*I MUST POINT OUT I AM ONLY RATING WITH ONE STAR AS IT WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO RANK ZERO, OTHERWISE I WOULDN'T HAVE HESITATED TO GIVE NONE WHATSOEVER*
One word, "awful", I would have used Maureen's over this place but sadly they don't currently offer delivery, so thought I'd give Cabin a go, something which I now highly regret. Ordered jerk chicken (SEE IMAGE THAT I HAVE POSTED FOR REFERENCE OF THE STANDARD) for myself and my boyfriend and when it arrived we were extremely disappointed as it the meat was completely dry, no sauce and not fresh (clearly been cooked hours before if not days) and then been bunged in the microwave (I have one of those at home thanks...) They also managed to forget the steamed vegetables we ordered (hardly a complicated order, there was only 4 things on it.)
It simply wasn't appealing, we didn't want to eat it as it was quite clearly sub-standard, so phoned the place straight away to inform them we weren't happy and to see what solutions they could come up with. When I rang I explained the problem and was told to ring another number. The so called "manager" picked up and was less than helpful and completely dismissed what I was saying telling me the chicken was dry because we didn't specify we wanted gravy when ordering, when I queried this he told me I was wrong basically and we must not be familiar with this type of food, which is utter nonsense as what cuisine is dry, overcooked and flavourless food the norm, and despite this MY BOYFRIEND ACTUALLY IS CARIBBEAN, so I think he would probably know how jerk chicken is supposed to be... I did tell the "manager" this but he just kept repeating himself over and over again that it's because we didn't order gravy. He had the cheek to tell me no one else had complained that week so it's basically my problem: (great attitude, and not even true anyway, check this review on Justeat from just 3 days ago:

"jerk chicken was dry and over cooked and like an old dry bit of leather. not good"
So, I gave him several opportunities to come up with a solution and eventually he said he would send us some gravy and that'd solve the problem. To this my response was "So I wait half an hour with this plate in front of me for you send me a tub of gravy?" and he told me yes and I can heat it up again and the problem with will resolved. At this point I was frustrated and sick of hearing the same line over and over that it's my fault for ordering the wrong thing and that I don't know anything about this Caribbean food anyway, at this point I was disgusted by his attitude and realised this was all the guy was prepared to do, so I accepted. The gravy arrived approximately half an hour later and despite the promise that it will cure all problems was also tasteless and improved the dish only very slightly, if at all. The gravy had no spice, it resembled English gravy that you'd eat with a roast dinner and had chunks of onion swimming around in it. At this point I saw no point in even attempting to contact Cabin Caribbean, who really need to learn a thing or two about customer relationship management and Caribbean food as well for that matter...
BAD food, BAD attitude and POOR service. read more
