You can't go wrong with anything on the menu that Chef Beth Broussard comes up with. I highly recommend the Jalapeño Cheese Bread and Sautéed Catfish with Lemon Butter. Don't skip dessert and make sure you check out their daily fresh bakery goods. If you're looking for a flavorful meal in a relaxed setting, this restaurant should definitely be on your list!

The unmarked door in a back alley gives secret club vibes, and the underground basement aspect only adds to that. The pressed tin ceiling, antique mirrors, and decor provide an historic and upscale ambiance. The cocktail menu and spirit selection are extensive. The servers were very friendly and attentive, and you could tell they truly liked their jobs. Our server shared some interesting history on the building, the bar, and the decor and furnishings. He also offered some brunch suggestions for the next day. We liked this place so much we returned later. They closed earlier than expected but we were offered the opportunity to order a drink to go, an unexpected but welcome option. This is a classy and upscale bar option in a college town where that isn't the norm.

She was awesome, knew the menu and made great drinks. The jalapeño margarita was excellent, it was spicy and you could tell it was freshly made with the lime juice vs a premix. I decided on the tacos del mar with shrimp. What a treat, this is where the south meets Mexican cuisine. The shrimp was prepared in a roux that went with the traditional cabbage and cotija cheese. It was soo good. Pro tip: it is incredibly messy to eat, I got. side plate and stacked them like an enchilada. Good food and good service. Definitely recommend.
