Previously was The Cabin, now Crab and Creel! Excellent food and service. Beautiful back patio and lots of space. Wonderful selection of fresh fish of the day. Highly recommend.

This place was amazing!! My friend recommended it to us as she'd done it before, and we had just enough time to stop for lunch in Mallaig before taking the ferry to Skye. We beat the "Hogwarts Express" train just in time - we were the first to walk into the restaurant for lunch, but it was quickly filled up. The interior was super cozy, and all of the daily specials were written on a chalkboard. My husband and I ended up getting an appetizer and soup each - I got the Cullen skink soup and daily special prawn salad, while he got crab soup and mussels. I LOVED my soup - it was the perfect amount of smoky and creamy, and the texture and size of food (potatoes and Fish) was excellent. I also enjoyed the bread that came with the dishes. My salad wasn't what I was expecting - the prawns were dressed in a sweet dressing and served over a salad (yum - greens). My husband got the small mussel pot and my god it was huge! The portions were extremely filling especially for the price points. We had a perfect view looking out into the street and got to see some fun Harry Potter costumes (RIP we visited the day that Michael Gambon died). Our server was extremely nice and attentive - he checked on us just the right amount, and crushed working the floor for all tables of the cozy restaurant. So glad our friend recommended this place!

When in Mallaig, this is your destination for seafood . Small, coZy, family-run restaurants who clearly love what they do. Each dish was perfection. We had lobster, Cullen skink, crab velvet, pork chops and mussels. Did I say mussels?? Absolutely the best!

Stopped here after getting off the ferry from Skye and had the most incredible seafood meal. We shared the seafood platter and a bowl of the Cullen Skink between 2 adults and 1 child - it was so much food and everything was fresh and cook perfectly. Craig helped us pick out food and drinks and was so knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant is small and they don't take reservations and they seat their last table around 7p so get there early! We have had so much good food on our holiday but this was absolutely the best. Well off the beaten path but worth it! The sticky toffee pudding was also excellent!

A nice little restaurant with tables close together and a congenial atmosphere. It was a bit busy but we enjoyed some good seafood here!

I ordered the Glasrach pizza (add jalepenos)! The wood-fired crust was delicious & the sun-blush tomatoes and olives complimented the mozzarella perfectly. Also, grabbed the Berries & Cherries Old Mout Cider to pair with it. This was the perfect meal for a cozy night at our AirBnB w/the beautiful backdrop of Skye Highly recommend!!!

We came here for dinner with the kids after a boat trip to Loch Coruisk in Elgol and we were pleasantly surprised by the experience. The restaurant is very low-key and has an almost American restaurant feel. There's less of an expectation of reservations and things just feel a bit more chill. We sat outside, which wasn't the nicest patio/deck, but you could see a mountain in the distance when you weren't looking at the parking lot. The restaurant focused on pizza including having a variety of specials. The pizzas were all good and my son in particular liked the cheese pizza. The only complaint was that it turns out the margarita pizza was also just the cheese pizza. Fortunatley, my son ate almost all of that leaving us to have the more interesting ones. They also had an above average beer list including beers in bottles from two different breweries on Skye as well as better-than-expected beer from other Islands. I hadn't ever had any beer from Cuillin Brewery before and enjoyed the Pinnacle Ale and the Skull Splitter scotch ale from Orkney Brewery was very good.
