Reasonable prices and extremely good portions of coffee for the money. The staff is extremely personable and friendly

I love the environment, coffee and the baristas. I've been many times and I'm always excited like a kid on Christmas whenever I go. The coffee cake is amazing. read more

A 4 day sibling reunion resulted in this DNTWN coffee joint becoming the morning meet up spot. The space is tall, airy, bright and clean, and features a plethora of meticulously-cared-for succulents, 2 of them about10 feet tall. Imagine a greenhouse with none of the puddles. The menu was clear, with coffee, tea, chai and Matcha options, hot and cold options, pastries including the "French toast muffin", and sweetener options for the 2020s. Service was efficient and the lattes had leaf patterns in the foam. Tastewise, the coffees were smooooooooooth. Everything about this place, from the previous mentioned items to the rows of clipboards on the office wall, shows that whomever is in charge cares about the customer experience. This place is like a cheerful booster rocket for your day ahead. read more

I love everything about the Caffeinery. Their attention to detail and dedication to quality sets them apart in all things. Great environment and an all around phenomenal local small business. Super happy to have them open again post-Covid shutdowns. read more

Delicious coffee and a coffee cake that you won't be able to eat slowly. It is perfectly moist with a strudel topping that provides texture with its crunchy bits. Pastry case is full of scones and croissants and a red velvet muffin to name a few. I wanted one of everything and will have to come back again and again to sample all of them. Great music playing from the speakers but at a level that won't disturb or interfere with conversation. Atmosphere is warm and calming while you wait for the caffeine to kick in. House blend coffee is smooth and just strong enough. Staff was super friendly to this Indiana tourist. I want to sit here all day! read more

The Caffeinery - Interior - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Muncie, Indiana

We were walking around downtown Muncie and happened across this coffee shop. So glad we stopped in! Great atmosphere, great employees and absolutely great coffee! I had an iced white chocolate raspberry latte with an orange biscotti. Both were delicious. Lively music playing, WiFi or a nice place to sit outside and enjoy the day. I would definitely recommend you stopping here for a drink! I know I will be coming back next time I am in town. read more

Great coffee with great customer service. Staff is incredibly happy. This coffeeshop is clean and has great decor.

Such a welcoming place and the service was hands down the best in Muncie! Amazing coffee!!

Love this place in Muncie. My parents live somewhat close so this will definitely be a new spot for me when I'm in town. They have a wide variety of speciality lattes which sounded really good. I went with my regular latte and LOVED the rich smooth taste. They serve food here as well, bagels and more breakfast food items. I did not try any of the food items however they seemed to be very popular. So glad Muncie has a place like this!! read more

I have a special place in my heart for the Caffeinery. Going to school in the area, I caught myself at the Caffeinery all the time. It's a place to have a mini "escape". The atmosphere is so home-y and welcoming. Any excuse to go was a good excuse for me! Studying, hanging out with a friend, or just to treat myself on a stressful day. It's great for all types of situations. They have a good variety of drinks and I've enjoyed every flavor of latte that I've tried. However, I haven't branched out too much because I love my go-to flavors too much! However, I'm sure you would be satisfied with whatever you decided to try! I've had some of their food items as well, which are just as good! (I've only tried the gluten free stuff, but my friends love the bagels!) While it is slightly pricey, it's totally worth it for the quality as well as knowing you're supporting a local business. I'm so sad that I've graduated and won't be close enough to visit as often as I'd like. But I will make sure to stop in every time I'm back in town! Plus, it's the BEST spot to get super cute photos. read more

Usually a nonfat, sugar free vanilla latte taste about the same from anywhere, but this was extra good. I don't know why. Also, some small coffee shops don't offer free WiFi, but they have it and I needed that to do work. Will return anytime I am in Muncie. read more

