Weve tried several times to be patient with Burger Barn... Tonight we received a RAW hamburger, called Burger Barn to ask them to please remake it and they took NO ownership of the situation. They told us because we placed our pickup through the YELP app that I would have to go through the 3rd party service (Grubhub) when something is wrong. And told me us Grubhub would refund us. We have a family of 6. 1 person didnt get a meal with the rest of us because he had to leave to go get something else. If I wanted to keep my money, I would have cooked. My husband and I ventured here for lunch after reading the Yelp reviews. It was pretty busy when we arrived around 12:30 on a Wednesday and parking was quite the task. I ordered the Original with American Cheese and my husband ordered the Lucy burger. The cashier made sure to tell us that the Lucy would take at least 20 minutes. We weren't in any hurry, so we said okay! While we were waiting another couple at the next table had told us they had been waiting over 40 minutes and still had not received their order. They had to get up, stand in line, and ask about their order. They eventually got their order, however it was incorrect, but they decided to just eat it given how long it had already been. After 35 minutes, our food finally arrived. That's a lot big time to wait on a burger and fries. We each made ours combo meals and got the fries. The burgers looked good, but lacked any real flavor. The fries also looked good but tasted like old grease that needs changed. While we won't rule this place out for another try, we probably won't make the 12 mile trek here when we have better burger options closer. read more

Let me start with I have been to The Burger Barn many many times and have always had a good experience, but thus experience has ruined this restaurant for me and I will never be back. We visited on a Saturday night and the place was busy. We each placed an order for fish plates. 2 grilled, 1 fried. After waiting for over 30 min our food arrived. One grilled fish plate arrived with the wrong side and 2 of the plates arrived as sandwiches. We told the waitress of the mistake and she walked away with the sandwiches. She came back a couple minutes later and told us the manager told us to keep them. We assumed they were remaking our correct orders so we waited. After 20 min I asked the server if our fish was about ready. She said let me go check. The stand in Manager came back and said they would not be remaking them because we ordered incorrectly. I protested and he said let me call the manager. After speaking to the manager for several min I went to the counter and asked them to just refund our money. He told me they would not do that but they would remake them and I would pay the difference. I asked them to reprint our receipt. I noticed they wayyyy overcharged us with our first order, so there was not a difference in price.. I waited for another 15 min for the remake. When I got home, the order was again wrong. 2 grilled plates. When I was talking to the manager he said they had a lot of new people and hiring was hard. I can understand making a mistake but not taking ownership is something I will never understand. After I got home I hit a call from the restaurant asking if when I talked to the manager did he ask me to pay the difference?? I'm glad I was able to try this small, local burger chain during my last visit to Richmond/Rosenberg! There are so many burgers to choose from and size wise they are yuuuge. I had the jalapeño burger and it was true to it's name, topped with lots of jalapeños with a nice kick to it. There are also a lot of sides besides fries and they all sound good! I tried the southwest egg rolls that all the Yelpers mentioned and those were a great complement. Service is friendly and food came out quickly despite how swamped they were in the 2:00 hour. It exceeded my expectations in terms of size, quality, taste, crunchy bacon, and freshness of the vegetables. The fries were ample, crisp, but a bit salty. Came here because of the reviews and I definitely didn't feel the same way as some follow yelpers. I got the Cheeseburger Combo. When I received my food the fries were hard and were not freshly made. I sent them back. When I received them a second time they were still hard. I don't know how or what they fry them in but how do u mess up fresh cut fries. I work about 8 mins from there. I got back to work and proceeded to eat the burger and my lettuce was totally soggy so I had to take it off. What a bummer! GREAT BURGERS! Burger Barn is the perfect name for this little jewel in Rosenberg, TX. I can't think of another place where its name basically says it all. When we think of a barn, we tend to think a country, old fashion, back-in-the-day setting. For Southerners, we tend to think of the good old days, when we we were care free kids, who only had to worry about standing up to bullies and eating all of our food so we didnt get fussed at- the good life. Eating at this establishment will definitely bring you back. Time seems to slow down in this part of town. Burger Barn's food is wonderful and priced on the cheap to fair side of the price scale. The burgers are delicious, with a variety to choose from; in the words of a once popular Hip Hop song, "You can have whatever you'd like". I've tried the fried mushrooms and they are great. I see why they're a popular menu item. Overall, this a great place to sit down with the family and have a great comfort meal. The food usually comes out quickly. Before visiting myself, I recall asking people what they thought about the place and I recieved was told they were "okay". I'm glad that I still went out on a limb and tried Burger Barn out for myself, instead of going off why I heard and staying away. That would have been a big mistake. Came here for lunch and ordered a burger of course. They have about 25 different burgers, most of them are unique. I wanted to try the peanut butter burger but I chickened out. We ordered fried pickles and they were really good, although a little greasy. The burger meat had great flavor. I come here because it's super close to my job. I love that it has so many options of burgers , and their spicy jalapeño sauce for my burger. They have really good sweet potatoes fries.
