This place looks so unassuming from the outside but it's so cool inside! Trendy and upscale with freshly made mixes. I love they support a different cause each month by using proceeds from a specific drink of the month. We went on Wednesday which happens to be whiskey Wednesday- lucky us! We tried the Southern Baptist, the Hightower, and an old fashioned. The Southern Baptist is fantastic if you like ginger, which I do!! The Hightower was light and refreshing with a touch of honey. The staff are evidently all friends who seemingly love being there and being with each other. The atmosphere is positive and fun while also being relaxed but nice enough for a date. I went to Tuscaloosa to visit my brother, and he brought me here after a sushi night at Chuck's Fish. Session is the perfect place for an "adult" night out. It's a lot more pricey than the surrounding college bars, so you won't find as many rowdy students here. The drinks are more upscale and so unique! I loved being able to try so many different cocktails that you won't find anywhere else. The service was great, the owner was so nice and the drinks were beautiful! The bar is unique in that it resembles a speakeasy, with a "hidden" entrance. I love the ambiance and style inside, and when we were there it was very laid back/a relaxing place to have a few drinks. I cannot wait to come back to Tuscaloosa and spend some more money here because it is so worth it! read more

At first they weren't going to seat us because our entire party wasn't there, but they sat us shortly and even moved us to a bigger table when an additional guest joined us. Very good customer service. The drinks were fresh, bright, and well crafted. They were timely and exactly as described on the menu. If you're an allocated bourbon fan, ask before they pour! A friend and I went to enjoy a couple of bourbons last night. Ordered a round ( two 2oz pours) of Elmer T Lee and then a round (two 2oz pours) of Old Forester Single Barrel Rye. When closing out, the bartender could see the shock in our eyes as I received a bill for $120 for the Elmer and my friend $150 for the Old Forester. He asked if anyone had explained the prices when we ordered, which we replied no. The bartender explained that they have placed extremely high prices on their allocations so a few people do not wipe the bottles out upon arrival. I cannot speak to the price of the Old Forester, but this would have been a great heads up on the Elmer. It's a great bourbon that you usually pay $10-$15 an oz at most bars (2oz pour would have been half the price. Overall great atmosphere and spot, just could use some transparency on allocation prices. read more

We decided to swing through Tuscaloosa on a whim and will be coming back specifically to visit this bar. The staff was extra friendly and knowledgeable - Hunter and Hyatt in particular but everyone from the host Julian to our server (didn't catch her name but she was awesome) was spectacular. The drinks were amazing with extra special touches like pecan oil on an old fashioned and a lemon rind effervescence over the espresso martini - this is coming from a self- proclaimed "cocktail snob" - some of the most expertly curated cocktails I've ever had.