We found our coffee place in Muncie! It made us feel like home in San Diego @ least this coffee house :) The place was crowded, good energy, excellent coffee. This is a comfortable shop with friendly staff and good coffee. I got a vanilla latte and found it a little on the mild side (could use more beans) but otherwise good flavored. The free WiFi is fast and allowed me to get some work done. This is a nice asset for downtown Muncie. read more

awesome atmosphere, delicious coffee, and kind staff. will absolutely return when in muncie

Ordered a large latte with an extra shot and tasted no espresso in the drink. It was tasteless and flat. Would not recommend. Place looks neat inside and would maybe give it another try but would do a French Press or pour over. read more

So, I'm originally from Muncie, but now have the privilege to visit from out of town...I'm not picky about a lot, but over the years, I've become snobbish with my coffee. We have a local roaster where I reside now, and whatever his special sauce is for his coffee, it's among the best I've had. Enter the Caffeinery: it's equally good. I've tried several of their specialty lattes, and I can tell you they nailed the recipe. If you like Almond Joy, or Cinnamon rolls, or just plain lattes, they are amazing. I highly recommend this cafe. He staff are friendly and the product is excellent. Muncie is luck to have an establishment like this downtown. Kudos! read more

Amazing coffee, amazing environment with the perfect college atmosphere, and I would definitely recommend the Thin Mint coffee!

Helpful staff and great coffee. Good atmosphere and nice looking place. Wish they had longer opening hours though...

This is a stop every time we visit family in Funcie. Cold brew, nitro brew, cappuccinos, I've never been let down. Cool atmosphere and friendly service. Can't go wrong here read more

Super friendly service and great coffee. The place has a great vibe overall so stop in and say hi

Muncie finally gets a serious coffee shop! As a hopeless coffee obsessive (I roast my own beans, have a burr grinder at home, and brew by weight using my Aeropress), I've been left to my own devices for a long time, so when I learned of The Caffeinery's opening, I was cautiously optimistic. Thankfully, it seems like the third wave of coffee has finally hit Muncie. First, a little background: for the longest time, the only available coffee options here were Starbucks and... Starbucks. I'm not so proud that I won't grab a latte or a drip coffee smothered in cream from them when I'm in a rush, but it's not really a destination for me. The Caffeinery, on the other hand, does it all: good espresso (check the La Marzocco FB/80 and small arsenal of burr grinders behind the counter), quick drip coffee if you need it, and a pourover bar with a variety of single-origin beans if you can wait for your cup. I've only been on their grand opening, but the ristretto and regular espressos I had that morning were both wonderful. They've since switched to Intelligentsia Black Cat beans for their espresso, so I would expect that any espresso or espresso-based drink is even better now. The space is huge and airy, with generous seating and views of downtown from the extensive windows. If you live in Muncie and care about coffee, you owe it to yourself to give The Caffeinery a visit. read more

Love visiting this place for the french toast bagel and whatever latte hits the spot (it depends on the day). Absolutely love the atmosphere and the cute look of the shop. The baristas are all incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, tho I usually try to visit when Mary is working (she is awesome). :) I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to kick back and relax in a hip and chill environment! read more

I was there when they opened, I am thrilled to return a few days past the shop's first anniversary in business, and I congratulate The Caffeinery on being a high quality, consistently bright spot in Downtown Muncie on all my visits in between. You can get a cup of Joe anywhere in town, many of those spots offer a place to sit. Most serve food with coffee as an obvious option. And then there is Seattle's most infamous coffee chain. Beyond the others, The Caffeinery stands tall. They do fine coffee and tea, they do it right, and they provide a superb space to enjoy it in. Aside from aesthetics and personal service-- which matter to me in specialty shops, and this joint certainly has that covered-- my favorite part of visiting is the diversity of offerings I can explore with a bit of time. I have been disappointed in the product sometimes if I go in and ask for a quick cup to go. Never bad, but not always great. When I allow myself some time to relax in the shop, ask the staff for recommendations and allow them to have some fun preparing my drink... bingo. A little time and an extra buck or two for them to brew me a nice single origin or specialty cup makes all the difference. Bring a book or a friend, slow down, and do coffee right Downtown. As for snacks-- don't expect lunch unless you're fortunate enough to show up when fresh soup is available-- the bagels are proper and straight from NYC (really, they are shipped in from the City) and you will find decent pastries. If you want a meal, head a block North or West for Casa or Barn. As for coffee... unless you're after 99¢ Joe, THIS is the joint. Stop in, slow down, enjoy a decent cup and discover that Downtown offers so much more than Muncie Gras. read more

