The Buzzards Nest is a neat little bar.  It was busy, and the music was loud. Found out there was a darts tournament going on.  You could tell as the dart players had decked out shirts with their team name on the front and name on the back. It does look like a good place for darts as they have 8 dartboards.  If you're not playing darts, sit at the bar or find a corner. You're likely to walk in front of someone that's playing as the bar is small.  My friends and I found a corner with a foosball table and entertained ourselves.

A little too much Dokken on the jukebox, but a super fun bar to have a great time with friends.

I haven't been here in years and forgot how great this place is for bar food. This is one of my favorite fish fries in the city because it's hand breaded with a flavorful coating with flaky hot fish. The coleslaw is perfect because it's very fine with a celery seed. The rye bread is fresh and not dried out. My best advice is to get the breaded mushrooms. They are some of the best I've ever eaten because again they are hand breaded. On Fridays you must get free fresh cake again homemade not bought. We tried three of the desserts and they didn't disappoint. Drinks are a strong pour and if you're lucky the owners wife will serve you because she's awesome. Get your bootie to Stallis for some of the best bar food around. BTW their French dip was also really tasty.

The owner, Dean, always takes time to talk with us, which makes you feel genuinely welcome every visit. The food is better than you'd expect for a dive bar--we especially love their pizza (sausage, mushroom, and onion is our go-to). This last time we received free dessert too, bonus! They do a solid fish fry every Friday too--definitely worth stopping in for if you're local. If you're looking for a laid-back, friendly place with good food and great conversation, this is a great neighborhood find.

Pretty impressed by this place! It's a very unassuming location outside, but once you go inside,…read morethe vibes are immaculate. I love all the air plants they have and the dark interior really does make it more of a "classy dive" as their name suggests. We came here for a Sunday lunch and to catch the Brewers game. They had a three dollar special on domestics when we went, which was cool. Our server was nice and our orders came out promptly. The food was absolutely delicious. I was blown away by it actually. When I go to dive bars, I don't have the highest expectations for the food because usually the food is mediocre. However, at this bar, it really blew me away. I had the ODB smashburger with regular fries. The burger was juicy and flavorful with such a fluffy, soft bun. I love that they put crispy onion straws in it for a little crunch. The fries are steak fries. They had some beer batter type of coating that made them so crispy and yummy. I'm glad I stumbled upon this place. I look forward to coming back to catch another game and eat their delicious food!

I ended up sharing it with my husband. Wings were a little small but the flavors of the rub made up for that. My husband enjoyed his flatbread. We will be back!
