Great Food, just needs a better location! I came in with my friends since they came back in town for a visit. The chef was a nice guy, real cool, however it was a bit confusing to show up and it was in a bar. The music was pretty loud so it was tough to engage in conversation with my friends. I had the Shrimp Cheese Fries, half we're wrapped in bacon and the other half deep fried. This meal was absolutely delicious!! For folks looking to come here, it is in a bar and it's off Charleston and Pecos. Their logo is on a banner by the front door, but not so visible when you first drive. The burger lab came to my office for lunch so we walked downstairs to check it out. I ordered the black bean veggie burger and my coworker got the classic. We also got the Cajun sweet potato fries and the onion rings. The veggie burger lacked a little flavor, but overall was very good. If I had to do it over I would get the spicy veggie burger to liven it up a bit. My coworkers classic burger was requested as medium well and it was super pink. She said it was nothing special, but not bad. Sweet potato fries were good but could have been crispier. The onion rings were SO GOOD!! The "experiment sauce" that comes with them is like a spicy honey mustard vinaigrette hybrid. It was amazing, and probably my favorite thing we ordered. Staff was nice and service was fast. Arrived around 10 PM on a Friday. Not busy yet as everyone started showing up around 11:15. We get the menu with extensive options as impressive as the Instagram. We were excited and drove 30 minutes to be here. So we want 2 things. The hot Cheetos burrito and the carne asada shrimp fries. We start to place our order. Immediately told after we order that SURPRISE there's no carne asada. Wow ok. Early on a Friday night. My brother ordered his burger but now my friend and I have to ponder the menu again, half of which are filled with carne asada. So after brainstorming for 10 minutes, we ready to attempt to order again. Now we find that SURPRISE, there's no pork either. What? So we hastily order wings (which we could have gotten quality wings 5 minutes away from home). I mean, he's gotta have wings right? Wings come out 45 minutes later, (My brothers burger and onion rings are already demolished) and we're starving. I ask for ketchup with my fries. He says he spaced out after he brings it 10 minutes into my meal, fries are no longer fresh or plentiful (I ate most of them by this time). Time to pay. The restaurant is located inside Barley Pops. Cool, laid back bar . Great drinking prices but the main reason I came was for the food . I ordered a bulgogi burger with cheese fries w/ no nacho cheese only made a special request for shredded cheddar cheese only . The chef Ivan was super cool asked me exactly what i wanted and even suggested great ideas . Definitely will be back to explore more of the menu because the food was amazing!! read more

Had some food trucks in the neighborhood; after checking them out decided to try the burger lab. Super friendly; their chalk board menu is fashioned after a periodic table and they have black bean burgers with pretzel buns; I was sold. Ordered the black bean burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was good, but wasn't super flavorful. I think I'll try the spicy one next time. The sweet potato fries are really good; I think they had Cajun salt. Whatever it was it just gave them just a little bit of heat and they were delicious. Cost about $12; worth it in my opinion. I would definitely check em out again. read more

Walking into this place, it's a hidden gem! The restaurant is located inside Barley Pops. Great and affordable drinking prices ! But the main reason why I came was for food . I've been following the burger lab for about two years and let me tell you the food is worth any drive you make . The business is barely re opening and is not like there last location. The chef Ivan is the SERVER, CHEF AND CASHIER. If he takes a bit to get to you enjoy a beer or soda and understand it's a one man show . The staff is quick with a smile and very nice. They accommodate food allergies with no resistance. I asked for a burger with no bun and they didn't blink, but instead offered to wrap it in lettuce. The guy behind me told them about his dairy allergy, and they grilled his burger with no butter, and left the butter off his bun. Service is fast; I had my order in my hand before the cashier even finished printing out my receipt. I got the classic burger since it was the daily special; burger, fries, and drink came to $10 instead of $13.50 for specialty burger combos. It was a thick patty of quality beef. Not the juiciest I've ever had but by no means dry. The lettuce was excellent, the cheese was nicely melted, and the red onions and pickles were great complements. The place where this food truck shines is their unique burger dressings and especially their house-made sauces. Personally I would put their burgers ahead of Five Guys but behind Burger Fi. Quick and legendary service with the upmost quality in food. The menu is intensely amazing especially with their own creation called The Dongle. I've been lucky enough to try them a few times since they come to my job once a month. Their burgers and fries are so delicious! Get the fries loaded and they are even better. Burger Lab was amazing! First time having it today and I was so surprised at the quality of the burger. First the patty is super thick and they cooked it to medium perfectly; which is so rare!