Establishment is clean and healthy. Always a good coffee shop atmosphere inside. Coffee always good quality. Friendly service and always polite. Unfortunately not always open on the weekends. In muncie there are great opportunities to go for a stroll on a Sunday and walk to downtown but they are closed. read more

When I first walked into The Caffeinery in downtown Muncie, Indiana for the very first time, the initial reaction was "this feels like a big city coffee house not Muncie"! They do coffee perfect! That's not just my opinion. The Caffeinery has placed very high in national coffee contests too. The coffee, the teas, soups, muffins and bagels are all excellent. Speaking of bagels, you absolutely have to try the gravy bagels they serve on Saturdays! My favorites; Latte's, "Toffee Coffee" and any of their iced teas, perfect on a warm day. Muncie is so fortunate owners Frank and Lauren Reber decided to open this business in the heart of the city. And, judging from the crowd that frequents this gem Monday thru Saturday, the entire city is very grateful he did. read more

Nice little coffee shop. Not a lot of seating for busy Saturday mornings, but we got lucky and found a table! We had the Cinnamon Roll latte and a bagel with jalapeño cream cheese which was delicious. The windows are huge which allow for lots of natural lighting. Prices are a bit higher than I would like to pay since Ball State eats all of my money :-) read more

I had a great experience at The Caffeinery this morning. The Brazilian single source roast was full of flavor & delicious. I tried the Bagels & Gravy-- The Caffeinery's take on biscuits & gravy. I am going to be ordering this again-- it was that good. The server recommended getting it with the French Toast bagel. The spicy, savory sausage gravy mixed really well with the slight sweetness and cinnamon of the bagel. Service was ultra-friendly, and they place has a relaxed & comfy vibe. Looking forward to another visit here. read more

This place is a gem in downtown Muncie. The coffee is great and they sell fresh roasted whole beans too. I usually get the single origin offering of the day, but both the Albini and the Cubango were very enjoyable when I tried them. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Ask them about the slow bar and try something from that when you plan to stay for a bit. Just moved to Muncie and The Caffeinery has helped me feel less homesick for that Pretty City Chicago. read more

This is the best coffee house around. They keep a standard house blend and a varietal of the day along with all of the typical espresso based coffee options. The varietal of the day can be pretty good coffee. You are able to choose all types of brewing methods to boot. New coffee trends such as nitro cold Brew crop up appropriately. They keep a small case of baked goods as well as bagels and cream cheese options. This is the place to go if you need coffee in Muncie, IN. read more

I stopped by the Caffeinery on a business trip recently, to grab some early morning caffeine and a light breakfast. The place is really cool and has been set up well inside. There was a good mix of folks. Service was great, also. The coffee (drip, black) was good, but not great. The only real concern I had was a lack of healthy options to eat. I had a banana, but perhaps some more options would have been nice. Other than that small thing, it's a great place. read more

I was traveling on vacation and stopped at a different coffee shop each day. They all were good but this one was my very favorite. The best of 3rd wave coffee shops. I had a Guatemala pour over. Full bodied and delicious flavor. Also, they had fresh baked bagels and other options to eat. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The space was clean and well decorated. Very pleasant experience. Highly recommend. read more

Been a dozen or so times. Always get whatever single origin they have for the day (totally different coffee experience) and maybe a breakfast pasty.
