunch waffle while it was good. It was extremely sweet. The catfish and grits were the saving grace of this experience.
